(Nota: la meditación empieza en el minuto 4 segundo 10) ¿Qué diferencia hay entre tomar conciencia y prestar atención? Aquí y ahora conviven infinitos elementos de los que nos podemos dar cuenta, por eso durante las prácticas, aunque tengamos la intención de mantener la atención en un elemento en concreto, es normal que la atención se distraiga hacia otros elementos que también están en el presente, y que en ocasiones, son incluso más estimulantes o atractivos que el elemento elegido. Una manera de facilitar el reenfocar la atención para entrenarla, es el etiquetar el lugar donde nos damos cuenta que se ha ido la atención. Si es un sonido, podemos aprovechar las palabras, el lenguaje para identificar donde está, “sonido de un pájaro, sonido de un avión, sonido de una persona hablando,...”. o si es a un pensamiento: “pensamiento de preocupación, pensamiento sobre el pasado, pensamiento de juicio sobre una persona,...”, y así con el resto de elementos que puedan estar, como pueden ser las emociones o estados anímicos, a los que también podemos etiquetar.
