    Bonus: Money Affirmations

If you're struggling to make money or you've got a scarcity mindset that is making you feel hopeless about your financial future (Example: "there's not enough", "I can't earn enough", "I'll never earn enough", etc.), or you just want to give yourself a leg up when it comes to improving your financial situation, affirmations can help! Affirmations are an empowering way to reprogram the brain and get the neuropathways in a groove that is more in alignment with what you want, rather than what you may be telling yourself with negative thought loops.  It can take 21 days to build a habit or strengthen mental muscles, so I encourage you to say affirmations every day for 3 weeks.  Affirmations can also help motivate actions so notice and act on any inspired actions that may come to mind as you build this 21-day "healthy relationship to money" habit.  Visit the show notes page at: kristinmorrison.com/money-affirmations Click to apply to get coached by Kristin Morrison on the Business Pathfinder podcast Sign up for a private business coaching session with Kristin Morrison. Ep. 59: The Artist Business Owner - Coaching Session Follow Up

I'm excited to be releasing this update with Delisa, an artist and business owner. Delisa was one of the first coaching clients on the Business Pathfinder podcast last year and she's back today with an update and some new challenges!  You'll hear about the opportunities that occurred for Delisa soon after her first podcast coaching session (Episode #12) and you'll learn some challenges she's currently facing in her life and business.  If you haven't yet heard the first episode with Delisa that aired last year, I encourage you to listen to that now (but of course it's always up to you what you do and how you listen to these episodes!)  I've made it very easy for you to listen to the first session with Delisa by releasing it again so you can easily find it and listen to it. From the Archives: The Artist Business Owner

This week, I'm releasing an update with one of the first Business Pathfinder coaching clients from last year!   This is the orginal episode that aired last year. If you haven't yet heard it, here it is for you to listen to before the update gets released this week. Delisa is an artist who has an artist space but it's not quite right for her needs in large part because it's tucked away in the back of another building.  She's mulling over the possibility of wanting to find an art space where she could potentially sell her art, and have her friends sell their art too and create a feeling of community with the space. However, she doesn't want to have to be there all the time, the way she felt when she had a commercial space years ago.  In this session we explore a lot of different perspectives and ideas so she can step into her vision in a different way.  Check out the show notes to find out more about Delisa:  www.Kristinmorrison.com/podcast12 Get Kristin Morrison's new book: 30-Day Social Media Challenge Click to find out more about the Monthly Webinars and Workshops Schedule a Private Coaching Session with Kristin Morrison Want to create your Best Year Yet? Bonus: Digital Nomad

Today's episode is a conversation that Kristin Wilson had with me on her podcast, Badass Digital Nomads.  You'll hear Kristin and I discuss the various ways we kept ourselves away from traveling. You'll also discover how the desire to travel eventually pushed us to set up our businesses in ways that would enable us to go away for long stretches of time, including a sabbatical I took a few years ago for nearly a year.  If you want to travel for extended periods of time while your business runs without you or you would simply like to set up your business to run without you even while you're home, this is the episode for you to hear! Ep. 58: Showing Up for Your Business

Today's episode is with a woman named "Jackson Hole Rose". She lives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and she has two distinctly different businesses – one is a nature guide who leads people on hikes during the summer and snowshoeing during the winter.  The other business is helping female business owners become more visible, comfortable and confident on camera when they do live streaming for their business.  Rose wants to be a role model for her clients and is interested in being an influencer. In this session we explore why she wants to be an influencer and (more importantly) what may be her true desire. Ep. 57. Create Calm in a Busy Business

Today's episode is different that the usual ones. It's not a coaching session or an interview but rather, it's an exploration. In this episode, you'll have the opportunity to explore ways to find calm and peace in the middle of running a busy business or navigating a stressful life - or both!  You may even feel more relaxed than you did before listening. Going Deeper: Think and Grow Rich

