Simon Indelicate on the Art & Economics of Musicianship

In this episode, Simon Indelicate, a member of the English band The Indelicates, among other things, discusses his new albums Arcadia Park and Starfield Lounge, as well as his essay "Why Your Music is Worthless (and How to Sell it Anyway)." Indelicate begins by describing the inspiration for and process of creating Arcadia Park and Starfield Lounge. He then explains how his essay "Why Your Music is Worthless (and How to Sell it Anyway)" grew out of his experience of the music industry and observations about how it was changing. The essay explains why music is no longer scarce, and how that fundamentally changed the economics of making and selling music.
