The Water for Life campaign from Cross Catholic Outreach

from Epiphany · host Vanessa Denha Garmo

The United Nations estimates that 2 billion people worldwide lack reliable access to safe, clean water. This creates heartbreaking challenges for women and children in remote communities, who must often walk miles just to reach muddy rivers or shallow, contaminated wells. Obtaining a simple glass of water — something we in the U.S. often take for granted — has become a daily hardship that leaves families exhausted and plagued by waterborne diseases. Your support will empower partners worldwide, such as the Diocese of Karonga in Malawi and the Diocese of Chipata in Zambia, to provide clean wells and water systems for communities in urgent need. Please help us quench thirst, restore health and lift this heavy burden from those who currently suffer because they lack one of life’s most basic essentials: clean water.Michele Sagarino is the President of Cross Catholic Outreach. She has nearly three decades of experience in nonprofit leadership. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Michele answered the call on her life to begin service for various charitable organizations, including Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Gateway Community Outreach and Food For The Poor. She joined Cross Catholic Outreach in 2004, and she served as vice president for development for 15 years. Through the years, Michele has been an important leader in the organization. Her expertise and heart for service will continue to lead Cross Catholic Outreach forward with wisdom and integrity, allowing the organization and their donors to impact even more lives.
