My husband and I have refined our process each year for how we do our new year planning and goal setting. Part of that is reflecting on our goals from the previous year, and giving ourselves a letter grade for how we did in each  major area of our life that we set goals. Since success (and lack thereof) leaves clues, we learned so much from the areas we had solid plans and worked together on vs goals we left more up to chance.