The Business Pathfinder podcast is a year old this month! Woo hoo! 🎉 If you've been along for the ride the past 12 months, you've noticed I released an episode each week, and sometimes even more than one episode a week.  It's time to switch gears so, going forward, I'll be releasing one episode every other week.  I'm making time for some life adventures including writing a business book I'll be releasing later this year. But first: a few days ago I released a book called The 30-Day Social Media Challenge.  The new book is a step-by-step book and workbook to revamp and revitalize your social media.  To find out more about the new book, you can go to this episode's show notes page: www.KristinMorrison.com/rich. Recently a podcast called "The Courage to Be" reached out to interview me on their podcast. The focus of the interview was on how the book ""Think and Grow Rich" has influenced my life and as you'll hear from this interview, Tania and I spoke about how that meant much more than money! Enjoy this interview that Tania did with me on the Courage to Be podcast! Visit the show notes page to find out more: www.KristinMorrison.com/rich. Ep. 56. Create an International Following

Veronika lives in Prague and is a intuitive 'reader' who works with individuals and groups. Her business is successful in the Czech Republic but she'd like to expand her reach to be an international business. Her biggest dream is to sing and teach her "Light Language" which is similiar to sound healing. According to Veronika, Light Language helps heal and soothe the nervous system. (You'll hear her sing her Light Language on the episode, it's such a treat!)  I invite you to relax and enjoy this coaching session with Veronika. Ep. 55: Turn Sales Calls Into Clients

Today's coaching session is with a PR expert. Mercedes is a PR expert who has a niche of helping consultants gain publicity. Specifically, she helps coaches and consultants determine where and how to reach out to journalists and pitch themselves and their businesses to increase their credibility and their reach. She is sometimes able to turn sales calls into clients, but it seems to be hit or miss. Mercedes wants to learn how to refine her sales skills, so she has an even better track record when it comes to converting discovery calls into actual clients. There are some simple but effective ways she can change the sales calls and you'll learn, alongside Mercedes, how to get new clients through sales calls. Ep. 54: Fear of Making a Mistake

Rachel has a money-lending company, and she has also owns rental properties.  The challenge Rachel is bringing to this session is she's wanting to make double the amount from her rentals, (double the current amount), but what quickly becomes clear is that she has a fear of mistake, and also some imposter syndrome, which is keeping her stuck. Her fear also causes her to procrastinate which causes her to feel even more stuck!  High achievers like Rachel often have really big fear too. Rachel's coaching session is an example of that common entrepreneur challenge. In this session, you'll hear us untangle this very common challenge for Rachel and for a lot of entrepreneurs. Buckle up, it's a wild ride!  Visit the show notes page to find out more: https://kristinmorrison.com/podcast54 Find out more about webinars and workshops with Kristin Morrison. Ep. 53: Transform Perfectionism

This is the second coaching session with Boston software developer and educator, Ebaad, who is orginally from Pakistan. You'll hear me work with Ebaad around his perfectionism as it relates to running his business and living his life. When I reached out to him a few days after the coaching session to ask him to sum up his synopsis of what he gained from this second coaching session, here's what he wrote: "Kristin, the sessions with you were really helpful. I have decided to try things, without worrying about how it is received. This has been helpful in getting out of my head. I have also been trying to connect with my past self a little more and connect with him with the strength I have today. I plan to launch my first blog post this week and also my work project in the coming weeks. I am really excited for what the future holds!" Ep. 52: Childhood Trauma and Compulsive Ambition

Today's coaching session is an unusual one. In this session, I am working with Ebaad who is originally from Pakistan, now in Boston, where he is a software developer and instructor. In this episode, we unexpectedly explore a topic that is rarely discussed in business circles: childhood trauma and how it can fuel ambition and perfectionism, often to the detriment of the ambitious and high-achieving business owner. Ep. 51: Sustainable Success

This is Stephanie's third and final coaching session in this episode series.  Her first coaching session is Episode 137 and her second session is Episode 138. If you haven't already heard the prior sessions, it's recommended you listen to those before before listening to this, her third and final coaching session. (This episode builds upon those episodes and will make a lot more sense if you've listened to those episodes first.)  In this final session with Stephanie, we discuss workaholism and how to create success with grace, ease and joy. How to drop the compulsive hustle and work grind in order to truly enjoy life while still creating sustainable financial success. It IS possible to create a work life that gives you both a happy life and financial abundance! No need to choose one over the other. As you listen to this coaching session, think about your own life and business and, like Stephanie, you may also gain insight and guidance on how to create a life you love to live as a business owner. Ep: 50: Release the Overwhelm

