Mary, Queen of Heaven.. and It’s Actually Biblical?
If you’ve ever wondered why Catholics dedicate the entire month of May to Mary or why the Church calls her Queen.. this video walks through the actual biblical and theological foundation behind it.We go through the structure of the Davidic kingdom and the role of the queen mother, how Jesus fulfills the New Adam, why Mary is understood as the New Eve, and how her queenship flows directly from her divine motherhood. This isn’t something the Church added later, it’s rooted in Scripture and carried through the earliest Christian teaching.I also break down common objections around Marian devotion, including questions about intercession, idolatry and why Catholics ask for Mary’s prayers at all.If you’ve never heard this explained clearly this will give you the full framework.

The Sin Padre Pio Said Is More Dangerous Than Lust or Greed
a respected doctor walked into confession expecting absolution.. and Padre Pio refused him. not once, not twice, but three times.this wasn’t a man living in obvious sin. he was generous, faithful, disciplined.. everything most people would call a “good Catholic.” so what did Padre Pio see that no one else could?in this video, we break down the one sin Padre Pio warned about repeatedly, a sin that looks like devotion. something that can quietly grow in the lives of people who pray, serve and take their faith seriously.

The 15 Promises of the Rosary Explained
Most of us have heard of the 15 promises of the Rosary, but these promises aren’t superstition and they aren’t guarantees of an easy life.. people think they are a “pray this, get that” formula.. but they're not. They come from private revelation traditionally associated with St. Dominic and Blessed Alan de la Roche, and while they are not dogma, they reflect something real about what happens to a soul that faithfully prays the rosary. The full 15 promises are:1. Those who faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell. It will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.4. The recitation of the Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish. It will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God. It will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.6. Those who recite my Rosary devoutly, applying themselves to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. In His justice, God will not chastise them; nor shall they perish by an unprovided death, i.e., be unprepared for heaven. Sinners shall convert. The just shall persevere in grace and become worthy of eternal life.7. Those who have a true devotion to the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.8. Those who faithfully recite the Rosary shall have, during their life and at their death, the light of God and the plenitude of His graces. At the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven. 11. By the recitation of the Rosary you shall obtain all that you ask of me.12. Those who propagate the holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of their death.14. All who recite the Rosary are my beloved children and the brothers and sisters of my only Son, Jesus Christ.15. Devotion for my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

The 6 Habits That Actually Repel Demons
Most people think spiritual warfare is about extreme situations, but it usually shows up in ordinary life first. Father Steven Frederick Schmieder explains how demons are drawn to disorder, and how small habits in your daily life can either invite that in or push it out. This video walks through 6 simple ways to bring order back into your life, your home and your routine and why that matters for your spiritual life. This isn’t complicated but it’s not easy either. Stop Going to Confession Like This. (St. Catherine of Siena Explains Why)
Book mentioned: https://amzn.to/41PuVECMost of us Catholics go to confession the same way every time and never stop to ask why nothing is actually changing. In this video, we walk through what Catherine of Siena teaches about how to prepare for confession in a way that actually leads to real contrition, not just saying your sins and moving on.This isn’t about whether confession “works” because the sacrament always works.. but the way you approach it shapes how deeply it changes you.If you’ve ever felt stuck, like you’re repeating the same cycle over and over, this is probably the part no one ever explained to you. This teaching comes from The Dialogue of St. Catherine of Siena, and it lines up directly with what the Church has always taught about repentance, contrition, and the interior life.

Demons Know Who St. Michael Is. Do You?
Most people know St. Michael as the angel with the sword, the one we pray to for protection, but very few actually understand who he is according to Scripture, the Church and even exorcists. In this video, I break down:Where St. Michael appears in the Bible (Daniel, Jude, Revelation)What his role actually is in the order God establishedHow the Church invokes him in exorcisms and why that mattersWhat exorcists like Gabriele Amorth have said about how demons react to himWhy his name “Who is like God?” directly confronts Satan’s fallHis role at the hour of death and in the defense of soulsWhat Fr. Chad Ripperger means when he calls St. Michael the “guardian of the elect”This is part of the spiritual reality the Church has always taught.. and the real question is whether you’re actually calling on the help God has already given you.

