    Christian Manifesto ~ Going National/International

    This last Monday I posted the last article on the 18-part series: Christian Manifesto ~ God’s Civil Mandate. I don’t know of any Christian today that has specifically addressed this subject, yet there are far more verses in both the Old and New Testament addressing this subject than the subjects of baptism and the Lord’s Supper put together. In all the Bible God has ordained only three institutions: Family, Church, and State/Government. God did not institution any one of His institutions to be unholy nor to be led by non-Christians.The book of Genesis is written only in the context of the Family institution or family dynasties. From Acts to the end of the Bible it is primarily giving instructions regarding the Church, though it has quite a number of references on the Family and State institutions. All the rest of the Bible, the majority of the Bible (80%), gives instruction for the State/Government institution. The primary State addressed is Israel, however, ALL the prophets admonish Gentile nations to also honor and obey God and His Law. The book of Psalms alone has over 100 verses addressing all other nations in the world to also honor and obey God and His Law.God did NOT write 80% of His Word in the context and instruction of how State/Government should run to only all be ignored today! Remember, all God’s Law starts with the Ten Commandments. Read about the Apostle Paul to know about the church and what God’s people and spiritual leaders are to do today. But read about King David to know about State/Government and what God’s people and civil leaders are to do today.Don’t ever complain about our nation if you don’t ever take the time to read ONE book (the only one I know of) about how God mandates His civil Law for nations and His people to make Christian nations under His civil Law and Jesus honored as King of kings.     17: God’s Strategy For Civil Conquest 7 of 7 - CITY

    God gave Moses and His people a Great Commission in the Old Testament – to physically conquer all the nations of Canaan (Joshua 1:1-9). God (Jesus) gave His people a Great Commission in the New Testament – to spiritually conquer all nations (Matt. 28:18-20).Both Great Commissions were humanly impossible unless God had not said with both Commissions: “I will be with you!” The ultimate goal for both Great Commissions was virtually the same:* The ultimate goal of the Great Commission in the Old Testament was for God to be King (1 Sam. 8:7).* The ultimate goal for the Great Commission in the New Testament was for God to be King – King Jesus (1 Tim. 1:17).In the Old Testament God’s people made progress in their Great Commission but they did not fulfill conquering all Canaan. There were parts of Canaan that they never conquered. With Jesus’s Great Commission, since the time of Christ, there have been some city-states and nations that have been true Christian nations. This was especially true in the first couple centuries of America’s history and some nations in Europe about that time, and some other nations in even earlier centuries.Even though most cities or nations today may not be Christian, that does not mean that cannot happen today. What if Martin Luther had thought that in Germany? Or John Calvin in Geneva? Or Huldrych Zwingli in Zurich? Or John Knox in Scotland? Or John Carver in Plymouth Colony? Or John Winthrop in Boston? Or countless others before or after these Christian leaders – they all established Christian city-states or nation-states.All these Christian leaders had one thing in common - they followed all of God’s 7 biblical strategies for their successful civil conquests, including this last strategy - God’s “city strategy.” We see this city strategy in both the Old and New Testament. We’ll look at it first in the New Testament.New Testament – City StrategyThe New Testament Apostolic strategy was NOT to focus on rural areas but reading through Acts and the Epistles you see they only focused on cities. Building God’s spiritual army in a city, the Word inevitably spread to all the rural areas.In Jesus’s Great Commission of Acts 1:8, Jesus made it clear that His disciples were to initially focus on a single city, Jerusalem, before they targeted other cities in their nation or world (Acts 5:28):“They filled all Jerusalem with their teaching!”The Apostle Paul clearly had a strategic city strategy. On his first missionary journey he never spent any time in rural areas but targeted four cities: Pisidian Antioch, Iconium, Lystra, and Derbe. In these towns he established committed congregations and appointed their leaders. In time they impacted their nation Galatia, which Paul later wrote to all of them in the Book of Galatians.All of Paul’s letters were written to major strategic cities: Rome, Corinth, Ephesus, Philippi, Colossi, and Thessalonica. We see biblically and historically that all the Apostles and New Testament Christians focused on cities, one city at a time, eventually “turning the world upside down” (Acts 17:6).In centuries past, as we saw in early America and with the European Christian Reformers, many cities were formed or reformed to be Christian cities ruled by Christian rulers under King Jesus and God’s