This is Stephanie's second podcast coaching session. Her first business coaching session on the podcast is Episode 49. If you haven't already heard her first session, listening to that episode first is rcommended. Since the first coaching session, Stephanie has stopped spending time on social media since that took so much time and energy away from working on her passion project (the new business venture she discussed in Episode 49).  She's now only posting on social media when she's accomplished something in her business! In this way, social media is supporting her to be accountable instead of distracting her from the startup tasks she wants to do to launch her new business. As we explore what else is taking up her time and energy, we determine three major areas of her life and work right now that are consuming her energy and time: 1) parenting her 5-year-old son, 2) running her dog walking business and 3) teaching at a university.  When she thinks about adding her passion project business to her already-full schedule she feels very overwhelmed.  So, given all that she has going on her life and work, where does she go from here? What does she need to step away from in order to feel less overwhelmed and to focus on what matters most to her?  You'll find out in this coaching session with Stephanie!  Visit the show notes page to find out more: https://kristinmorrison.com/podcast50 Find out more and sign up for the  28-Day Business and Life Bootcamp for Badass Women. Ep. 49: Business Pivot

Stephanie has had a dog business for many years. Though she wants to continue growing her business, she also wants to create a new online business that is targeted to pet owners. She is thinking that an online business could be a good "branch" off her current pet business.  She has questions about the logistics of creating an online business and how to balance both an in-person service business with an online business. At the end of this session, we dive deep into Stephanie's mindset. She has a profound awareness of how she feels like she never has enough. She also feels like she isn't doing enough in her business and in her life. You'll hear more about this in the next coaching session I do with Stephanie in Episode 50, which is focused on Stephanie working on her mindset.  Visit the show notes page to find out more: https://kristinmorrison.com/podcast49 Find out more and sign up for the  28-Day Business and Life Bootcamp for Badass Women. Ep. 48: Convert Website Viewers to Customers

This is my second coaching session with Elliott. You can hear the first coaching session with Elliott on Episode 47. It's recommended to listen to the earlier session with Elliott before listening to this episode because this sessoin builds upon that episode.  Elliott is a business owner who lives and works in Toronto, Canada.  Elliott is a coach who works with artists, writers and other creatives. He developed an accountability co-working online platform called Project Lab to support creatives with a distraction-free zone to help them stay focused on their artistic projects.  Elliott also incorporates includes mindfulness and freewriting exercises in Project Lab to help creatives dive more fully into their projects and to assist them in leaving distraction behind. In this second coaching session, Elliott has questions about how to turn interested people into paying customers, how to educate people on what it is he does since he has such an unusual business, how to balance the freebies he gives out to help those interested to experience the value they can get from participating with how to then charge for what it is he's offering with Project Lab. Ep. 47: The Creative Introvert

"The world is not designed for you to practice your instrument. It's designed for you to vegetate, eat bad food, watch CNN, and that's what our mainstream world is designed for." -Elliott's guitar teacher  Elliott is a deep, insightful business owner who lives in Toronto. He's an introvert who is a skillful conversationalist. There were so many ideas we covered in this coaching session that I decided to work with Elliott again after this for a second session. You'll find the other session I did with Elliott on Episode 48. It's recommended that you listen to this episode first, if possible. Elliott is a coach who helps artists, writers and other creatives. He developed an accountability co-working online platform called Project Lab. He developed Project Lab to support creatives with a distraction-free zone to help them stay focused on their work projects. His intention with both ventures is to assist artists of all kinds in their artistic endeavors. Project Lab also includes mindfulness and freewriting exercises to help participants move more fully into their projects and leave distraction behind.  Elliott has several business questions including how to get more clients and how to inspire his coaching clients and other creatives to join the Project Lab online community so he can more fully support their artistic projects. Ep. 46: Unpacking Negative Beliefs About Money

This is Part Two of my coaching session with May, a financial coach in the UK who works with individuals, and also runs a non-profit. It's recommended that you listen to Part One first (Ep. 45) before listening to this session as this one builds upon the first session. May has taken action since the last session, including raising her rates.  Now she's wanting to explore what may be underneath her negative money beliefs so she can move beyond them and begin to make monumental changes in her business and financial life. In this session, you'll hear us unpack May's early life when she unconsciously took on some of her parent's beliefs about money. Unless we bring negative beliefs to consciousness, these beliefs can continue to impact our business and life. May is courageously willing to explore this so she can free herself from these beliefs that don't serve her today. Join me and May as we bring to light her unconscious beliefs about money so she can choose whether to keep them or let them go. It's always a choice. As you listen, I encourage you to reflect on beliefs you may have taken on that no longer serve you in your business and your life today. Please note: This is Part Two of my business coaching session with May. Part One is Episode 45. It's recommended that you listen to that episode first since this session builds upon the first session. Bonus: Write Your Book!

