Al meerdere keren heeft Taalcafé De Sluis in De Orkaan gestaan, toch weten veel Zaankanters niet precies wat er zich achter de deuren van De Sluis afspeelt. Dat gegeven, plus een flinke uitbreiding van de doelgroep met de komst van de asielzoekers aan de Gerrit Bolkade, maakt de tijd rijp voor een gesprek aan onze podcasttafel. We nodigden De Sluis-voorzitter Margriet de Vries (rechts op de foto) en vrijwilligerscoördinator (en zo veel meer) Truus Vegter uit. Met hen gaan we dieper in op de activiteiten van De Sluis en de uitbreiding die niet uit kon blijven. Zo wordt duidelijk dat het niet om moeilijke grammaticale lessen gaat, maar om het leren van alledaagse Nederlandse woorden en zinnen en hoe de gesprekken met het COA zijn verlopen. Daarnaast vertelt Truus waar de ideale vrijwilliger aan moet voldoen en deelt Margriet het toekomstperspectief van De Sluis.