Law. They changed nations by focusing on and changing one city at a time. This is the only way to fulfill Jesus’s Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20).They conquered cities with “the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” (Eph. 6:17). The Apostle Paul said (2 Cor. 10:2-6):“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.”When Christians gain civil authority - they then are mandated to use the physical “sword” to maintain God’s righteous civil Law (Rom. 13:4):“For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servant, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.”In most every century since the time of Christ we can find Christians that took over one city at a time becoming city-states or nation-states ruled by Christians under King Jesus and God’s Law. This was especially prevalent in the western world in Europe and America from the beginning of the 16th century up through the 18th century. This can and would be done in any city today … whenever a critical mass of Christians in any city would mobilize to take over their city for King Jesus and His Law-Word.Old Testament – City StrategyGod’s Great Commission for His people in the Old Testament was for them to physically conquer the nation of Canaan. When they stepped out in faith to obey God, He always gave them victory. But there is only verse in the Old Testament where God explained His strategy for His people to be able to take over the whole nation - capture the nation “little by little” - one city at a time (Ex. 23:29-30):“I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land.”Joshua had an enormous army for that time in history - a 600,000-man army. The average population of Canaanite towns at that time was under 10,000, including women and children. Joshua could have thought, I’ll spread my army out along the western front and easily conquer many towns all at the same time. But that was not God’s strategy.Joshua followed God’s strategy - “little by little” – attacking only one town until he had fully conquered it. The first town Joshua attacked was Jericho. It only had a population of about 3,000 people! After Joshua had conquered Jericho, he then went to the next adjacent town of Ai, a town under 10,000 population.After conquering Ai, Joshua continued following God’s “little by little,” one city at a time strategy. Joshua conquered each town, one at a time: Makkedah, then Libnah, then Lachish, then Eglon, then Hebron, then Debir, then the city of Hazor. Joshua never advanced until he had fully completed the mission for each town - God’s one city strategy.Joshua used the physical sword to conquer, and Paul used the “sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God” to conquer. But they both focused on completing their mission in one city at a time to conquer a nation.Christian Towns Taken Over By Non-ChristiansOriginally in America, it was primarily individual church congregations that established Christian towns with only Christians being allowed to be their civil rulers. Their civil pledges varied in wording, but all were based on Christianity – “I believe the Old and New Testament … the gospel … to advance Christianity and the Kingdom of God,” etc.But in 1788 the Federal Constitution was ratified eliminating the Christian religious test requirement for the federal civil rulers. Previously non-Christians could live and be blessed living under God’s Law in the Christian towns and colonies, but they were not allowed to vote or be civil rulers, as God’s Law required (Deut. 17:15):“Be sure to select as king the man the Lord your God chooses. You must appoint a fellow Israelite; he may not be a foreigner.”“Israelites” were the people of God, “foreigners” were not unless they converted to believe in the Lord God of the Israelites as Ruth did in the Book of Ruth (Ruth 1:16). The New Testament reaffirms this law (2 Cor. 6:14-15):“Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?”But throughout the 19th, century States began to ignore and then finally remove the Christian religious test from their State Constitutions, thereby allowing non-Christians to vote and be civil their leaders. However, for years this did not make much difference in our cities or nation - because the vast majority of the population already embraced Christianity and our society had been overwhelmingly Christian in culture.But in the 19th century with the secularization of the Federal Constitution and then the secularizing of the State Constitutions, non-Christians and unrighteous men and women began to slowly fill the ranks of our civil leadership. In addition, by the end of the 19th century and for the first time in history - Christians began abdicating their Christian civil mandate and mass media mandate, thus losing media dominance. In the 20th century non-Christians increased their unrighteous influence through their mass media dominance.Originally Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and 99 of the first 100 universities were all dedicated in and for Christianity. For example, the original motto for Harvard University was Veritas Christo et Ecclesiae, which translated from Latin to “Truth for Christ and the Church”. But by the 20th century, virtually