Too Classy for Your Old Life, Not Classy Enough for the New One

Let's discuss the social anxiety of levelling up. The specific discomfort of moving between social worlds, feeling like you don't quite belong in either. This is something that I experienced a lot when I moved into a different social circle over the past year and a half, and also again now as I move toward a new career direction. Everyone talks about levelling up your life, but no one talks about that in-between period, that limbo feeling, where you don't fit in to your new life yet, but you've outgrown your old one and don't belong there either.
