Prayer Works- it's as easy as..

from Trauma Recovery Anonymous · host richiejtierney

Prayer works for all of us, especially the lost, the forlorn, the abandoned, the betrayed, the lonely, those who feel they have been rejected by God.  Its as easy as breathing in air, and it doesn't take a lot of energy. If you are church hurt, and have no desire to join any man made religion, or any of the 45,000 different churches and denominations worldwide, that's ok! You don't have to, at least that was my experience.  All that is required is some of that open-mindedness to try something old something new ; some honesty to  admit your best efforts, and mans best efforts, have failed you and you are  full of anger, despair and depression, and the willingness to do whatever it takes to change your circumstances. understand that simple prayer can enable you to claim a much needed miracle: to quieten the voices in your head to cast out your demons to slay your dragons past  to get 8 hours of peaceful sleep each night  to be able to claim peace of mind in any moment. try this tonight!  in the morning, realizing it works, use it throughout your day; don't tell anyone about this until you feel more comfortable being in as relationship with God. He doesn't mind waiting until you are ready, He has waited this long already. Chances are your family and friends might be church hurt, woke or just unbelievers and they might reject you, and you are not strong enough just yet to stand on your own two feet; so be cagey if you have to ; self care and self restraint are two great practices to develop. Grab a pen and paper on this page make a list of every person, place, thing, feeling, emotion and thought, every fear and resentment [ don't leave anything out] [have a box of matches or a lighter handy for afterwards]   The Prayer Practice stand in front of your bedroom mirror, make eye contact as you recite each line of the prayer {use my words as they are or change them if you feel the need to} "Our Father, I have carried this cross since the day i was born and like your son Jesus, I have faltered more than once. It's all too much for me; the voices in  my head that undermines and ridicule me; the depression and despair of the past; the anxiety and fear of the unknown future; and this list.....[insert your list here].... This perfect stranger Richard tells me, that even I can ask for you to cast out my demons, do all of that above and in exchange you will give me 8 hours of peaceful sleep. Lord, I give you all of these things freely and unconditionally. I understand you will return them to me in the morning, or earlier, if I want them back and so this is a deal I am content with. thank you Lord, Amen." Go to your bathroom, take your list, tear it up, burn it and flush it down your toilet. Return to your bed, place your head on the pillow, place a gentle smile on your lips and fall into a deep sleep In the morning, realize you have just performed a promised miracle of the bible, all you had to do was to ask for it. Now know, you can use this prayer throughout your day for 3, 5, 10 minutes here or 30, 60, 90 minutes there. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DNGLW129
