The Curious Middle
Polina & Yelena
We're two San Francisco moms who got tired of pretending the obvious isn't obvious.Top 1.5% of podcasts globally not because we play it safe. We ask the questions people are thinking but won't say out loud, on the topics that actually shape how we live: media, politics, culture, parenting, careers and what it means to defend common sense in a state that often ignores reality. We're two women who've earned our opinions through life, careers, raising kids and educating ourselves, Expect ideas that challenge what you think you know. Tales From A Cult Insider
Jared Garrett
Here is a podcast where I tell stories about growing up in a fairly well-known cult. Starting as the Process Church of the Final Judgement in the UK and morphing into the Foundation Faith of God in the US - it was controversial in many ways. It evolved over the years and now has no religion, functioning solely as Best Friends Animal Society. There's much that hasn't been told about 30+ kids that were 'raised' in this cult. Cult orphans is a fair way to describe us. These are stories of my growing up in this cult along with lessons learned and some episodes with my sister. Please support!
Family Ghosts
WALT FM
Every house is haunted. In each episode of Family Ghosts, we investigate the true story behind a mysterious figure whose legend has followed a family for generations. Grandmothers who were secretly jewel smugglers, uncles who led double lives, siblings who vanished without a trace, and other ghostly characters who cast shadows over our lives in ways that might not be immediately obvious. We are all formed in part by our familial collections of secrets, intrigues, and myths. By engaging with each others’ legends, perhaps we can see each others’ realities more clearly. Hosted by Moth Grand Slam winner Sam Dingman, whose stories have been featured on NPR, Risk!, TBTL, and The Moth Radio Hour.
