Why You Can't Run From Your Brokenness | Immortal Legend Batman Devotional

Over the last six months, I've been reading an Elseworlds Batman story where Bruce accidentally creates six shadow monsters out of his own brokenness. But it turned into a huge lesson about facing the things we run from.In this episode, we're talking about issue six of Immortal Legends Batman. Bruce Wayne tries to distance himself from his personal weakness, but it backfires, creating literal shadow monsters that tarnish his name. We connect this to the biblical story of Jacob wrestling with God, learning that we can't do this alone, and we often have to be humbled before we can truly heal💙 THANK YOU TO OUR PATRONSWe are so thankful to our Devoted Patreon Geeks who help make this ministry possible:Ruiz Family, Adam Arciniega, Branson Boykin, Nerd Chapel, Jacob Russell, Jeffrey Leon, Jonathan Herrman, Kevin Lovelace, Lady Lomax, Paul Turner, Paul J Powers, Savie Wilson, The Cel Cast, Monster Island Film Vault — and so many more.Thank you for your continued support!Become a Devoted Patreon Geek: 👉 https://www.patreon.com/GeekDevotionsDiscover other ways to support: https://geekdevotions.com/support/📒 Show Notes and Resources 📒⚡️ (Podcast) Listen to our extended chats on Comm Talk: https://geekdevotions.podbean.com/=============================📱 Connect with Geek Devotions:Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/GeekDevotionsInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/GeekDevotionsFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/GeekDevotionsTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@geekdevotions =============================Here are the ways to support us: ⚡️ PATREON: Become a monthly supporter: https://www.patreon.com/GeekDevotions⚡️ DONATE: Give a one-time gift via PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/GeekDevotions⚡️ WISHLIST: Check out our Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1OA5D71138PDO?ref_=wl_shareTimestamps:00:00 - Immortal Legend Batman 01:41 - Welcome to Geek Devotions02:22 - The Danger of Escaping Your Issues03:20 - Lessons from Jacob: Wrestling with God04:50 - Returning to the Source for Help06:29 - Growth and Passing the Mantle07:39 - Your Favorite Elseworlds Story? 08:35 - GeekCon Shreveport & Support Us
