Send us your feedback — we’re listeningPhilippians 4:6 — Jesus, Calm My Anxious Thoughts and Give Me PeaceTheme: anxiety • restlessness • surrender Welcome to Daily Prayer with myself, Reverend Ben Cooper. Wherever you are in the world, thank you for making Daily Prayer part of your life and part of your day. In these early hours, when the mind can become restless and thoughts feel heavier, we turn to Jesus for peace. Philippians 4:6 (NIV) says: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Psalm 91 reminds us that as we rest under the shelter of the Most High, we are held securely, even in the quietest and most vulnerable moments of the night. Lord Jesus, in this hour of stillness, we bring every anxious thought before You. When the mind will not slow down, bring peace. When worry repeats itself, bring calm. When rest feels distant, draw near to us. Help us to release every concern into Your hands and to trust that You are already working in what we cannot yet see. Jesus, You are our peace in the night. Jesús, calma nuestros pensamientos y danos Tu paz en medio de la noche. Jesus, acalma os nossos pensamentos e dá-nos a Tua paz nesta madrugada. Across the world, these early hours are shared across Brazil, the United States, Mexico, Spain, the United Kingdom, and South Africa. Lord, be close to every listener and bring rest where it is needed most. Thank You that we can release every anxious thought into Your care.