St. Faustina Reveals 3 Regrets of Souls in Purgatory
In her visions, St. Faustina Kowalska recorded what souls actually experience after death, and what they wish they had done differently while they were still alive. If you’ve been putting off confession, ignoring prayer, or assuming you have more time, this is your reminder that eternity is not theoretical.📖 Based on the writings of St. Faustina (Diary of Divine Mercy)#catholic #purgatory #divinemercy #stfaustina #catholictiktok #christianity #afterlife #faith

Death And Judgement According To Fr. Chad Ripperger
There is a dangerous assumption a lot of us are living with right now: that at the end of our life, we'll have time to repent, go to confession and make things right with God.. but that is not what the Church teaches. In this video, I break down key points from a sermon by Fr. Chad Ripperger on death and the particular judgment and why this mindset is spiritually dangerous.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdJFOjFuHkk

This Sunday You Can Be Completely Forgiven (Here’s How)
This Sunday is not just another Sunday in the Catholic Church. It is Divine Mercy Sunday, and it carries a promise that is almost unheard of: complete forgiveness of sins and all temporal punishment. That means your soul can be restored to the state it was in at Baptism. In this video, I break down exactly what Divine Mercy Sunday is, where it comes from, what Jesus revealed to Saint Faustina Kowalska and how you can actually receive this grace.Diary of Saint Faustina:https://amzn.to/3Qd55aXFather Simon:https://www.instagram.com/father_simon/

I Responded to a Viral Protestant Video.. Here’s What He Got Wrong
This video is a direct response to a viral Protestant critique of the Catholic Church, breaking down three of the most common claims people make about Catholicism and addressing them with actual teaching, Scripture and context.I’m not interested in strawman arguments or surface level takes. What I am interested in is truth, because if you have access to the internet, to Scripture and to 2,000 years of Church teaching, then misrepresenting what the Catholic Church actually believes isn't just careless, it’s bearing false witness.

Christian Podcasts Need to Stop Doing This.
People are calling something the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ that is not the Eucharist. In this video, I respond to clips of *huge* christian podcast platforms taking “communion” at home, ordering it online and explain why this is not just a misunderstanding, it’s a redefinition of something Christ clearly established. Calling something that is not Christ, Christ, is dangerous and irreverent. Please watch the following videos if you struggle with understanding and believing in the True Presence:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHO8L9477aUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMflKQETa2ohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyHqv0Dubzchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93cqR-nwI8shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aastv2BNIKU

Why We Avoid the Cross (And What It’s Doing to Us)
Most of us don’t reject the Cross but we avoid it.. in quieter ways. We soften it. We move past it too quickly. We focus on what feels comfortable and skip what confronts us.But the Cross forces us to face what sin actually costs, what truth requires and what real love looks like and if we stay long enough, it starts to change us.

What Palm Sunday Actually Means (And Why the Crowd Was Wrong)
Palm Sunday is often treated like a celebration, but when you actually look at what’s happening in the Gospels, the moment is far more complex. The crowd recognizes Jesus as king, but they misunderstand what kind of king He is. They shout “Hosanna,” lay down palm branches, and publicly welcome Him into Jerusalem, yet within days, everything shifts. The question it leaves behind isn’t whether you would have been in the crowd. It’s whether your understanding of Jesus depends on what you expect Him to do.

why "Christian" content feels off
There’s a phrase that keeps showing up everywhere lately: “Christian lifestyle.” and the more I hear it, the more I realize.. something about it is off because Christianity was never meant to be something you fit into your life. It was meant to take it over.

not every friendship is meant to stay
If you’ve ever felt like certain friendships leave you more distracted, more negative or just.. not closer to who you’re trying to become, this matters. Our society talks a lot about “boundaries” and “protecting your peace,” but rarely about the deeper question: are your friendships actually helping you grow in virtue.. or slowly pulling you into compromise? This is about being honest with the kind of influence your circle has on you and recognizing that relationships are never neutral, not about cutting people off or thinking you’re better than anyone. The people closest to you will either sharpen you or slowly shape you into something you never intended to become and if you’re serious about your faith, your life and the person you’re trying to be.. that’s not something you can afford to ignore.

passiontide | the week the Church gets quiet
Most Catholics have experienced Passiontide, but don’t actually know what it is. This is the final part of Lent leading into Holy Week, where the Church shifts its focus completely onto the Passion of Christ: His suffering, His sacrifice and the reality of the Cross. If you’ve noticed crosses and statues being covered, or the tone of Mass feeling more serious and focused, it’s the Church is intentionally preparing you for Good Friday in a deeper way.

