To everything there is a season, and no matter what season you find yourself in, God is with you. The Christian life is filled with both mountain-top moments and valley experiences. One day you may feel like you are on the mountain, and the next you may find yourself walking through a valley. But the valley is not the end of your story. In this message, we explore the different reasons we may find ourselves in a valley. Sometimes the valley is the result of our own decisions, pride, or stepping outside of God’s will. Sometimes others may contribute to the circumstances we face, just as Joseph’s brothers placed him in a pit. And sometimes, the valley is simply a part of living in a fallen world. Not every valley is the result of something we did or a spiritual attack. Sometimes life simply happens. Regardless of how you got there, God is with you in the valley. When we recognize our mistakes and turn back to God, He is already there to help us. Even when we have to walk through natural consequences, we can be spiritually restored and positioned in His will. This season is not a time to compare your journey with someone else’s. Everyone experiences valleys, and every season has a purpose. God can use the valley to develop you, strengthen you, and give you the flavor needed to be the salt of the earth. In this Wednesday night class on church hurt, Pastor Shelby Crump shares a powerful message on restoration and the choices we make to reach it. We have to be willing to let the Holy Ghost heal. When we experience hurt, our natural response often leads us in the wrong direction, but healing begins when we choose differently. Church hurt is a spiritual issue, and restoration is also spiritual. In this teaching, he walks through the fruit that comes from hurt and shows how, by intentionally sowing the opposite with restoration in mind, we can begin to produce a new kind of fruit. What we sow matters. The seeds we plant will always become the fruit we see.
