S3E14: Tarot, storytelling and playing the witch card with KJ Del'Antonia

In this episode, we sit down with bestselling author KJ Del'Antonia to chat about Playing the Witch Card, how tarot is woven throughout the story, her own relationship with the cards, and how each character's journey reflects the lessons they most need to learn. S3-E13: Skepticism, But Make It Woo

Welcome back, our cosmic wanderers! This week, we're exploring the wonderfully messy middle ground between skepticism and spirituality. Can you trust your intuition while still asking questions? Can you love tarot and keep your critical thinking fully operational? We're talking about discernment, confirmation bias, spiritual red (and green!) flags, ethical readers, and how to stay open-minded without handing over your common sense. We also welcome a special guest appearance from one of our resident skeptics—Tabitha's husband—who drops in to share a skeptical perspective, answer a few of our burning questions, and help keep us honest before returning to his regularly scheduled non-woo activities. Whether you're a believer, a skeptic, or just here for the tarot chaos, we hope you'll join us as we wander, wonder, and woo our way through the conversation. S3-E11: By the numbers - A cozy intro into numerology

Welcome back our cosmic wanderers. 🎙️✨🔮🌙✨ What if the universe has been trying to get your attention through numbers this whole time? Today, we’re diving into the intersection of tarot and numerology — not in a “you need to memorize a thousand meanings” kind of way, but in a practical, approachable way that can make tarot feel easier, deeper, and a whole lot less intimidating. Along the way, we’ll get into the basics of numerology — Ruling and Life Path Numbers that can reveal your personality and how you move through the world. Plus, we’ll share some of our own experiences with numerology synchronicities, childhood books reappearing at suspiciously perfect times, and those moments that make you stop and go… “okay, that’s a little too specific.” Whether the universe is sending signs or our brains are just really good at finding patterns… honestly, sometimes the result is the same: deeper self-awareness. We chat about: ✨ Life Path & Ruling Numbers ✨ How numerology shows up in tarot ✨ Childhood books reappearing at very suspiciously perfect moments Whether you fully believe the universe is sending signs, or you just think humans are really good at finding meaning in patterns, this episode is all about curiosity, reflection, and exploring the “what if?” together. So grab your tarot deck, maybe a calculator if math isn’t your love language, and settle in for a cozy conversation about the mystical side of numbers. Mentioned in this episode: 🔮 Interested in diving deeper into numerology? Check out upcoming classes and events through Higher Love Coaching ✨ We’ll also be hosting an upcoming tarot workshop in June, where we’ll explore tarot in a practical, intuitive, and beginner-friendly way. Stay tuned for more details! Follow us on Instagram & Facebook: @butfirstletswoo 🌙 Cozy magic, curious conversations, and the occasional existential revelation.

S3-E10: Spirits and spreadsheets - A conversation with Kim Reddin, Medium, Reiki Practitioner and...Mortgage Broker

Welcome back our cosmic wanderers. 🎙️✨🔮🌙✨ Today’s guest lives at the intersection of logic and intuition… spreadsheets and spirit guides to be exact. Kim Reddin is a mortgage broker, helping people find solid ground in the physical world—and a gifted medium and Reiki practitioner, guiding people through the unseen. It’s not every day you meet someone who can talk interest rates and energy fields in the same breath—but Kim does it with clarity, compassion, and just the right amount of magic. We’re diving into how she balances both worlds, what she’s learned from connecting with spirit, and how energy work can impact our everyday lives—yes, even the stressful ones involving paperwork and deadlines. Let’s get into it. *********** If this episode resonated with you, share it with someone who might need a little grounding… or a little guidance. S3-E9: Curious cards - How to ask Tarot questions that go deeper

Welcome back, cosmic wanderers. This week, we’re diving into something simple… but quietly game-changing when it comes to tarot: how to ask better questions. Because it’s not just about pulling cards — it’s about how you frame what you’re actually seeking. In this episode, we explore why some readings feel deeper than others, how to shift from prediction into guidance, and how tarot works best as a snapshot in time — something you can respond to, not just receive. 💬 Join the Conversation What’s your go-to tarot question? Or… what’s one you’ve completely rethought? We’d love to hear from you: Instagram & Facebook: @butfirstletswoo Website: butfirstletswoo.com

S3-E8: Kevin the Medium talks dream visitations, a ghost in a top hat and what the other side wants you to know

Welcome back our cosmic wanderers. 🎙️✨🔮🌙✨ This week, we’re diving into something that sits right at the heart of the woo—channeling, connection, and the question that so many of us quietly carry: “What if I’m not just imagining this?” Today we’re joined by Kevin Hughes, also known as Kevin the Medium, who has been experiencing spirit communication since childhood—long before he had the words or framework to understand it. What he thought were dreams… were actually conversations. Now, Kevin connects with spirit guides and loved ones, and teaches others how to do the same—grounded in the belief that this isn’t a rare gift… it’s something anyone can learn to access. So whether you’re deeply intuitive, a little bit curious, or sitting there thinking ,“okay but how do I know it’s real?”… this conversation is for you. Settle in, get cozy… and let’s begin. *********** If something in this episode resonated with you, or sparked a question you’ve been quietly holding, we’d love to hear about it. S3-E7: Oracle cards, creativity and intuition - Exploring the world beyond Tarot

