Online to In-Person: "Vaginismus" Case Report (Vol 2)
from Pelvic PT Rising · host Nicole Cozean, PT, DPT, WCS & Jesse Cozean
In Part 1 of this case report we discussed the telehealth evaluation of a patient presenting with a vaginismus diagnosis.A few weeks later, we had the opportunity to actually work hands-on with her after the Coronavirus restrictions were lifted.Getting to work with her hands-on after doing a remote consultation was eye-opening. It really showed the limitations and challenges of telehealth, and that if we're going to continue incorporating remote visits as a regular part of treatment going forward we're going to have to drastically improve our online process. Hear about what we picked up in person that we couldn't get over a video call, how the initial hypothesis completely changed and why we didn't feel like she really even had vaginismus at all!ResourcesPelvic PT Essentials CourseGet in TouchWe'd love to hear your feedback, questions and ideas for future podcasts.