all universities had long been in moral freefall. And before the end of the 20th century, universities were and are the bastion of open anti-Christian indoctrination and centers for anti-Christian movements.With the universities and mass media’s 24/7 influence, they are indoctrinating Christians and non-Christians alike on every area of life, far more than churches can in a 30-minute puff sermon once a week. Secularists have finally even brainwashed pastors and Christians to think - it is only “right” to give non-Christians, those who reject or even hate Christ, the right to vote and rule over Christian! What an amazing indoctrination of even Christians. The Apostle Paul said:“Don’t you know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?”Paul wrote this verse to the church in Corinth and again to all the churches in Galatia (1Cor. 5:6; Gal. 5:9). Did you know Paul was quoting from the Old Testament in Hosea 7:4? And the context was referring to unrighteous civil rulers! It is the same for church or government – if you let a little unrighteousness, even one unrighteous person to be in the church or government – in time it will “leaven the whole lump” of church or government!Jesus warned not only about the unrighteous “leaven” of the religious leaders but also against the unrighteous “leaven” of civil rulers (Mark 8:15):“Jesus warned them, ‘Watch out! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of King Herod.’”God’s Law, Jesus, and Paul – all warned against non-believers being in government!From the time of Christ until the19th century, most Christians knew it was unbiblical to have non-Christians as their civil rulers. They knew that was in direct violation to God and His Law. They viewed the New Testament epistles primarily to be instructions for the church and individuals and God’s Law primarily to be the instructions for the government and individuals.They knew 80% of the bible (Exodus up to Acts) was written in the context of God’s Law - instructing how Israel and all other nations should live under God and His Law. Israel was to be the model for other nations. But contrary to what many Christians think today, God’s Law was NOT just for Israel!There are over 100 verses in the book of Psalms alone that reference all “nations” and the “world” to honor God and His Law! All the prophets have major portions of their books addressing other nations and the books of Jonah, Nahum, and Obadiah were written exclusively for other Gentile nations!If Christians don’t understand that God’s Law is to be our civil law today and understand it quickly, they will totally lose the nation that their Christian forefathers established. And for the foolish Christian who says all God’s moral Law is not to be our city or national law for today, then the Ten Commandments (the preamble for all God’s Law) are not for today. That would leave only man’s opinion for what is moral law for today. Therefore, a Hitler could have just as much right to his legal opinion as that foolish Christian’s opinion, unless God’s Law is supreme.* David said God’s Law is “forever” (Ps. 119:44, 89, 111, 152, 160).* Jesus said God’s Law is “until heaven and earth pass away” (Matt. 5:17-19).Every early American town was a Christian town. Today every American town has been taken over by non-Christians or carnal Christians ruling it as secular non-Christians. God’s Law, the Bible is out. King Jesus is out.What can we do?First: There must be one church or a critical mass of Christians in one town today with committed biblical conviction:* That Jesus truly has “all authority in heaven and on earth!”* That Jesus truly is “King of kings” to rule through His people.* That “God’s Law” is truly to be the only civil law for their town.Second: Since all our towns today are secular and many in open defilement of God’s Law and King Jesus, a critical mass of Christians in some town must get God’s heart and vision to Christianize their town. Jesus’s Great Commission did not say to disciple or teach believers or the church, but for the church and disciples to - disciple and teach the nation (Matt. 28:19). But to disciple a nation it starts with God’s “little by little” city-by-city strategy. A critical mass of Christians must unite, strategize, and mobilize in their one town to work in taking over the civil leadership for the Kingdom of God. Work to have Jesus’s Kingdom take over you town. Have wise Christians run and be supported in getting into these civil leadership positions:* Mayor* City council (need majority)* Chief of Police* City Attorney* School board (need majority)Controlling even the first two positions a town could begin to be transformed for the Kingdom of God if courageous God-fearing Christian are in these civil leadership positions. Most towns have far more than enough Christians to accomplish this mission! Often times in local elections a mobilized church of less than one 100 could determine the outcome. “Don’t be a hearing only but also a doer.” If only one town became a truly Christian town being ruled according to God’s Law, that town would spark a Christian fire for other Christians to rise up and do the same across the state and nation.Sadly, the best “religious zealot” models we