from Taylorsville Community Church Podcast

Today, as we continue our journey through the book of Acts, we explore how giving can advance the kingdom of God. We look at Barnabas, whose generous heart reflected his deep commitment to God’s work, and contrasts this with the story of Ananias and Sapphira, whose deceitful giving reminds us that God cares more about the integrity of our hearts than the amount we give. This week, we challenge our congregation to contribute to The Warehouse, a new project aimed at serving the community. We also reflect on other examples of sacrificial giving, such as the poor widow in Mark 12, who gave all she had, and the young boy with five loaves and two fish in John 6, whose small gift was multiplied by Jesus to feed thousands. These examples teach us that it's not the size of the gift that matters, but the heart behind it. As we give towards The Warehouse, we are not just contributing financially but investing in God’s kingdom and the future of our community. Let’s give sacrificially, trusting God to use our gifts for something greater than we can imagine.