do you love God? or how God makes you feel?
Many people assume that when they surrender to God, peace and clarity will immediately follow. But often the opposite happens.. prayer feels quiet, Scripture feels flat and God feels silent. So what does that actually mean?In this episode we talk about spiritual dryness, why God sometimes removes emotional consolation and the deeper question silence exposes in our faith: Do we love God.. or do we love how God makes us feel?Looking at the Cross, Christ’s cry of desolation in Matthew 27:46 and the quiet fidelity of Mary at the foot of the Cross, we explore why silence is not abandonment but often part of spiritual maturity. If your prayer life feels quiet right now, this conversation is for you. This episode is part of the Lenten series: 40 Days at the Foot of the Cross, where we walk step-by-step through the interior journey of Lent.Subscribe for the rest of the series.Support the podcast and join the community:patreon.com/anamunley

feminism vs christianity: can they coexist?
Feminism is one of the most influential movements in modern culture, but very few people stop to ask an important question: does it actually align with Christian teaching? In this episode we unpack the roots of feminism, how it shaped modern views on marriage, authority and gender.. and why many of its core ideas conflict with the historic teachings of the Catholic Church. We also talk about why concepts like patriarchy, submission in marriage and masculine leadership are so controversial today and what the Church actually teaches about men, women and the family. what actually has to die to follow jesus?
What actually dies when you decide to follow Jesus? In this episode of 40 Days at the Foot of the Cross, we reflect on a truth that many Christians don’t expect: discipleship always costs something. When Christ calls us to follow Him, He’s not just asking for belief. He’s asking for surrender. And that surrender often means letting parts of our old life die.In this Lenten reflection, we talk about the hidden sacrifices that come with walking closely with Christ. The comfort we cling to. The habits we excuse. The identities we build around ourselves. Jesus never promised an easier life, but He did promise a transformed one.💌 Contact me: [email protected]⚡ Powered by Truthly 👉 Download the app: bit.ly/anaXtruthlyGet a free 30 day trial with code AFTERMASS#Catholic #CatholicPodcast #AfterMass #CatholicFaith #CatholicChurch #ReversionStory #ComingHome #AnaMunley #TruthlyAI

don't skip the cross
Lent has begun, and Episode 1 of 40 Days at the Foot of the Cross starts with the foundation of Christianity: you don’t get to follow Jesus and skip the Cross. In this reflection, we break down what Jesus actually means when He says, “deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24). The Cross is not inconvenience. It’s death to self. It’s surrender. It’s allowing God to reorder your loves. We also look at Peter’s resistance to suffering (Mark 8:31–33), why so much of our struggle in Lent is really about control, and what redemptive suffering actually means in Catholic theology. If Lent feels uncomfortable this year, that’s not failure. The Cross exposes before it purifies. If you want deeper discussions, extended Q&A, and exclusive After Mass content, join our Patreon community here:

how to do lent well as a catholic
Are you actually doing Lent well.. or just checking a box?In this episode, we talk about how to approach Lent the way the Church intends, not the way we've usually approached it, which has historically been as a self improvement challenge or a diet plan.. not as 40 days of random sacrifices, either. But as a season of repentance, discipline, surrender and real interior conversion.Lent is not about proving something to God. It’s about putting God back in His rightful place and allowing Him to transform you from the inside out.Let’s stop wasting Lent.💌 Contact me: [email protected]⚡ Powered by Truthly 👉 Download the app:bit.ly/anaXtruthlyGet a free 30 day trial with code AFTERMASS#Catholic #CatholicPodcast #AfterMass #CatholicFaith #CatholicChurch #ReversionStory #ComingHome #AnaMunley #TruthlyAI

James Van Der Beek's passing.. everyone needs to hear this.
In this video, I’m reacting to a message shared by James Van Der Beek about identity, fatherhood, purpose and what it means to be worthy of love. There is so much beauty in what he says about being a husband, father and steward, and I want to unpack why that resonates so deeply. But I also want to gently address the part where he suggests removing the word “God” if it feels too scary or triggering. As a Catholic, I believe the longing he describes ultimately points somewhere deeper. This is a reflection on identity, love, God and what happens when we try to redefine worth apart from Him.