have today for taking over cities in defying federal laws and replacing them with their own immoral policies and laws are the Marxists/Leftists. They call their cities “Sanctuary Cities.” What an enduring name though in practice destructive and really demonic. Did you know this emerged from a religious movement in 1982 when Leftist churches defied cooperating with our federal government and these churches started sheltering illegal refugees. Thereafter their mayors and cities councils continued to establish more anti-Christian laws. Today these autonomous “Sanctuary Cities” have multiplied into being over 200 cities in the United State! They are ruled by Satan and his agents.Where is even ONE openly Christian city in America today! Is there not even ONE Christian town today defiling federal immoral laws and establishing God’s moral Law! Sooner or later Christians may need to have their own town or enclave even for their own freedom and safety, much less for God’s glory! And thousands of Christians would flock to any town in the United States today that became a Christian Sanctuary city!God has said (Ezekiel 22:30):“I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land.”The Bible says (Prov. 21:22; Ps. 94:16):“The wise conquer the city of the strong.”“Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?”Who will rise up today? As said - If not now, when? If not you, who? Of course all this will not be easy, in fact it will be impossible in our own strength.     16: God’s Strategy For Civil Conquest 6 of 7 - PUBLIC

    Christians must go public to impact any nation for the Kingdom of God. Remaining inside a church building will never turn any city upside down for Christ. It never has and it never will.Throughout history there have been many public Christian uprisings. Without Christians causing righteous public uprising, there will be no Christian nation, and no fulfilling of Jesus’s Great Commission to teach and disciple any nation!In the 16th century, Protestant Christians came to be known by their public protests and uprisings. The very word “protestant” came from the word “protest!” The Protestant Christian Reformers that turned European nations upside down for Christ, establishing freedom and Protestant Christian cities and nations, publicly protested so much that they were eventually just called “Protestants!”Jesus Himself was a one-Man public protester! The first time that Jesus went to the capital city, Jerusalem, He went straight to the public civic center, the temple (John 2:15):“Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and cattle, scattered the money changers’ coins over the floor, and turned over their tables!”Work at picturing this in your head if you can. I think most Christians would really question if this was the right way to win friends and influence people. But this is what Jesus did. Jesus went public His whole life. The last time Jesus went to Jerusalem, He went straight to the public center again (John 7:37):“On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, ‘Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!’”Picture this if you can and think about it - Jesus standing and shouting to the crowds! We need Christians today in every city going public wherever there are people, colleges, town centers, and with the zeal of Jesus crying out to the people (Rev. 22:17):“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ Let anyone who hears this say, ‘Come.’ Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life!”Is Jesus really to be our example?New Testament Christians Went PublicPublic Preaching:New Testament Christians publicly preached daily in the public centers of all the cities. Believers were nothing short of revolutionary in the Roman Empire. This was why the Christians were martyred by the thousands. But this is also why “they turned cities upside down” for Christ and eventually the whole Roman Empire.The first hour Peter got the Holy Spirit at Pancoast he publicly preached (Acts 2:14):“Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, ‘Listen carefully, all of you …’”Peter and John went to the public Colonnade to share the gospel. This time they saw a lame man healed (Acts 3:11-12):“All the people rushed out in amazement to Solomon’s Colonnade, where the man was holding tightly to Peter and John. Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd ...”When Peter and John were at the public center the next day (Acts 4:1-2):“While Peter and John were speaking to the people, they were confronted by the priests, the captain of the Temple guard, and some of the Sadducees …”Christian persecution was never from speaking in buildings but only because of speaking in public. All the apostles were arrested for disobeying the civil authorities for public speaking. But the Lord’s authority supersedes man’s authority. And the Lord told them to defy their civil authority when it comes to public preaching and to do it in the most populated area, the “temple courts” (Acts 5:18-20):“They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail. But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. ‘Go, stand in the temple courts,’ He said, ‘and tell the people all about this new life.’”All the apostles were