Un millón 300 muertos en accidentes de carretera cada año

El Fondo Visión Cero de la Organización Internacional del Trabajo y la empresa de ropa deportiva Nike lanzaron una iniciativa para reducir las muertes y lesiones en carreteras entre los trabajadores de la confección y el calzado. Tratan de entender por qué los trabajadores de la confección y el calzado son vulnerables a las lesiones y muertes derivadas de los accidentes de transito. Cada año mueren 1,3 millones de personas en las carreteras de todo el mundo y hasta 50 millones resultan heridas. Los trabajadores más implicados en accidentes en varios lugares del mundo pertenecen al sector del calzado y al de la confección.
