In Luke 16:1–17:10, Jesus teaches that money should be used wisely for eternal purposes, not selfish gain. The parables urge generosity, warn against greed, and highlight the consequences of ignoring others in need. He then calls His followers to avoid causing sin, forgive repeatedly, have faith, and serve with humility—emphasizing that true discipleship is marked by wise stewardship and humble obedience.=============================Scripture=============================📖 Luke 16:1–17:10=============================Bible Study Podcast: Channel Credits=============================🎙️ HOSTS:: Kristy Allen, Micah Harrison, Matt Winter🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Controversies, Corrections and Calls to Trust
Jesus shows his authority over Satan and engages in conflict about the power of God with the Pharisees. Jesus calls out the Pharisees by reminding them of the wicked generation in the wilderness. This whole passage is undergirded by the Exodus and wilderness narratives in Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. We cover demonology, how we deal with evil spirits, and we even got a surprise visit from Craig! The clear application of this passage is that what matters is what/who resides inside of you. Are you a representative of Jesus and his power, or are you displaying something outwardly that is not true of you on the inside. =============================Scripture=============================📖 Luke 11:14-54=============================Bible Study Podcast: Channel Credits=============================🎙️ HOSTS:: Kristy Allen, Micah Harrison, Matt Winter🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

The Blessing of Decision: Privilege, Mission + Commitment
"Jesus sets his face toward Jerusalem." This is the beginning of the Travel Narrative of Luke. Jesus is set against the backdrop of Elijah's prophetic ministry. Micah and Matt argue about how well John the Baptist understood the nature of Jesus' ministry. Watch James and John - the "Sons of Thunder" - get rebuked by Jesus for their violent reaction. And join the 72 disciples as they begin to shoulder the ministry of the gospel. Listen as Kristy quotes a commentary and sets the room on fire. =============================Scripture=============================📖 Luke 9:51-10:24=============================Bible Study Podcast: Channel Credits=============================🎙️ HOSTS:: Kristy Allen, Micah Harrison, Matt Winter🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved

Introducing the Travel Narrative of Luke
Welcome back to the Mission Hills Bible Study Podcast! For our 11th season we are studying the "Travel Narrative" of Luke. That's Luke 9:51-19:44. It's such a cool, contained section that is unique to Luke. In Luke 9:51, Jesus "sets his face toward Jerusalem," and for the next 10 chapters, he travels toward the cross, under the shadow of his looming crucifixion. We talk though the structure of Luke-Acts: a geographical chiasm. Some big themes of Luke are the dichotomy of feasts, the danger of money, the upside down kingdom and great reversal, Jesus as savior/salvation, and caring for the outcasts and marginalized of society. Interesting things to pay attention to in Luke 1:1-9:50, include John the Baptist introducing Jesus's ministry, the Song of Mary, and Jesus' divine revelation by Peter and the Transfiguration.=============================Scripture=============================📖 Luke 1-9:50=============================Bible Study Podcast: Channel Credits=============================🎙️ HOSTS:: Kristy Allen, Micah Harrison, Matt Winter🎛️ PRODUCTION + MIXING:: Lepard Productions🎨 CREATIVE DIRECTOR:: Colin McFarland A Product of Lepard Productions + The Mission Hills Podcast Network in Littleton, CO.© Mission Hills Church - All Rights Reserved