arrested again for defying their civil authorities for again speaking publicly in the temple courts. They were whipped and finally released with the same civil order to stop doing what they were doing, but they never stopped (Acts 5:41-42):“The apostles left the high council rejoicing that God had counted them worthy to suffer disgrace for the name of Jesus. And every day, in the Temple courts and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.”When Paul was in Athens (Acts 17:17):“Paul went to the synagogue to reason with the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles, and he spoke daily in the public square to all that happened to be there.”All other spiritual leaders followed the examples of all the apostles and Paul. When Apollos whet to Achaia (Acts 18:28):“He powerfully refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.”Paul reminded all the Ephesian leaders of his example for them Acts 20:20:“I never shrank from telling you the truth, either publicly or in your homes.”New Testament Christians were preaching publicly wherever they went and because of that they were impacting cities everywhere they went (Acts 17:6):“The city authorities were shouting, ‘These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also!’”Public Baptizing:New Testament Christians publicly baptized all new followers of Jesus (Acts 2:41):“And those who believed Peter were baptized—about three thousand in all!”On the first day there was public preaching - there was public baptizing. And since people were being saved and added to their number daily, there were public baptisms happening every day (Acts 2:27):“The Lord added to their number daily.”Picture this happening in your city center. Imagine if all new Christians were getting baptized publicly in your city center fountain every day! Public baptisms alone would impact your city.The question is - do Christians want to follow the example of the New Testament or their traditions? Do you want the unrighteous to take over your city or do you want Christians to take over your city and rule your city under King Jesus and His Law? Historically, whoever goes public most influences society most and eventually rules the city.Even if public baptisms are outlawed by man’s tyrannical law, this is God’s order. Did you realize being baptized in the Roman Empire under the name of any authority or lord other than Caesar was a declaration of public treason and war? Under Roman law only Caesar was lord and god. Yet New Testament believers were publicly baptized in every city, and thousands lost their lives because of their public baptisms.In the book of Acts, there are four examples of baptisms describing exactly what was said to those being baptized. It’s interesting to note they did not baptize them - “In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” In every example they baptized them – “In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ” or “In the Name of Jesus Christ the Lord.” During biblical times, baptism was by way of immersion and was used by many various groups – Jewish rabbi groups, pagan groups, even some Roman generals had their whole army baptized in their general’s name to follow him into battle and death if necessary. Public baptisms at that time in history were not too uncommon. In whose name they were publicly baptized was their public declaration for whom they were going to follow for the rest of their life.The Father and the Holy Spirit are no less important to the Trinity, but each member of the Trinity had differing purposes. Only Jesus was physical, walked on this earth, showed us how to live, and always said – “Follow Me!” So during Bible times all believers were baptized in the Name of following the Lord Jesus Christ for the rest of their life. Jesus said to all His followers (Acts 1:8):“You will be My witnesses.”The Greek word for “witnesses” is “martys,” where we get the English word “martyrs.” And believers being publicly baptized to follow Jesus was their first testimony witness for Christ. And if it did not mean a physical martyr for Christ, it certainly meant the death of their old life as it was. This was the significance being baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ the Lord:* JESUS means Savior* CHRIST means Chosen of God* LORD means RulerIn the Roman Empire being baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ was a public declaration of insurrection against Ceasar and all non-Christian rulers. The Apostle Paul described himself and all his fellow spiritual leaders as the historically conquered warriors who walked in a procession down the Roman streets being condemned to die in the arena (1 Cor. 4:9-10):“For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like those condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to mankind. We are fools for Christ!”All the spiritual leaders were public - as were multitudes of Christians who were martyred after they were baptized! In some cities that were by the sea, Christians who were baptized would be tied up with a heavy rock and cast into the sea being mocked as the “baptism of drowning.”Paul wrote Timothy fearlessly declaring for all churches to know that Jesus alone is King (1Tim. 1:17, 6:15):“King