Parish of the Week Wednesday!

from Epiphany · host Vanessa Denha Garmo

Fr. Chas Canoy has been a priest for the Diocese of Lansing since 2005. He grew up in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 1994. After working for General Mills as a business planning associate, he studied philosophy at Franciscan University, where he dated a young lady from Michigan. That relationship led him to moving to Ann Arbor and working at Legatus until 2000. A transformative 30-day Ignatian retreat moved him to enter seminary. After his priestly ordination in 2005, Fr. Chas served at parishes in Ann Arbor and Saline before returning to Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit in 2010, this time to serve on the faculty while completing his S.T.L. degree with a specialty in the New Evangelization. Since 2014, Fr. Chas has been the pastor of St. John the Evangelist in Jackson, Michigan, while also serving as the chaplain for the Ann Arbor Chapter of Legatus. He still enjoys his childhood sport of golf, but now with a glass of bourbon on the rocks afterward. Get full access to Epiphany at epiphanyradio.substack.com/subscribe
