    The benefits of showing love

Scripture: Matt 18:23-35.It is evident from the scripture we read that love is a product of the heart. An iron heart cannot show forth kindness, a stony heart cannot show forth mercy. A Christian's love for God and his neighbour should not be seasonal, I mean when things are going well, even when times are tough believers should remain in love towards God and their neighbour. James 2:13.There are certain benefits that goes with a heart that is loving towards God and his neighbour.1. Spiritual growth 2. Freedom from inward and outward captivity (bitterness)3. Healthy life4. Freedom from fear5. You give thanks well.*Romans 13:8*_“Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.”_*Galatians 5:14*_“For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”_*Matthew 22:39-40*_“And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”_*John 13:34*_“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”_*1 Peter 4:8*_“Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.”_*1 John 4:7*_“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”_*James 2:8*_“If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself,’ you are doing well.”_*Leviticus 19:18*_“You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.”_*Colossians 3:14*_“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”_*Proverbs 10:12*_“Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.”_Spread love!Prayer Father, I receive grace to maintain a life of love towards you and my neighbour no matter the circumstances am face with, in Jesus name.

Put on the character of the new man

Topic: Put on the character of the new manThe disciples of Jesus were first called Christians in Antioch - Acts 11:26. Even pagans and idol worshippers knew who Christ followers were without being told. Their character and behaviour single them out of the crowd. Now we are born again children of God there are certain attitude and behaviour will must strive to attain by all means possible so that our Christian profession will not become a child, because there are many in the body of Christ today who profess to be Christians but their character does not look like his. Ephesians 5:1-5, 1Jh 2:15-17.What are the characteristics of of the new man?1. Gal. 5:22-23.2. 2Pet 1:4-9.3. Col 3:10-15.

    The Lord is my Shepherd

Psalm 23:1(AMP) The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.Psalm 23:2(AMP) He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. [Rev. 7:17.]Psalm 23:3(AMP) He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him–not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake.Psalm 23:4(AMP) Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.Psalm 23:5(AMP) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.Psalm 23:6(AMP) Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. Psalm 23: 1 - 6.

    Church worker discipline

What is discipline? It means to train someone by instruction and practice. A controlled behaviour; self-control. To punish someone in order to regain control.Every vehicle has a control steering in order to maintain a smooth ride and keep on track. There is no movement for any vehicle that does not have a control steering. Prov 15:10; 1Cor 9:27.The control steering of every church worker is call discipline and self-control, you cannot excel in your walk with God if you lack this critical aspect of the Christian life. Discipline is learned is not a gift, you have to cultivate it yourself. One of the greatest judges that lived in Israel was Samson, but he missed it because of lack of self-discipline (Judges 13, 14, 15 and 16). When people refuse or resist discipline, they will disrespect authority when they ought to be disciples. Discipline instill correction, when correction are taken brings growth physically and spiritually. Prov 3:11-12.Discipline will teach you when to speak and when to remain silent. Discipline is the foundation to your Christianity as a church worker. Discipline will teach you how to live in obedience towards God and man and how to maintain a balance and controlled lifestyle as a church worker. Discipline is everything to a church worker.Jesus lived a controlled life when he was on earth, his disciples were not different either, but maintain the cause of their master even after he has left them.Hophine and Phinehas the sons of Eli the priest died before their time because ofm indiscipline. There is no movement with God without discipline. Please take note of this; discipline is not a once and for all thing, it is progressive and you must continue in it till you leave this world.HOW DO I MAINTAIN A LIFE OF DISCIPLINE AS A CHURCH WORKER?1. Be deliberated about it. 2. Ask for the help of the Holy Spirit. Jh 14:263. Study your Bible everyday. Ps 1:1-34. Carefully choose who should become your friend. 1Cor. 15:33.May the Lord give us a heart that is willing to accept instructions and learning in discipline in Jesus name. Amen.
