Four college friends graduate with high hopes, bright futures, and excitement for what the world has in store for them. As things often happen, they lose touch until Valedictorian, Cynthia (Stockard Channing) chooses to end her life, reuniting her friends Annie (Diane Keaton), Brenda (Bette Midler) and Elise (Goldie Hawn) at her funeral.