Do you want to write a book or are you having trouble finding time and motivation to complete your book? Or… does writing a book seem like a monumental task you can't even imagine taking on even though one of your goals is to write a book? A couple months ago, podcaster Lisa Shaughnessy interviewed me about how my book writing process on her podcast, Your Writing Retreat Connection. I've written six books and my seventh book for all types of business owners will be released in 2024. (More information about that book to come about in the coming months.) Lisa usually limits her interview guests to workshop retreat hosts (which I am not!) but she wanted to offer a fresh perspective for her podcast listeners who prefer writing in solitude, rather than a structured writing retreat with other writers. You probably don't know this about me: I wrote 70% of my first book in two 3-day weekends. That's right, 70% of my first book was written in just 6 days! In this episode, you'll hear how I created the perfect environment to spark my creativity and finish most of my first book in two long weekend solo writing retreats. You'll also hear me share how writer's block threatened my ability to complete my book and how I changed course to get past my blocks and finish my book. Listen as Lisa and I discuss how to create a writing process that works best, doing what's right for you, and how and why I've written books as part of my business growth strategy.

  22. 53

    Ep 45: Money Hang-ups

May is a financial coach in the UK who works with individuals, and she also runs a non-profit. Like a lot of business owners, she has difficulty determining what her rates should be and raising her rates and this is impacting her ability to take her business to the next financial level. As we untangle into May's money history, it becomes clear that part of the reason for her money challenges is that she's currently on financial aid due to her son's disability and she feels guilt charging her clients who have similar challenges. And another part of her difficulty is because of some ingrained negative beliefs about money. These naturally arose from witnessing her first financial role models, her parents, and how they dealt with money. Join me and May as we explore some money hang-ups she has – and you may be able to relate to them too! Please note: This is Part One of my business coaching session with May. Part Two is my second session with May on Episode 46. It's recommended that you listen to this episode first before going to Part Two. Ep. 44: Business Clarity

Liz is a therapist who is eager to pivot her therapy business in new ways, but she is feeling stuck. She feels pulled in a few different directions and wants clarity as far as what to pursue and where to put her energy and actions. She is someone who gets excited about a new venture in the beginning and then finds her energy waning after starting it. Liz wants to find the inner and outer motivation to not only begin the new ventures she's excited about now but also to maintain that momentum so she can follow through and turn her dreams and visions into reality.  Join me and Liz in this coaching session as we tease out her business challenges and help her arrive to a place of clarity and motivation. Ep. 43: The Highly Creative Business Owner

Nicole developed The Needs Languages personality communication model. Using this system, she has created workplace programs that focus on belonging. She has also given three TED talks, written a few books and created online courses - plus a lot more! Nicole is a powerhouse entrepreneur. Like so many highly creative business owners, she's got a lot of irons in the fire and her creative brain is often brimming with business ideas. This makes it very hard for Nicole to determine what she should focus on and where to put her attention, so she sometimes ends up feeling scattered, stressed and overwhelmed. On top of that, she's also grieving a recent loss and finding it hard to generate energy for her many work tasks. Ep. 42. Support for the Overwhelmed Business Owner

Samantha is a lawyer on a mission to help first generation business owners become  millionaires by doing everything in her power to make sure their businesses become sustainable wealth generators. She has created a legal firm that supports these entrepreneurs and lives part-time in the United States and part-time in Brazil. Samantha has outsourced some of her tedious business tasks to a virtual assistance team who supported her business going to the next level but recently that trusty VA team suddenly went out of business. Experiencing this loss has been understandingly challenging to Samantha and, because she's got a lot on her work plate, she hasn't had the time or energy to find a new team to help her. In this coaching session I explore with Samantha how she can go about the search for the right VA support. We also discuss what she needs to do to find the right to people to support her business and where she may be able to find the right team. We tease out what important skills these team members need to have to support her legal business. Bonus: Soul of the Business

