He says the defendant, his great-aunt, hired him to paint her home but didn’t pay him, so he’s suing. The defendant says she’s been on her own since age 14. She claims the plaintiff didn’t complete the job, so she doesn’t owe. She’s countersuing for a refund. Then, The plaintiff worked for the defendant and claims she’s a drug addict who passed out at work several times. The plaintiff is suing the defendant for unpaid wages after she sent an invoice and didn’t hear back. The plaintiff is also suing for defamation of character. The defendant claims she did pay the plaintiff, but the check bounced. She also admits that she does take pills but insists they’re all prescribed by a doctor. The defendant is countersuing the plaintiff because she believes the plaintiff stole property from her store.
