Mitos comunes sobre la salud oral Uno de los mitos más comunes es que si no duele, no hay problema. Muchas enfermedades bucales, como la caries o la enfermedad periodontal, pueden avanzar sin dolor. Otro mito es que cepillarse fuerte limpia mejor; en realidad, puede dañar las encías y el esmalte. Por eso, es clave educarnos y visitar al dentista regularmente. Consejos prácticos para el cuidado diario Primero, cepillarse al menos dos veces al día con una pasta fluorada. En personas mayores, la atención a prótesis, encías y la hidratación es clave, ya que la sequedad bucal es común y puede aumentar el riesgo de infecciones.
