He remembers when the rubbish tip became full and digging a new one took priority over all other tasks. Wolf was also part of the A shift Social Club which specialised in sending flowers and fruit to the wives of his colleagues, if they ended up in hospital. He was a relieving foreman, so worked across all shifts.
