Born in Egypt, Tamer immigrated to the United States with his family as a young boy. As an adult, he briefly worked with a fugitive task force which led to a career working as an undercover narcotics agent. During his career in undercover narcotics, Tamer worked on over 2,500 investigations, including narcotics, political corruption, gun trafficking, and child abuse cases. In 2008, he worked with an elite National Security Covert Operations Unit with the United States government, which focused on international terrorism cases. After serving in the FBI, Tamer began an executive management position in law enforcement, where he has served for over 26 years.
