"Minute with Mayor Mike Wilson" News Director Greg Taylor talks with Red Wing Mayor Mike Wilson with a recap of the City Council meeting on Monday, the visit from the Golden Rule sailboat, new Police officers sworn in during meeting, and council received a report on the state’s Toward Zero Deaths efforts. The Council overrode the Mayor’s veto on the matter of the purchase and sale agreement with Canadian Pacific Railway for the right of way needed for the proposed Riverfront Trail Segment 3. Mayor was not in favor of the council’s approval of providing each Officer of the City Council an employment letter, similar to those recently provided to the Public Works Director and the Police Chief. The vote was to pay six months' severance in a case where their termination was not performance related, or a result of a criminal act or violation of the City' s personnel policy.
