We were privileged to have guests from The Beehive Project visit us on Sunday to share something of the work they do in Kenya. The Beehive is a mission that we support and such a powerful work of God in Kenya.John Eldridge then challenged us to look at what we have in our hands to use for God, focusing on Shamgar from Judges 3.31 and Judges 5:6.

By God’s mercies, we are seen as holy and acceptable. To receive transformation, we have to serve in *relationship* with God, and not just as part of a checklist. Where does our devotion lie? Are we more devoted to our anxieties and fears, than we are to God? Jesus can be in them with us, but He is not consumed by them. What you devote yourselves to is what you will become. When God grants us peace, it is unlike anything that the world knows as peace. In Romans 5, Paul communicates this work of Jesus wherever he goes. It's good news and he wants to spread it! If God gives you something, will you hold onto it or will you share it? Adam and Eve had no knowledge, no concept of good and evil, they simply followed God wherever he led them. But now God has provided a way to restore that right relationship by Jesus becoming the place (the mercy seat) where sin is atoned for.

Did you know that God blesses you in order that you might bless others? Do the choices we make determine how God will bless us? As this series draws to a close, Andrew brings us a message that seeks to examine the character of those to whom God passes the baton; looking primarily at Paul & Timothy and Joshua & Caleb. As a church family, are we aligned with God's direction? "A shepherd boy come good" is one of the ways Adrian describes God's anointing of David - from shepherd to king. God saw things in David that no one else saw. So what is it that God see's in you and me, that He's calling each of us to walk in and be at divine peace with? If God has something for you, are you going to step forward or stay exactly where you are? How will you use the gifts that God has given you? A flavour of life at Fields Church. We are entering a period of 2 weeks of fasting and praying in this time of leadership transition. We had visitors from the Beehive in Kenya and we had members share of their time in Kenya, where 70-80% of people go to church but need nurturing because they are young Christians, in training new life group leaders.