Welcome back, cosmic wanderers. This week, we’re diving into something that often sits quietly beside tarot — oracle cards. If tarot is a structured system with shared symbolism, oracle decks are a little more… free-spirited. They can be themed around almost anything, created in countless styles, and often reflect the personal vision of their creator. Which makes them both fascinating… and occasionally a little chaotic. In this episode, we explore what oracle cards really are, how people actually use them, and how they can work alongside tarot. We’re also sharing a few of our favourite decks — and why they’ve stayed in our rotation. So settle in, get cozy, and let’s wander into the slightly mysterious — and very creative — world of oracle cards. ✨ In This Episode, We Explore 🃏 What Are Oracle Cards, Really? What defines an oracle deck  Tarot vs oracle: what actually makes them different Why many people start with oracle decks How people actually use them: Morning card pulls Journaling prompts Meditation + reflection Creative inspiration Emotional check-ins 🌙 Willow’s Deck Spotlight The Witching Hour Oracle — Lorraine Anderson What makes this deck unique The aesthetic, tone, and emotional feel It's connection to tarot 🌿 Tabitha’s Deck Spotlight The Wild Way Oracle — Nicola Allen What drew Tabitha to this deck Themes, artwork, and overall feel Who this deck would resonate with 🌀 Advice No One Asked For We asked the cards: What unexpected workshop theme should we explore next? Using a tarot spread + oracle message, we explore: The hidden theme we haven’t considered Why it might resonate How the workshop could unfold The core takeaway And ... we were surprised when they actually came up with some really good suggestions!

S3-E6: Reading Tarot professionally, a wild women's weekend and Willow met her spirit animal

Welcome back our cosmic wanderers. 🎙️✨🔮🌙✨ This week’s episode is a little different — and a little full-circle. Last year, we attended a women’s weekend as participants. We showed up with open minds, cozy sweaters, and a healthy curiosity about what might unfold. And this year… we went back as presenters. Which sounds very confident and impressive now. It did not feel that way beforehand. So today we’re taking you through the weekend. We’ll cover the before, the during, and the after — what we expected, what actually happened, and what we learned about doing things that feel big and a little bit scary. So settle in, get cozy, and let’s rewind the weekend together — starting with the part that might actually be the hardest: the anticipation. *********** If you’ve done something recently that felt big or a little outside your comfort zone, we’d love to hear about it. Come share your “did the scary thing anyway” moments with us over on Instagram or Facebook @butfirstletswoo — we always love hearing what you’re stepping into. Until next time… Do the brave thing gently, trust that you’re more ready than you think, and as always — keep it just a little bit woo.

S3-E3: Live, let die, and pull a card. It's Bond...James Bond - A woo-watch of Live and Let Die

Public service announcement: This episode contains full spoilers. Not gentle spoilers. Not “vibes only” spoilers. Actual plot points, reveals, and tarot moments we will talk about. But also… this movie came out over 50 years ago. So if you’ve somehow made it this far without watching Live and Let Die and want to experience it fresh, consider this your sign to pause, watch it, and come back. We’ll wait. 😉 🔮 James Bond Meets Tarot (And Things Get ... well ... mystical!) We sat down expecting a classic 1970s James Bond film. What we did not expect was tarot — everywhere. On tables. In prophecies. Driving the plot. And occasionally being blamed for things tarot absolutely does not do. So we’re trying something new. This isn’t a traditional movie review. This is our very first Woo-Watch — where we explore pop culture through tarot symbolism, archetypes, intuition, and a healthy amount of loving side-eye. 🃏 In This Woo-Watch, We Explore: Tarot symbolism in Live and Let Die Tarot archetypes used (and misused) on screen How tarot is portrayed in pop culture Why this film feels like camp, cautionary tale, or accidental occult classic The moments that made us gasp, laugh, and yell: “THAT IS NOT HOW TAROT WORKS.” This episode is spoiler-filled, tarot-curious, and slightly unhinged — exactly as intended. 🎧 This Episode Is For You If You Love: tarot and archetypes witchy pop culture analysis cozy and curious conversations spirituality explored without authority or instruction podcasts about intuition, symbolism, and meaning 💬 Join the Conversation Did we miss a tarot moment? S3-E2: The magic of manifesting

Welcome back, our cosmic wanderers! 🎙️✨🔮🌙✨ Today, we’re slipping into that delicious, hazy space between years—the place where time gets stretchy, the veil gets thin, and everything feels just a little more possible. This is the liminal light, and we’re using it to talk about manifesting magic for the new year. We’re not here to force resolutions or hustle ourselves into a new identity. We’re here to explore how manifestation really works—where intuition, psychology, and a little bit of witchy wonder meet in the middle. We’ll talk vision boards, sigils, moon rituals, and the gentle art of setting intentions that actually feel like you. And of course, we’re sharing our Words of the Year, looking back at what surprised us, and inviting in the energy we want 2026 to hold. So grab your tea, light something that smells like possibility, settle into the quiet glow of this in-between moment, and let’s wander together. Because today, we’re not manifesting from pressure—we’re manifesting from presence.