In this bonus episode, Julia Neumann interviews Kristin Morrison on the Radically Alive Women podcast. In this interview, you'll hear Kristin share her passion for listening to her clients and what she's listening for to bring voice to what is not spoken by her clients and how listening to what isn't being said can often remove roadblocks to inner and outer challenges. You'll also hear how you can converse with your business to find answers to your stuck places, especially when other avenues have failed to provide you clarity. With coaching clients on the podcast and in private coaching sessions, Kristin sometimes use an effective modality called "Active Imagination" to support her clients in nonlinear ways to support them to find solutions. You'll hear Kristin describe how this process works and why business can be a powerful portal for transformation. Julia and Kristin also touch upon the vision for business that goes beyond profit and a comfortable life for the individual. Today's podcast coaching client is Kristen. Her business is boarding dogs in her home. Kristen has three sons and she's going through a divorce and her soon-to-be ex-husband supported most her financial needs and now she needs to make more money in her dog boarding business. What becomes apparent as we begin this coaching session is that she needs to get clear how much she needs to make each month. We discuss the gifts that can happen when she does financial tracking and the best way to track business and personal numbers. We also explore the goal setting process and why it's important for Kristen, how her financial goals may positively impact her net profit, and the glass ceiling and what can help her move beyond her current financial blocks. On a personal level, one of Kristen's barriers that has affected her self-esteem (and earning) is that her prior partner didn't support her and in fact, put her down a lot. She experienced a lot of belittling from him, and it really wore down her self-esteem. Now that she's out of that relationship and can see clearly, she needs to strengthen herself internally, cultivate confidence and self-esteem both while living her life and running her dog boarding business. Ep. 40: Mental Hygiene

Today, rather than a coaching session, you'll hear Kristin Morrison being interviewed by Adam Baruh on healthy mindset and mental hygiene on the podcast, Beyond the Microphone. Adam invites Kristin to step into his podcast studio to ask about her journey as a serial entrepreneur, long-time business coach, and the podcast host of two podcasts: Business Pathfinder and Prosperous Pet Business. Listen in as they discuss specifics about how to create a healthy mindset, avoid burnout, and the importance of -not only talking about it-, but actually making time for the people and activities that truly matter. Ep. 39: Remove Financial Scarcity Blocks

Becky is an artist who, for many years, had a husband who supported her financially. Now she's no longer with him and she needs to create a steady income stream. She wants to create a business centered around her art and expressing her creativity. She would like to sell more paintings. She would also like to lead art retreats and perhaps even have an art gallery of her own. She moved from California to Ohio to be near her sons. She really needs to create some income and wants to do work she loves. She does have some of her art in a gallery. It's been challenging putting herself out there but it's also exciting. Becky is trying to figure out what art modality she should focus on or even if she should focus on one modality. She is wondering if she's putting off the energy of scarcity because she's not able to sell her art the way she used to before. She'd like to find out more about the blocks she may have to making money and feeling successful. She wants to move through any blocks that may be standing in her way of the abundance she wants to create her work and her life. Ep. 37: Delegate in Your Business

This is Part Two of my coaching session with Amy. If you haven't yet heard Part One (Episode 36), I encourage you to listen to that episode first as it sets the stage for this session. In Part One you heard Amy having a hard time detaching from her phone. In this session, you'll hear how hard it is for her to delegate and let go to an office manager or admin assistant and other staff members. If you can relate to this (and I know a lot of you can!), this episode is for you! Thanks to Amy for being willing to be so open, authentic and vulnerable in both of her coaching sessions with me. We cover topics in these two sessions that a lot of business owners struggle with. I am grateful Amy was able to show up so courageously to not only get help for herself, but also help those of you who struggle with these similar issues in your business and personal life. Ep. 36: How to Detach from Worry and the Business Phone

In today's coaching session, you'll meet business owner Amy. Amy is like a lot of business owners, and even some people who don't have a business.  She is having a difficult time detaching from her phone and she's also finding herself plagued by a lot of worry. She feels like her phone is always with her and she has no idea how to fully let it go, even for a bit of time each day, so that she can actually be a human being instead of a human doing all the time.  Amy feels like she's currently living the life of the meme: "Why did I quit my 9-5 job only to work 24/7 in my business?" We cover a lot of ground in this session, and it ended in a very different spot than we anticipated it. Near the end of this session with Amy, it became clear there was more to work on with Amy and so we set up another session – Part Two is Episode 37.  Thanks to Amy for being so vulnerable and willing to share her struggles in this coaching session. We cover topics here that so many business owners face and I feel so grateful that she was able to show up so courageously for this session in order to help those of you who struggle with similar issues. It's my hope that if you're struggling with detaching from your phone and from debilitating worry that this episode will help you find some relief. Ep. 35: Create Intentional Business Growth

