Tapping Relief- Heal Thy Self

from Trauma Recovery Anonymous · host richiejtierney

I understand, some person [me] coming along and telling you that you can break free of a past trauma memory, that caused you to be diagnosed or misdiagnosed,  with PTSD, C-PTSD, BIPOLAR, DEPRESSION, SCHIZOPHRENIA, ANXIETY or some other condition in a 3 hour practice, can seem far-fetched to say the least. To prove a point; that this is all about you healing the hole in your soul; by changing the energy you carry for the memory of that event and the Sympathy Pains that have ruled and defined you for so long,  I wish to challenge you to try a part of the healing event.   Grab a pen and paper. On this page, draw a line across the page At the end of the left of the line, mark this point as '-100' and on the right end of the line mark this end point '+100'. figure out the half way point between these two points and mark it '0'.  Halfway between the -100 and the 0 , mark this point  -50. Halfway between the 0 and -50, mark this point -25. Halfway between the -50 and the -100, mark this point -75. And on the + side repeat the process. Halfway between the +100 and the 0, mark this point  +50 Halfway between the +50 and the 0 , mark this point +25 Halfway between the +50 and the +100, mark this point +75. Now, think back on your trauma memory, subjectively, recalling  what it must have been like for that younger aspect of you, who suffered the actual event, what score would represent the memory for them at that time. Understand anything over -90 would imply that younger aspect of you, all that time ago, gave up and died to that trauma stress and strain. But as you are in existence today, they must have survived it. so think of a number that might represent the effect it might have had on them.  Don't think to hard about it, the first number that comes into your head, draw a line down from that spot, add a bubble to it and in the bubble write that minus score. Next think back to the first time you met with a therapist to talk about the past trauma memory, what score would you attach to that event back then. don't think about it; the first number that comes into your head, draw a line down from this point, add a bubble and inside this bubble write down that minus score. Now stepping back into the present, think about that trauma memory  and how it triggers you today or this week; draw a line down from that number and in that bubble write that minus score. You are not going to be sharing this with me or anyone else, you can burn this after if you like. We first want to get three scores to compare, literally   3 x  'befores' and 1 x  'after'.   Sit in a relaxed comfortable position Breathe three soft gentle breaths in through your nose, exhaling through your mouth Hold your hands out in  front of you, as though you are preparing to clap your hands. [I am left handed, so i lead off in this practice with my left hand, there isn't a right or wrong way, it's a personal choice} On the underside of my right hand, the 'Karate Chop' point between the base of the little finger and the start of the wrist; this is the target area. Using the four fingers of my left hand i tap 5 times on this area of my right hand When done, I switch hands and tap on my left hand 'Karate Chop' area 5 times.   Repeat the three soft gentle inbreaths through your nose, exhaling through your mouth.   Once more, reflect on your scores you wrote down a moment, especially the score for how you felt about the memory for today and ask yourself has your energy changed in less than a few minutes. We cant change any part of the event, it happened and we can't wish it away, but how it effects us; how it rules and defines us; how that energy changed, simply by tapping on your Karate Chop points of your hands. the question  you find yourself asking yourself, is How has that energy changed? How have the sympathy pains, shifted?  Can it really be this simple? Does this mean I can heal myself this easily?   Only you can do this exercise for you and only you can answer these question for you. If your own recent score was -60 , and after this practice, it feels like it is now -59.99999, then know there has been a positive shift in  the energy around the baggage of your younger self, you have been carrying for far too long; and this might mean you are ready to break free of it once and for all. For some people, the shift in this energy score can seem crazy, unbelievable, but this is the best way to see the results. The shift in your energy is your soul, your mind, your heart and your whole body, it is time to do this. I am not here to fix or save you, but like this practice that only took a minute or two to complete, the total healing event takes no more than 2 hours. I am here to lead you through this event. It will be you who will be healing you, I am here to show you how. This is where Trauma Recovery Anonymous comes to the rescue.
