La canzone è divenuta in brevissimo tempo, un vero inno del movimento pacifista americano e mondiale contro la guerra in Vietnam. A partire da quello che accadde in quel famoso letto, Saul Beretta ci accompagna in una galoppata su è giù lungo il secolo breve che di guerre devastanti ne ha attraversate tante. Dal concerto per la sola mano sinistra di Ravel dedicato al fratello di Wittgestein che nella Prima guerra mondiale aveva perso la mano destra, alla Sinfonia di Leningrado di Shostakovic passando per il Philip Glass e Allen Ginsberg di “Vichita Vortex Sutra”, il Disertore di Boris Vian e “Down by the Riverside”, per capire che la musica purtroppo non ferma la guerra ma è una di quelle cose che rende questo mondo migliore. “Stop for the and gas!”Prima emissione domenica 3 aprile 2022
