A weight loss mindset
This week I’m digging into what a weight loss mindset is, and isn’t! Set yourself up for success by setting realistic goals, understanding that sustainable weight loss takes time, and that you don’t need to be perfect 100% of the time to see results.

What I Had to Unlearn

14. More Questions Answered
This week I'm answering more listener questions! Listen in as I explain why I stayed as long as I did, how I lived off of my meager earnings, and what I miss about Beachbody. 13. Bad Behavior
One of the most prominent aspects of MLMs is the bad behavior of some of their reps. Certainly not all, but many people involved with MLMs engage in making false health or income claims, aggressive recruiting tactics, gaslighting, and worse. In this episode I'll highlight some examples of this bad behavior and share some that I regrettably engaged in myself.

12. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Social media was a big part of my "job" when I was a Beachbody coach. We were encouraged to share about the products and programs, the lifestyle, and the benefits of coaching. In addition to that, we were told to share as much as we could about our families and personal lives so others could relate to us...but at what cost? In this episode, I break down the social media tactics we were encouraged to use along with the impact it had on me and my family.

11. MLM vs. J-O-B
MLMs love to villify the corporate world, but often their claims are inaccurate or outright lies. Having worked in both settings, this week I'm comparing what it's like working in an MLM to having a corporate job. Paid travel, paid time off, and respect for one's time are just some of the perks I've found in working a corporate job, while MLMs offer none of that. Is having a boss really that terrible? Join me for this episode and decide for yourself.

10. Help! My loved one joined an MLM!
Someone you love has joined an MLM, and they’re in deep. What do you do? How can you help them to see how destructive this can be to their finances, relationships, and overall wellbeing? There’s no right answer to this, but I have some ideas based on my own experiences. In this episode, I’ll break down the process of entanglement in an MLM, what it’s like to leave, and how you can support your loved one without supporting the MLM.

8. Diet culture and Beachbody
This is a very large topic, so this episode merely scratches the surface. Diet culture, food shaming, and judgement we’re pervasive while I was with Beachbody. I’ll dig into my own experience and share my thoughts on the recent company rebrand that misses the mark when it comes to body positivity.

7. The language of MLM
"Link arms with me!" "Fire your boss!" "Invest in yourself!" You;ve probably heard phrases like this or seen them posted by well-meaning (or maybe not so well-meaning) friends on social media. MLM has it's own way of phrasing things, and it's all in the name of manipulation to keep its followers engaged and loyal. This week's episode digs into many of the common phrases and gives some context to what they really mean.

3. My Story - Part III
When the pandemic hit in spring of 2020, I became uncomfortable with selling products and recruiting others onto my team. Despite people losing their jobs, getting sick, and dealing with the reality of being locked down, I was encouraged to "lean in" because people needed what we had to offer. That was the beginning of my end with Beachbody.
