Vibes Week 40 || "In Your Hands" by Halle Bailey

When Chloe’s song “Have Mercy” dropped, I, together with millions of people, was left speechless. The vocals, the beats, and the cinematography that went into the official music video were nothing short of flawless. I legit had that song on repeat for months on end, to the point where I got tired of listening to it. By that time, I had memorized the lyrics, word for word. It sent me into stalker mode; I researched their background and their journey into both the music and film industries. They both deserve every accolade. Chloe went on to release even more masterpieces, all phenomenal. And then Halle released the viral song “Angel.” The first time I listened to that piece, I was stunned. Clearly she invested a whole lot into it emotionally. And there I was thinking Chloe was individually great, and Halle was an expert. The vocal range was insane. Man, that song spoke to my soul, in a language I had never heard before yet understood perfectly. That song made me fall even deeper in love with those sisters. They both possess amazing singing talents. I’m pretty sure they worked to get to where they are now vocally because they started singing at a very young age. Anyways, this is all to say that I am a huge fan of the Bailey sisters; I’ve sung some of their songs in the past and hope to do more. My presentation today is a tribute to them, Halle especially.
