S2/E5: How Emotions Can Be Stored Within the Body

💭 Have you ever thought about where you store emotions in your body? If you're like me (Sasha!), then every ounce of stress is held in your shoulders and upper back. Or maybe, also like me, your osteopath and/or acupuncturist has to repeatedly remind you to relax your body during treatment. In today's episode I chat with the team (Gen, Clarisse, Carolyn and Robin!) about how emotions can show up physically within the body in many different ways. It's different for everyone but there are some commonalities, too. 🤩 Bonus! I wasn't prepared enough beforehand but you'll hear a male voice in today's episode... Meet Robin! He's our newest Manual Osteopathic Practitioner and is joining us from France. If you see him in the clinic, give him a big welcome and maybe a Kingston recommendation! He's been here for a few weeks, so the city is his oyster!

S2/E4: Intro to Acupuncture: Meet Carolyn!

In Episode 2 we chatted with some of our Osteopaths about the practice and some commonly asked questions - Today is the same kind of thing but with our Acupuncturist Carolyn! We cover what to do and expect before, during, and after treatment; Who is a good (or bad!) candidate for acupuncture; and some common myths and misconceptions about the modality. It was so fun getting to chat with her for this episode, so I really hope you feel the same way and that it inspires you to try acupuncture if you haven't before! ☀️

S2/E3: FCHN Origin Story: Meet Geneviève!

Sasha here -- I've been waiting for this one! 🎈 To celebrate the 12th year of Full Circle Health Network being a business (and the 8th year being located at the Woolen Mill), I interviewed Geneviève Zizzo, clinic owner and manual osteopathic practitioner here at FCHN. She tells us the story of how Full Circle came to be (and it wasn't a lifelong dream ... until it was!), what's next for FCHN and everything in between!

S2/E2: Osteo 101 (Meet Our Practitioners!)

Osteo 101 🥼 Have you ever wondered, "What does an Osteopath do?" "What even IS Osteopathy?" "What should I expect during and after an appointment?" "Who should try Osteopathy?" In this episode you're introduced to some of Full Circle's osteopathic practitioners, and they answer some frequently asked questions by the public and also some by yours truly, Sasha (new host!). Topics range from some of the history of Osteo, to an actual definition of what it is, to how long our appointments can be, all the way to Osteo for dogs and horses!

Season 2, Episode 1: Meet Sasha!

Welcome back everybody! ✨ Season 2 of Healing Better is off to a great start with this first episode. It's short and sweet, while still packed with information. If you're new to the holistic/alternative medicine scene, have never been to an Osteopath before, or have and still have questions about the practice, this season is for YOU!  This episode starts with an introduction to new host Sasha, her passions and interests, and her background (Spoiler alert: She has NO medical background!). She then gives some insight into her hopes and plans for the future of Season 2.  Thanks for all your support during and since the first season, we're way too excited to be back for round two and have so much in store. Stay tuned! PS: Happy 1st Birthday to Healing Better on June 7th! 💖
