Waiting for Inspiration and Calling It a Block

The last few days had been hard and I wanted to talk about it while I was still in it. There is a whiteboard behind me with everything I have created in two and a half years written on it, and there is a lot. Every one of them started with a clear idea and real momentum, and somewhere along the line the momentum went and I either pushed through or wandered off to the next thing. So this time I went looking for the fear. I went looking for the shadow, the inner child, the buried thing that was stopping me. There was nothing there. What I found instead was that I was waiting for the hit. I had decided I could only move forward on the high, and when the high was not there I went looking for something wrong with me. All I actually had to do was keep going. I also talk about painting my way through it, and about building a loose strategy of my own with backups in it for the days you already know are coming. These episodes come from my archive. Years of lives, courses and conversations that were sitting on a channel doing nothing, so I am bringing them back one at a time. Some of it I would say differently now, and that is fine, it is all part of how I got here.
