Welcome! We are Elizabeth Hochster and Shelley McInroy. Please join us as we begin our exploratory discussion series on self-love and awareness. We will introduce ourselves here, how we came to be on this path: What is self-love? Each of us deserves to have a joyful life, a happy life, and to feel loved. Whether you are struggling with life transitions, anxiety, worry, self-esteem, loneliness, fear or you are simply struggling to find satisfaction and happiness, we want to help. Often, we don't realize that what is happening is in large part due to our own behaviors and the messages we send out to the world. Sometimes we simply have to learn self-love and self-compassion, and self-care.     Welcome to Part 3 of our series on self-love and awareness. Today, we focus specifically on the concept of self-love. Living a joyful life cannot be truly possible if we do not care for and love ourselves.     More and more people are suffering today from loneliness and anxiety. The numbers of people struggling has increased since March of 2020 when the world began to face COVID-19. It's frightening and needs to be discussed. What are loneliness and anxiety? Let's define them, explore them, and talk about strategies we can use to support ourselves, improve our perspectives and find a healthier and more positive mindset - and learn about overcoming these difficult societal concerns.
