Healing Grief and Loss

from Trauma Recovery Anonymous · host richiejtierney

Healing Grief and Loss can feel like an impossible task for many. But, if we can truly embrace this concept that the Loss didnt happen to the person we are today; that in fact; it happened to a younger aspect of who we are, in our history. Then it makes perfect sense to give the details and baggage of that loss and grief back to our younger self who actually suffered the loss. Looking back we can see how soul destroying it was for them, and as such we are consigned to accepting it didnt happen to the person  we are today. Today, we should be focusing all our attention, love and support on those around us, in this land of the living. All spiritual traditions allow their people to grieve; cautioning them to keep it to 30 or 60 days. At the end of that period of time, they have one final farewell for the deceased, and then  return to the land of the living in the now. The Trauma Recovery 2 hour healing event, enables us to give such details, baggage, pain, anger and hurt,  back to that younger version  of us, so they can step into the light and take personal care of our lost loved one. We then embrace the 12 steps of Trauma Recovery Anonymous to undo all that dysfunctional grief and loss that robbed us of  the ability to be present for all the others who suffered the loss too. We get to make amends and restitution and to make a difference in the present as a show of love and respect for our lost loved one. There comes a time when we have to let go of the victimhood of the event, accepting we didnt suffer the loss back then; and so that grief and loss causing victimhood, was never ours to own. We also need to make peace with God; we don't know why our lost loved one was taken from us; but we do know they are safe in the arms of Our Father, in the mansion prepared for them; and for this to be our truth, we must do right by them. These 12 steps will help us make peace with the loss, the reasoning, the pain and hurt, the sense of failure to protect and save our loved one; we need to let go of all of it, and these 12 steps are a plan for living, that empowers us to achieve this. Later on, we might meet others who felt as we did, who acted as we did, and this healing of the hole in our soul will grant us the gift of being able to help others heal This is where Trauma Recovery Anonymous comes to the rescue.
