Segment 1Parish of the Week: St. Rita Catholic Church in Clarklake, MIFr. Bosco Padamattummal is the Parochial Administrator of St. Rita Catholic Church in Clarklake, MI. He was ordained a priest on April 29, 1992 in Kerala, (KER AL AH) India, near the southern tip of the subcontinent as it juts into the Indian Ocean. In 2004 Fr. Bosco came here to serve in the Diocese of Lansing. Since arriving he has assisted at four different parishes – St. Thomas Aquinas in East Lansing, St. John in Fenton, St. Francis of Assisi in Ann Arbor, and St. Mary in Manchester before coming to St. Rita where he is serving as the Parochial Administrator. In December 2015 Fr. Bosco was proud to become a naturalized citizen of the United States.Segment 2Cardinal Pizzaballa to visit Detroit from Dec. 4-7 to raise support for Holy Land“Detroit will welcome Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, OFM, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, for a pastoral visit from Dec. 4-7, during which the cardinal will raise support for the Christian communities in the war-torn Holy Land. During Cardinal Pizzaballa’s visit to southeast Michigan — an area that boasts a rich and diverse tapestry of Middle Eastern communities — he will meet with the faithful, celebrate Mass, and participate in events that celebrate the spiritual and cultural bonds between Detroit and Jerusalem.” Fr.
