Episode 64: The Undistributable 3 - Lynch, Waters, Coppola

Giles and Greg return with the weird movie news and previews for the busy second week of April, 2024! First up, three directorial giants can' get distribution, as Netflix passes on David Lynch's animated "Snootville," John Waters has Audrey Plaza but no money to make "Liarmouth," and Francis Ford Coppola can't find anyone to take on his massive "Megalopolis." In theaters, we have the Zellner Brothers Bigfoot movie "Sasquatch Sunset"; the surreal Swedish/Indonesian colonialism drama "Sweet Dreams" (without Johnny Knoxville); and the Belgian/Congolese horror "Omen." Finally, we mention Kino's premiere of the uncut version of Stanley Kubrick's debut, "Fear and Desire," with nine minutes unseen since 1953; Mondo Macabro's discovery of the bizarro Indonesian b-movie "Special Silencers"; and Criterion's 4K UHD upgrade of "Picnic at Hanging Rock.".
