Eleanor Youngman: Culverden Golf Club's Secretary on her time with the club, receiving the Administrator of the Year award
The efforts of an outstanding volunteer have been recognised. Eleanor Youngman has been Culverden Golf Club's Secretary for 31 years, as well as helping look after catering, gardens, cleaning, and anything else that needs sorting. Mike Godinet: Golf Management+Marketing Director on Pegasus Golf Course being bought by housing developers
Golfers in Canterbury are set to lose a key location, with the Pegasus golf course, north of Christchurch, expected to be mowed over. Townhouse Developer Wolfbrook Property has purchased the town's 18-hole golf course, with plans to carve it up for housing. The company says the course will be temporarily open, free of charge. Golf Management+Marketing Director Mike Godinet told Lesley Murdoch frustration should be aimed at the previous owners who mismanaged the property, not Wolfbrook.
