EP4: Being You(ng) (Voices of France)
In this episode of the Feel’in @Live project podcast on well-being, Tim and Gabin share their views on generational responsibility and the challenges ahead. The issues that matter most to them are climate change and the international political situation. While they feel that major decisions lie in the hands of governments and large industries, they try to contribute at their own scale—by raising awareness within their circles, sharing information, and reducing their personal carbon footprint. They express a certain fatalism, acknowledging that their generation will have to face the consequences of past choices, but without placing blame on earlier generations. As future engineers—or simply as young people from different backgrounds—they believe their generation will need to find solutions to build a better world. They see social media as a powerful tool for change, especially if it is used to spread positive messages and good practices from around the world. Encouraging hope rather than fear, and promoting active participation—through voting, for example—could help young people feel more empowered. They conclude with a call for more visibility of positive initiatives, both in education and in politics, to support their generation in shaping the future.

EP3: Recources and Support (Voices of France)
In this Feel’in @Live episode on health resources and mental well-being, three guests shared their perspectives: Tim and Gabin, two students, and Ophélie, the school nurse at INSA.Tim knows he can find resources online or seek support within his school, where he could be referred to a specialist if needed. Still, both he and Gabin admitted they often don’t feel “legitimate” enough to ask for help—believing others may struggle more, or considering stress as just a normal part of life.Ophélie highlighted that many students feel the same way, yet her office welcomes everyone. Sometimes, simply being listened to is enough, while in other cases students are referred to psychologists, sophrologists, or other professionals. She also described several initiatives at INSA: the “well-being week” held twice a year with workshops on massage, art therapy, sleep, and stress management; a monthly café to discuss health topics; and a new relaxation room with massage chairs and wellness equipment, which Tim found very helpful to recharge. At the national level, mental health was declared a major cause in France in 2025, with initiatives like Mon soutien psy, offering young people up to 12 free sessions with a psychologist. For improvements, Tim and Gabin suggested addressing the root causes of student stress, such as heavy schedules, and encouraging a cultural shift so that consulting a mental health professional is not seen as negative. Ophélie concluded by mentioning that the next “well-being week” will include new workshops inspired by feedback from students and staff participating in the Feel’in @Live project.

EP1: The culture of productivity (Voices of France)
In this podcast, three students from INSA Rouen Normandie, a public engineering school in Normandy, share their thoughts on the culture of productivity. They emphasize the lack of personal time in their daily lives and the importance of truly dedicating moments to themselves. While socializing with friends or engaging in activities is valuable, it doesn’t always provide the personal space needed to reflect or unwind, as these moments are often planned and scheduled. To manage their workload and well-being, they suggest establishing a daily routine with set boundaries, such as a curfew for studying, to limit homework time and create space for self-care. They highlight that stress is an inherent part of adulthood, stemming from responsibilities, academic pressure, social expectations, and financial concerns. Their key advice is to strive for balance—acknowledging life's complexities while focusing on what needs to be done without becoming consumed by constant to-do lists.