Andrew quit drinking and lost a lot of weight when he used hypnosis to help himself make these big life shifts. He's now a hypnotherapist who has helped a lot of clients make big changes in their lives too. A few months ago, one of the clients he helped posted information about his hypnotherapy service on her popular blog. Initially that increased Andrew's hypnotherapy business in a big way.  But, because it was "accidental growth", he now needs to learn how to intentionally grow his client base since the surge of new clients that resulted from the blog post has now subsided.  Andrew wants to know what marketing actions he can take to create an intentional flow of new clients. Ep 34: Goodbye to the People Pleaser Business Owner

Marie has a product-based business named Kitchen Witch, which is based on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Her products include handmade soaps, deodorants and candles that contain essential oils. At first it was a hobby business, but then it grew bigger and bigger and as it began to expand, Marie began to feel burned out. Marie has lost the spark of creativity when it comes to her business. Lately her business tasks have become more of a chore than the passion it once was. She's realizing she was more passionate about her business when it was only her hobby and not part of her livelihood. She is having a struggle balancing her time and energy with the many work and life tasks she has on her plate. Marie also has gotten into the habit of giving a lot of her products away to friends and she realizes she can't do that anymore since it impacts her profit margin! However, the thought of setting boundaries and saying "no more free items" feels awkward and uncomfortable. Listen in as we cover all of this -and a lot more- in this episode. Ep. 33: Busywork Doesn't Result In Clients

In today's coaching session, I'm working with Kaitlin.  Kaitlin is a life coach whose niche is helping moms practice self-care, boundaries and live a full life themselves so they can be there more fully for their kids.  She's been doing a lot of busy work lately, working many hours each day in her business, but that hasn't resulted in many clients. She feels frustrated and confused by this, because she invests many hours each day to try and grow her coaching practice.  When Kaitlin does get clients, they love working with her and gain a lot of value from what she is offering, so she is eager to discover what she's doing wrong in terms of her messaging and advertising or what she needs to be doing in order to get a lot more clients.  In this session we also explore how she can write her web copy in a way that will help her attract those stressed-out moms who most need what Kaitlin can give them without them feeling overwhelmed by a lot of words or having to do 'yet another thing'. To have them recognize themselves and their needs in Kaitlin's web copy and other messaging so that they will feel inspired to take action to sign up for her private coaching and online courses. She also wants to know some tips to warm up her social media followers, so they feel inspired to work with her.  Kaitlin's final question for me is what she should do about those who follow and friend her who only seem to want her free items?  Click the show notes page to find out more: https://kristinmorrison.com/podcast33 Find out more about the 28-Day Biz and Life Bootcamp for Badass Women. Ep. 32: Communication Matters

Blaine is a wealth management advisor in his early thirties who is often working 80 hours a week since he left company he worked for and began his own wealth management firm.  (A head's up if you have kids listening with you: there's a moment of swearing about 60% into this episode.) He's trying to figure out why he's not able to close the deal as much as he did when he worked for a top company. Even though Blaine has a lot of experience, he wonders if his issue is perhaps the result of him being young; maybe potential clients perceive his young age to be an indicator of him not being able to adequately guide them in their financial decisions?  The sales process that worked well when he was with the prior company, but the process isn't working well for him as a self-employed money manager and adviser and he feels frustrated and confused. Blaine wants to know when to begin focusing on getting higher income clients and where to find those income bracket clients.  He also wants to know if it would make sense for him as a wealth manager to create videos on You Tube and TikTok as a possible way to reach possible new clients. Blaine and I discuss all of this and a lot more in this episode. Ep. 31: Hyper-Independence and "I'm All Alone"

