The Difference Between Consistent and Perfect Habits

There is a difference between creating consistency in regard to your habits, routines, or rituals versus being attached to having perfect habits, routines, and rituals that are unsustainable. (Based on Christie Inge’s blog post: “The Energy of Human Design Gate 5”.) Christie Inge/Gate 5 Habits, routines, and rituals must be based on these three things: Intentions: the direction you’re headed and/or your ideal Needs: what you require to keep moving in the direction you want to head Values: what matters the most to you I invite you to consider these questions: When do you notice trying to be “perfect” with your habits, routines, and rituals? Which of your habits, routines, and rituals are easefully consistent? What are your deepest intentions in your life? What habits are preventing you from living those intentions? What habits would support your intentions?