Make Christmas Holy Again | The Journey to Bethlehem | Part Three: Joseph
In Episode 3 of our Advent series, Make Christmas Holy Again: The Journey to Bethlehem, we turn to Joseph’s yes, one of the most overlooked yet essential acts of obedience in the Christmas story.Joseph does not speak a single recorded word in Scripture, yet God entrusts him with extraordinary responsibility. He is chosen to protect Mary, safeguard Jesus, and legally place Christ within the house of David. This episode explores why Joseph’s obedience is not secondary or optional but foundational to how the Incarnation unfolds in real history. This episode is an invitation to reconsider what spiritual leadership looks like, how we respond when our plans are disrupted and how Advent prepares us not just to celebrate Christ’s birth, but to receive Him in the midst of real life.💌 Contact me: [email protected]⚡ Powered by Truthly 👉 Download the app: bit.ly/anaXtruthlyGet a free 30 day trial with code AFTERMASS#Catholic #CatholicPodcast #AfterMass #CatholicFaith #CatholicChurch #Advent #MarysFiat #AnaMunley #TruthlyAI

Watch the powerful Eucharist video on Truthly that I referenced in this episode, here’s the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHO8L9477aU&t=1sToday we are ending the “Why I Came Home” series with the heart of everything. The Eucharist. The Real Presence of Jesus. The one truth that changed my life from the inside out.In this episode, I walk through the biblical, historical and scientific evidence for the Eucharist. We talk about apostolic succession and why only the Catholic and Orthodox Churches have the authority Christ handed to the Apostles. We look at the Bread of Life discourse, the early Church Fathers and the unbroken witness that the Eucharist is truly the Body and Blood of Christ. We also get into Eucharistic miracles from around the world. Different countries, different centuries, the same results every time. AB positive blood. Real human heart tissue. Cells that show signs of agony. Miracles that modern science cannot explain. If you have ever doubted the Real Presence, these cases will shake you. This episode is fact driven, grounded in scripture, and filled with the evidence that led me home. Catholic Moral Consistency | Why I Came Home to the Catholic Church | Part Six
Catholic Moral ConsistencyThe Catholic Church has held the same moral teachings from the first century to today. Not because she is stubborn but because her truths are rooted in divine revelation, natural law and the unchanging reality of the human person. This episode explores why the Church’s moral framework has not drifted, why early Christian teaching looked nothing like the culture of Rome, how natural law actually works and why modern moral confusion reveals a deeper crisis of identity and purpose. We will look at the data on marriage, sexuality, gender, mental health and cultural fragmentation.. and we will see why so many people are returning to the Church right now. Not for nostalgia. For clarity. If you have ever felt exhausted by constant reinvention or unsure where to root your life, my story might resonate with you. This was one of the most decisive reasons I came home. I needed a place where truth did not shift every decade and where human dignity was not optional. The ACTUAL Catholic View of Salvation | Why I Came Home to the Catholic Church | Part Four
Salvation Isn’t a One-Time Event.. It’s a Lifelong Surrender.I used to think salvation was simple: say a prayer, invite Jesus into your heart and you’re saved. No Church. No sacraments. No confession. Just faith. But the more I read Scripture, the more I realized.. salvation isn’t a checkbox. It’s a covenant. In this episode of AfterMass, we dive into what salvation really means from a Catholic perspective.. not as a one-and-done moment, but as a daily decision to live in grace. We’ll unpack what Scripture says about faith and works, how the sacraments actually apply the saving power of Christ and why “once saved, always saved” falls short of the Gospel. If you’ve ever wondered why Catholics talk about salvation as a journey, or if you’ve wrestled with the tension between grace and obedience, this episode is for you.💌 Contact me: [email protected]⚡ Powered by Truthly👉 Download the app: bit.ly/anaXtruthly(get a free 30-day trial with code AFTERMASS)#Catholic #CatholicPodcast #AfterMass #CatholicFaith #CatholicChurch #ConversionStory #TruthlyAI #AnaMunley #WhyICameHome

They just don’t understand how honoring Mary magnifies Him instead of replacing Him.In this episode, I walk through the biblical, historical, and spiritual reasons why devotion to Mary isn’t optional or extra, it’s essential. We’ll look at her role as the New Eve, the Ark of the Covenant, and how her “yes” continues to echo through the life of every believer who chooses surrender over pride. If you’ve ever wrestled with why Catholics honor Mary, this is the episode that finally makes it make sense.💌 Contact me: [email protected]⚡ Powered by Truthly👉 Download the app: bit.ly/anaXtruthly (get a free 30-day trial with code AFTERMASS)#Catholic #CatholicPodcast #AfterMass #CatholicFaith #CatholicChurch #ConversionStory #TruthlyAI #AnaMunley #WhyICameHome