Alex is a software engineer and entrepreneur in Poland. She helps business owners with technology through a membership site she created called Tech Club. Our conversation at the beginning of the session may at first seem like it's not relevant to Alex's business but as you listen you'll hear it sets the stage for where we end up going in this session.  Alex is one of those entrepreneurs who "has good starts" but after her initial success, her projects seem to fizzle out.  Like it or not, we bring who we are into our business. If we're not consciously aware of what we've learned about money and work from our parents and grandparents, we may unconsciously carry those parental beliefs that aren't ours into our work. This can also happen with childhood wounds that have not yet been healed - they can profoundly impact how we run our businesses, as you'll hear is the case with Alex.  Trigger Warning: There's a brief mention of suicidal thoughts in this episode, so please take loving care of yourself as you listen.  Click the show notes page to find out more: https://kristinmorrison.com/podcast31 Find out more about the 28-Day Biz and Life Bootcamp for Badass Women. Ep. 30: Navigate Transitions

Audra is a dynamic and energetic entrepreneur who has two different types of coaching businesses. The focus of her newest coaching business is helping people navigate challenging transitions.  She's unsure about how and where to advertise to find her ideal clients and how to post about her business on social media in a way that can reach the people who can most be helped by her. In this session we discuss how Audra can connect to that part of herself that used to struggle with the challenges that her ideal clients are now struggling with.  We also explore how, by Audra going back to that place of remembering what she went through during her challenging times will then help her write social media posts that speak to those people who need what she has to offer. Going Deeper: Limiting Beliefs

I was recently interviewed on Jill Sutton's podcast, Living Her Legacy. This is that interview. Jill's podcast is geared for moms, but this episode is for anyone who has trouble setting boundaries or needs to let go of limiting beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. As Jill and I discuss in this episode, setting boundaries in my business vastly improved the quality of my life.  You'll also learn how a person's role can change throughout their lives (and their business) and how false beliefs about ourselves, our business and our lives can be limiting for our growth and impact - and how to break free of those limiting beliefs!  Find out more about the 28-Day Business and Life Bootcamp for Badass Women. Ep. 29: Active Imagination to Remove Blocks

Gabrielle has a massage and somatic healing business that she brought to Australia from her home country, New Zealand.  This type of massage has been brought down from her familial line and Gabrielle also draws upon the Moire tradition to help release inner and outer blocks. Gabrielle also has a training program for those who want to learn the massage modality that she teaches.  She has some new business ideas bubbling up and she feels exhausted thinking about diving into a project again. She has a fear of overwhelm and burned out. In this episode, I use a process called Active Imagination to help her gain clarity, perspective and awareness in order to move forward.  Join us with an open mind as I use this unconventional method to work with Gabrielle's fear and overwhelm. Ep. 28: Create Business Opportunities

Julie Zaruba is a well-being and change management specialist. She's a consultant and a facilitator for organizations and individuals. Her business is part-time, and her job is full-time. She likes the security of her full-time job, and she likes the creativity of being a business owner and the freedom that brings. She wants to have a strategic plan for her business, but she doesn't want to hustle or experience burnout again. She doesn't want the business she started to then lead into that burnout zone and she also wants her business to be a reflection of her values. Julie would like to have her business courses to lead to speaking engagements in organizations. In this coaching session we cover a lot of fertile ground including the intricacies of language to help Julie reach her ideal clients, how to find that sweet spot to get in alignment with business goals, and how to determine parameters to keep burnout at bay so that aliveness is present in Julie's business and personal life. Ep. 27: Business Coaching to Find the Path Forward

Some podcast coaching sessions get wrapped up in a tidy bow at the end. This session didn't end that way, but toward the end you'll hear Izabela's business vision begin to take shape and form.  Izabela contacted me because she needed business coaching and perspective from someone outside of her circle to help her get clarity on her big business ideas. When I'm coaching visionary business owners like Izabela in this session, there can be so many irons in the fire that it can be difficult for my innovative coaching client to focus on just one area. But because that's usually all we have time for in this podcast medium, it often requires some effort (and cat herding!) on my part to keep the creative person focused and to bring them back gently but firmly if they get distracted. Like a lot of creative business owners, Izabela is unsure how to describe the work that she does and the work she wants to do going forward. She is eager to move forward, but she's also been struggling moving forward because of some mental health issues and her lack of clarity. In this episode you'll hear us begin to tease out her niche.  If you're a business owner, it's important to get crystal clear on your niche because that's a foundational element that will guide you on where and whom to market so you can begin to attract your right customers and audience. If that sounds easy, it's often a lot harder than it sounds! In this coaching session you'll hear us untangle a few of Izabela's creative business ideas and help her gain more clarity. Ep. 26: PTSD Around Business Burnout