S2-E24: How to use Tarot for self-care

Welcome back our cosmic wanderers! 🎙️✨🔮🌙✨ Today, we’re not chasing answers or peering into the future—we’re slowing down, tuning in, and letting tarot hold up a mirror to the present. That’s right, we’re talking about tarot as self-care—where your deck becomes a cozy companion instead of a cosmic diviner and taskmaster. So grab your tea, wrap yourself in something soft, light that candle, and pull your favourite deck close. Because today, we’re giving ourselves permission to rest, to breathe, and to let the cards remind us: you don’t need fixing—you just need a little care. As always we love to hear from you, so share your “tarot self-care” card pulls! Share your cards and the meaning they offered you by tagging us on Instagram or Facebook  @butfirstletswoo or visiting us at butfirstletswoo.com. S2-E8: Reiki, and Breathwork, and Angel Cards…Oh my!

Welcome back our cosmic wanderers.🎙️✨🕯️✨🧙‍♀️✨ Today, we’re clearing our energy, taking a deep breath, and pulling a few cards—because we’re diving headfirst into a weekend of Reiki, Breathwork, and Angel readings … Oh My! What happens when you step into a world of healing hands, powerful inhales, and messages from beyond? Is it a journey of self-discovery … or is it some really expensive napping? Did we walk away enlightened … or just really, really hydrated? Were the vibes immaculate? Did the angels have something to say? And most importantly… did we finally figure out how to actually meditate? So grab a crystal, take a deep breath (or ten), and let’s get enlightened together. After all, a little magic never hurt anyone… right? ********************************** About the practices we tried: Reiki Imagine Reiki as a cosmic spa treatment for your soul. 🌌✨ It's like having an invisible masseuse who channels universal energy through their hands to give your body and mind a gentle, yet powerful, tune-up. Picture this: You're lying on a comfy bed, and the Reiki practitioner is waving their hands over you like a wizard casting spells of relaxation and healing. 🧙‍♂️✨ You might feel warmth, tingles, or even a sense of floating on a cloud. It's like your body's energy centers (your chakras) are getting a VIP pass to a rejuvenating party. Reiki is all about balancing your energy, clearing out the bad vibes, and filling you up with good ones. It's a bit like hitting the reset button on your inner peace and harmony.   Breathwork Imagine breathwork as a refreshing breeze for your soul. 🌬️✨ It's like giving your lungs a spa day, where each breath is a gentle massage that revitalizes your entire being. Picture this: You're sitting comfortably, eyes closed, and you start to breathe deeply and rhythmically, as you listen to the guided instructions. It's like you're inviting waves of calm and clarity to wash over you. 🌊✨ With each inhale, you're drawing in fresh, positive energy, and with each exhale, you're releasing stress and tension. It's like your breath is a magical broom sweeping away the cobwebs of your mind. Breathwork is all about harnessing the power of your breath to balance your energy, clear out the mental clutter, and fill you up with a sense of peace and vitality.   Angel Cards Imagine angel cards as celestial postcards from your guardian angels. 🌟✨ Each card is like a little message from the universe, delivered with love and guidance. Picture this: You're sitting down with a deck of beautifully illustrated cards, each one adorned with angelic figures and symbols. As you shuffle the deck, it's like you're dialing up the heavenly hotline for some divine advice. 📞👼 When you draw a card, it's like your angels are whispering sweet nothings in your ear, offering insights and encouragement. Maybe they're telling you to trust your intuition, embrace your inner strength, or simply reminding you that you're loved and supported. It's like getting a pep talk from your celestial cheerleaders. 🎉 Angel cards are all about connecting with your higher self and the spiritual realm, helping you navigate life's twists and turns with a little extra sparkle. ********************************** If you have any thoughts on our episode today, or have magical practices you’d like to know more about, share with us on Instagram at butfirstletswoo, or through our website at butfirstletswoo.com. S1-E8: Twinning Tarot cards - The subtle differences of tarot cards

At first glance, there are some tarot cards that can seem to have almost indistinguishable meanings, so similar in fact, that they seem like twins! Today, we’ve each selected 3 pairs of twinning tarot cards that we find can be difficult to distinguish during readings. Come along with us as we dive deep into the meanings and interpretations of these cards to help identify the individual nuances. For decks, Tabitha used the Modern Love Tarot  and chose the following card pairs: 2 of Pentacles and Temperance Empress and Queen of Pentacles The Lovers and the 2 of Cups And Willow used both the Seventh Sphere and the Modern Witch Tarot decks and chose the following card pairs: High Priestess and the Hierophant (sometimes called the High Priest) Judgement and Justice Wheel of fortune and the World As always we love hearing from you! If there are any twinning tarot cards that you find have similar meanings that we didn’t cover, share with us on our instagram at butfirstletswoo, or through our website at butfirstletswoo.com.
