The Light at The End of The Tunnel

from Trauma Recovery Anonymous · host richiejtierney

There is a concept of the light at the end of the tunnel being one of Doom & Gloom. On Trauma  Recovery Anonymous, i ask my audience to imagine they are at one end of the tunnel in place of the oncoming train of Doom and Gloom; rather you are waving a blazing torch of Hope back down the tunnel, at your younger self. You can see from the Sympathy Pains you have carried for far too long, the depths of despair and doubt before that younger version of you; on their journey to a complete healing. You are waving that torch to let them know you are so close to achieving a permanent state of closure with them. You are ready to give back to them all the details and baggage of their trauma; that was never yours to suffer in the first place. The realization of this truly awakens in you, the desire to put them out of their misery and enable them to cross over into the light. By your very actions of giving the past back to the rightful owner, you are empowering that version of you to vacate this plane of existence; at the same time enabling you to return to the land of the living in the present. Only you can achieve this for them Remember they defeated this already You wouldn't be alive and in existence had they succumbed to this but they survived it and sacrificed so much for you to be free today, it's time to let them go. Please God you are one of the 390 million people that were misdiagnosed with a mental disorder, and in this moment you understand all your best efforts and all the best efforts of mental health p[professionals failed you. You literally have nowhere else to turn to, and this truth that you can free your younger self, compels you to take the necessary action.