Today's business coaching client is Nancy, a licensed marriage and family therapist.  Nancy is like many therapists during the pandemic: she got massively burned out. As a result of experiencing business burnout, she became an executive coach with the hope that being a coach would help her cultivate a healthier and more manageable work / life balance. However, what she's struggling with now that she's a coach is the opposite of burnout – she's having a difficult time getting coaching clients. Her struggle seems to be (at least initially in this session), in marketing herself and putting herself out there. As a therapist she was used to the ease of having so many therapy clients come to her easily and effortlessly but at least in part because she hasn't put herself out there as a coach, she hasn't been able to get clients. There's a block within her around getting clients and marketing. When she was a therapist she had an overflowing practice and now that she's a coach she's perplexed why she isn't also getting a large inflow of clients. She wants to figure out how she can get more clients and how to move forward in her new line of work. Nancy is clear she wants to reduce her stress and she is aware she has some fear of getting burned out again. In this coaching session we explore what's underneath Nancy's fear of burnout. What gets revealed underneath the burnout surprises both of us - and it may surprise you too. Ep. 25: Explore Entrepreneurship

Cindy-Anne is a successful woman in a corporate position at a firm in the United States. She's from South Africa and now lives in California.  In addition to continuing work in her corporate job, Cindy-Anne wants to explore turning some of her passions, including motivational speaking and mentoring women, into an entrepreneurial venture. In this coaching session, we tease out Cindy-Anne's vision, including what she is considering creating as a business and her "why" behind the desire to create it.  You'll also learn about public speaking and how to cultivate your "public speaking chops" in an authentic and meaningful way. Ep. 24: What Can You Let Go of Today?

Lisa is an acupuncturist who needs to make some big changes in a few areas of her business and her personal life.  She doesn't have much time after a long workday to take care of household chores and she has no desire or much energy left to take care of these tasks after work. She'd like to delegate some specific tasks that are time drains for her - but like a lot of people, she's reluctant to let go of control.  Lisa also wants to expand her acupuncture practice and, for her, that starts with getting her own free-standing clinic, rather than expanding within the shared space she's currently renting. We also explore how best to rearrange Lisa's work schedule so she has some much-needed free time. We cover a lot of ground in this session!  Click the show notes page to find out more: https://kristinmorrison.com/podcast24 It's happening soon:  28-Day Business and Life Bootcamp for Badass Women. Ep. 23: Because You're Worth It

Please Note: This is Part Two of Brionna's coaching session. Part One is Ep 22: Know Your Value. If you haven't yet heard Part One, you may want to listen to that episode first.  Brionna provides pet care services and she's having a difficult time knowing how to price her services. She feels awkward and uncomfortable when it comes to stating how much she charges. Even though when she tells clients her rates, she will then often back pedal if a client protests that her rate is too high. Sometimes she'll voluntarily offer a discount even when her clients don't ask for one! This pattern of not charging what her time and energy are worth is creating resentment toward her business and disappointment in herself. Brionna needs help getting out of this disempowering cycle.  In this business coaching session, you'll join us as we go on a wild ride that starts with a left-brain process of Brionna discovering exactly how to price her services, so they feel good to her and aren't too high or too low. This coaching session ends in a surprising "right brain" way for both of us in episode 23 as I put on my life coach hat to help Brionne discover how to fully embody the value she's bringing to her clients so she can then confidently state her rates.  Click the show notes page to find out more: https://kristinmorrison.com/podcast23 Find out more about the 28-Day Biz and Life Bootcamp for Badass Women. Ep. 21: Pricing Your Services

Pam has a successful massage service business located in Colorado. She's struggling with how to price her services and how to go about raising her rates without losing clients. Like many business owners in a "caretaking field", Pam has a big heart and cares deeply for her clients and their well-being.  She knows some of her clients are on a limited budget. She's understandably concerned they won't use her massage services as much as they currently do if she raises her rates.  In this session we discuss the dos and don'ts when it comes to pricing services and raising rates. I also outline how Pam can raise her rates in a way that will cause the least amount of disruption to both Pam and her massage therapy clients - and how you can raise your rates too, regardless of your type of business.
