Birthday Reflections - What I Learned This Year

In this episode I bounce around a handful of lessons that have really landed for me this year - honestly, each one could’ve been its own episodeI get into what it actually means (and how hard it can be) to stay present, the kind of stamina it takes to move through heavy seasons, and why giving yourself permission to dream and visualize still matters - maybe now more than ever. I also touch on my relationship with God, how that’s been showing up for me lately, and finish with some real talk about my wife and how much she anchors me. I couldn't imagine life without her. It’s a bit of a mix, a bit of a ramble, but it’s honest.Have a listen—and if something lands, I’d love to hear what that is for you.@ikescoaching

    Identity: What Stays, What Sheds

What a wild ride the last few weeks have been. Everyone’s been talking about the close of the Lunar Year of the Snake — a year centered around shedding, releasing, and letting go of what no longer serves you.And if you’re anything like me — someone actually doing the work — it hasn’t been light. It’s been challenging. Intense. Especially right up until the end. The last couple of weeks have felt crazy to witness in my own life. This episode is about identity.Who is Jeff? What does it actually mean to be Jeff? And what parts of me are coming forward into this new Lunar year — the Year of the Fire Horse? This is a conversation about perspective shifts, self-inquiry, and choosing what you carry forward. If identity has been evolving for you too, I think this one is going to land.Enjoy.@ikescoaching

The Yo-Yo Effect: Ebbs, Flows, and Fatigue

Lately, life feels less like a spiral and more like a yo-yo — steady on the surface, heavy underneath. In this episode, I speak openly about the fatigue that comes from five years of sustained pressure, change, and grinding forward while the world keeps reshaping itself.I explore the daily and weekly ebbs and flows, the way each day can feel like its own retreat — an incubator for growth, compression, and quiet recalibration. This is a melting pot of reflections that move through tiredness, perspective, meaning, and trust, eventually tying together in a way that feels honest and complete. If you’ve been functioning well but feeling worn down — not falling apart, just carrying a lot — this one may resonate.@ikescoaching

Mikayla Murphy - From the Ground Up: Holistic Living & Doing the Work

I’ve been waiting for this one.Mikayla is a bright light in a noisy world. Her passion is health and wellness in the truest sense — nutrition, movement, mental and spiritual health — all approached with grounded common sense and a holistic lens. After her intro, we explore the noise surrounding “optimal living,” the distractions we all face, and the importance of simply showing up — even when 100% isn’t available. We briefly touch on the nervous system before moving into a more vulnerable conversation around Botox, fillers, and the deeper layers beneath those choices. With Mikayla currently navigating the dating scene, we also talk honestly about what dating looks like in 2025.As always, we wrap things up with a little golf chat before saying goodbye — and already looking forward to our next conversation. If you’re craving a grounded, harmonious perspective on living a balanced life, this one’s for you.Instagram: @groundworkwithmikaylaWebsite: www.groundworknutrition.ca@ikescoaching

The CRA Called and Old Wounds Answered

In this episode, I share a real-time trigger that caught me off guard.I got a call from the CRA about a small amount of HST owed by Ikes Turf. On paper, it was nothing. But the language the woman used—words like comply, monitoring, legal action—lit something up in me fast. Before I knew it, all the plandemic-era government overreach, control, and fear from the last five years came rushing back.I walk through what was happening in my body, what stories got activated, and how I took ownership of my emotional state so I could move through the call without giving more of my power away. This episode is a reflection on freedom, self-regulation, and why triggers aren’t the problem—they’re the invitation.Because triggers are gifts. They reveal where we’re not free. And if we have the courage to look in the mirror, take responsibility for what’s being stirred, and witness what wants to be seen, those triggers can become blessings and lessons we didn’t even know we needed.@ikescoaching

