(1:43) Question of the Day: Are you a night owl or a morning person?(8:02) Off Topic Topic: Why do some people say Holy Ghost and other people say Holy Spirit?Discussion & Member Questions:1. (14:50) One of the hardest things in Scripture to content with for a woman can be the lesser value women are afforded, especially when a dollar amount is explicitly stated in Leviticus. This is only extenuated by New Testament statements that refer to women as weaker vessels or easily deceived. Where can we see God’s heart for women the way we see it for the poor or lowly, in a world that reduces women (or people, for that matter) to property of unequal value?2. (27:22) Let’s recap what we covered on Sunday just to remind everyone what it was about3. (30:39) Could you expound on the focus on this series and what the bumper means?(36:58) Kevin's Sabbatical4. Thank you so much!(30:08) How do you fight the feeling that you’re being lazy while observing the Sabbath?(40:56) Can we talk more about gleaning? What are some ways that we can live out this principle in our lives?(48:51) What were the things you weren't able to talk about on Sunday?(58:13) Celebration: Kid's Maundy Thursday Event

And as a non-believer, he does not understand why he needs to get the government involved in his relationship with his girlfriend. It’s so easy to think of Old Testament God as mean and the New Testament God as kind.(23:01) How can someone understand the priesthood of the believers if they are not very familiar with priests?(26:43) Because God is our mediator, should we pray to Jesus? Or God the Father? Or does it matter?(27:48) What did the priests “do” that actually mediated between God and the Israelites?(31:07) Kevin, you asked “Where do you take God too lightly?” - In what ways do you see that we can be too casual in our reverence to God today?(44:22) How should viewing ourselves as mediators between God’s love and grace and the world change the way we live day to day?(49:09) Celebration: Men's Breakfast

It seems like the altar represents earth, the fire is transformation, and the smoke is ascension to heaven with its pleasing aroma. Is this line of thinking off base? Thanks.(29:10) Why would God find pleasure in something dying?(34:49) What does it actually look like to be “all in” with God in daily life? In episode 47, Kevin mentioned how detrimental to our health and the pace of American life is. How can we practically slow down and keep a more reasonable pace when there is so much pressure for hustle?(27:58) Thanks for not being scared of Leviticus. It is not a boring book of Scripture & so many ignore it! & I grew up in a church that went through Leviticus often. Why do you think some people avoid it?(33:30) Do you have any tips or advice on the best way for the church to read along as we go through the series?(36:59) I’ve always heard of people using Scripture out of context and try to understand the context when I’m reading my Bible and applying it to life. So it seems Leviticus was written to the Jewish people. How do we make the connections that what was said to them is for us today? Is it simply all of the Bible is for everyone? & For those who feel like this is just old covenant, how is it still applicable today?(46:04) Do you think the Angel of the Lord in the Old Testament is a pre-incarnate Jesus or something else? (A lot of red dots)(45:21) Why is it that there were red dots in the U.S. and other well-developed countries? I often think of unreached people groups as undeveloped areas.(46:06) Could you talk about the 10/40 initiative and what you intend to use the $10.40 given regularly for?(52:46) We had to cut the livestream at the end because of using names and details that are too sensitive to share. I’m sure this changes week to week, but do you feel like you second sermon is easier to deliver or gets better because it’s the 2nd time you’re doing it or are there times where 1st service goes so well it’s hard to top? I think back to Steve’s interesting cross illustration on the white board as an example lol(27:34) Let’s recap what we covered on Sunday just to remind everyone what it was about(30:00) The sermon series focusing on waiting prompted me to ask the question…if I am truly waiting, and longing for the Christ’s return. I find I’m hesitant to long for His return because my children haven’t professed faith yet. I’ve believed that at the “rapture” my husband and I will be taken and my children left behind if it happens before they believe. (35:25) How does fearing the Lord differ from being afraid of him?(40:34) The Bible says that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. I fully believe that, but inside a church family, it can still be hard to say no. Sometimes there’s a guilt or pressure to always show up, serve, volunteer, etc. Why would I still feel that tension even when we know our value to God doesn’t depend on what we do?(31:39) On Sunday, we talked about how we can’t “do anything” to save ourselves or overcome the flesh. But Scripture also gives us active commands like deny yourself, take up your cross, bear the fruit of the Spirit, put on the armor of God, be holy as I am holy, etc. So what part do we play in this? What responsibility do we have in obedience when the power comes from God, not us? (43:12) Steve, you shared about struggling with His power. There could be an assumption that then it should be easy to fight sin, but we still struggle in our flesh. So what does that really look like while walking in the spirit?(49:33) Celebration: Chapel Kids Team & Volunteers

(25:32) More than marriage, you both discussed how all of our human relationships are broken, but Jesus brings restoration. What about the people listening who are struggling with a broken connection that isn’t their marriage…can you speak to the hope of that restoration as well? (30:36) If you have spent 2 minutes being married, you’ve probably realized that you are two different people who were raised different ways…How does your upbringing or maybe even the generation you were born into affect your relationships or your marriage? (35:04) What if my spouse thinks we’re fine? How do I approach a conversation with them about our marriage without hurting them? (38:46) What are some practical tips you have for people who feel like they and their spouse are missing each other and they’re not really doing life together every day(41:34) Within marriage, people typically only think of intimacy as physical intimacy. You broadened it to intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical. Can we quickly go through each of the 5 types and talk about 2 things…What resources do you have for each of them? A starting point if this is an area their marriage is struggling. (01:00:00) Conclusion/Celebration: What is something we can celebrate? Well, That’s all for this episode!