Man… Life Feels Heavy! Here’s What I’m Feeling, Learning and Remembering

This episode came through like a transmission. Lately the energy has felt heavy — the darkness, the lows, the emotional weight that seems to settle in without warning. Instead of resisting it, I’ve been learning to meet it, sit with it, and let it reshape me. In this conversation I explore the spiritual side of perseverance: the tools that keep me grounded, the lessons that only darkness can teach, and the quiet ways the soul expands when life feels the heaviest. This is an honest reflection on being human, being tested, and still choosing to rise.@ikescoaching

Ariana Novak - Being With It All: Relationships, Emotions, and Evolution

In this first-ever guest episode of Bogeys & Breakthroughs, I sit down with my friend Ariana — and we don’t waste any time. We dive straight into what it means to truly grow inside our relationships. Not just the romantic kind, but the broader definition of relationship itself: evolving, healing, supporting each other, and learning how to walk through both the good and the hard moments… together. From there, the conversation naturally opens into the realm of feelings — what it means to actually be with your emotions rather than run from them. How do we hold space for every part of ourselves? How do we make room for the full spectrum — the light, the heavy, the messy, the beautiful? These two themes — relationships and emotional presence — begin as separate threads and slowly braid themselves together. Because so much of what we feel comes from our relationships. And so the question becomes: How do we grow, feel, and stay with it all without losing ourselves? And, of course, Ari ends the episode in classic Ari fashion… asking the kind of powerful, grounded questions that leave you thinking long after the conversation ends. This one is honest, vulnerable, and full of heart. A perfect way to kick off guest episodes on Bogeys & Breakthroughs.@ikescoaching

Fatherhood - When The Hard Work Pays Off

Tonight reminded me what the real payoff looks like. Sometimes I catch myself slipping into that familiar need for validation — the pat on the back, the appreciation, the praise. Then my sixteen-year-old daughter asked me to lay with her while she worked through some thoughts before falling asleep. That moment was the proof. All the presence, all the love, all the tough conversations, all my apologies when I knew I was wrong… it’s paying off in ways no one else sees. I've built trust. In this episode I talk about letting go of the need for applause, behaving more like the sun, and recognizing that moments like this are the true return on investment.@ikescoaching

Raising Athletes & What Their Sports Are Teaching Me

10 p.m. on a Sunday night and I’m driving down the 400 to pick up Ella. She was at a volleyball tournament and catching a ride home with another family. I used the drive to reflect on what I’ve learned so far as a parent of two competitive athletes — where I’ve stumbled, where I’ve grown, and what their journeys are teaching me.Being a sports parent is hard. Really hard. But if we’re willing to look inward, it becomes a phenomenal mirror. It shows us the places where we’re still gripping, still afraid, still trying to control outcomes that were never ours to control. Our instinct is to keep our kids safe, but their growth often comes through discomfort. And sports are one of the clearest arenas where we truly have zero control — especially from the sidelines.Just like we want our athletes to improve, we as parents have to improve, too. How we cheer. How we support them. How we show up in the car rides home. And how we manage our own expectations, emotions, and projections along the way.@ikescoaching

    Welcome to Bogeys & Breakthroughs

Welcome to Bogeys & Breakthroughs. My name is Jeffrey Alan Eichenberger — husband, father, lifelong golfer, former competitive player, superintendent, landscape builder, and co-owner of an indoor golf facility. Golf has been woven into every chapter of my life, and it’s shaped me far beyond the scorecard.Over the years, the game has taught me presence, patience, accountability, creativity, and humility. It’s been my mirror — showing me who I am on the course and who I’m becoming off of it.Today, I’m stepping into a new chapter: coaching, personal development, and the Golf & Growth experience. Helping people reconnect with themselves, trust their intuition, find peace, and learn to navigate life with more awareness and confidence… the same way we learn to navigate a golf course. This podcast is going to be different. No scripts, no fancy editing, no polished studio setup. Mostly voice notes. Real moments. Internal conversations. Insights while I’m driving, walking, or right in the middle of life. Some episodes will be short. Some will go deeper. All of them will be honest. If something in here helps you shift your perspective, feel less alone, or inspires you to take a mulligan and try again — then it’s working. Thanks for being here.Let’s tee this thing up!@ikescoaching