eternal … King of kings!”Paul’s letter to Timothy during the Roman Empire was a public declaration of high treason! Really it is still high treason today in any country that does not honor Jesus as having “all authority … Supreme … King of kings and Lord of lords!”Do we fear going public today in honor of Jesus like New Testament Christians – having public baptisms in His Name and Authority? That would make Christians stronger and bolder - those being baptized and those witnessing it - not to speak of impacting cities!Public Praying:The Apostle Paul commanded men to pray in public outside of church (1 Tim. 2:8):“Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.”To pray “in every place” would have to include in public places as well. Public prayer could be dangerous in some instances. That may be one reason why it did not demand the same for women, though it did not forbid women. Whereas in church gatherings the Apostle Paul does instruct both men and women to pray (1 Cor. 11:1-16). Moreover, that would further confirm that here in 1 Tim. 2:8 “every place” is not in reference to church but “in every place” outside of church.Just like the New Testament Christians preached in public and baptized in public, Paul was commanding Christians to also PRAY in public - “in every place!” The whole context leading up to this verse 8 was for Gentiles (non-believers) outside the church (1Tim. 2:7-8):“7I was appointed a preacher and an apostle … as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8 Therefore I want the men in every place to pray.”As it says here, Paul preached in public, to the Gentiles, and therefore, he wanted men to pray in every place, in public where the Gentiles are.In the Bible people prayed in a lot of different postures but this is the only verse in the Bible that tells us how to pray, when we pray in public – lifting up hands. In public prayer God wants a public symbol of Christians pointing up to God of heaven.Paul also said to “… pray lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.” When the general public would see Christians lifting up their hands in prayer, of all times God does not want the Christians to be accused of being unholy - angry or divisive hypocrites. Angry or divisive Christians are not holy - “pray lifting up holy hands.”It disgusts me that Muslims are more obedient to their demonic god Allah, always being seen praying in public, whereas Christians don’t even know that Satan is counterfeiting what God has told Christians to be doing! Muslims are often seen praying in public, sometime taking up whole city streets for their public prayers. What a shameful disgrace to Christians - we see Muslim “men in every place praying!”Do Muslims love their moon god Allah more than Christians love their Lord God, their King of kings and Lord of lords? It begs the question - who publicly shows the most honor to their god, Muslims or Christians?Satan not only has Muslims symbolically honoring their Allah god, but Satan also did the same thing with godless Nazis. They would publicly lift their hands in an honor of salute to their god Adolf Hitler. This was an actual abbreviated public prayer - “Heil Hitler!” It literally meant “victory, savior, and blessing” to their god Hitler.Satan has also directed many other godless groups in America to counterfeit God’s public strategy to raise up hands or fists in defiance of God and glory to their god and cause – the Black Panthers Party, Black Lives Matter, Students for Palestine, etc. The point is - Satan has hijacked what God has commanded His people to do in public! God wants His people to dominate with public prayer events and rallies of all kinds - lifting up holy hands to the King of kings and Lord of lord!Are Christians ashamed to have public prayer and raise hands? Jesus said (Luke 9:26; Matt. 10:32):“If anyone is ashamed of Me and My message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when He returns in His glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels … but everyone who acknowledges Me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven.”Jesus wants Christians “in every place” to publicly acknowledge Him, not least of which in prayer and praise to their Savior, Lord, and King. Paul said to pray in “in every place” – what about at schools, universities, city squares, on capital steps, etc. Students don’t need permission to publicly pray when God has already commanded it! Students don’t need to hide in private rooms to pray. Pray in the school gymnasium! Pray in the school auditorium! Pray in front of the school! Pray all around the school! “Pray in every place lifting up holy hands!”God even tells us in this same chapter who and what to pray for, and it specially makes sense when praying in public:* Who to pray for – “all who are in authority” (1Tim.2:2). That makes sense especially in public prayer – school authorities, civil authorities etc.* What to pray for - that all authorities will protect Christians to have freedom and “peace,” and be viewed with “dignity” – to be able to get “the knowledge of the truth to everyone that they might be saved” (1Tim. 2:2-5).In a recent high school graduation ceremony, a valedictorian was giving a speech to her student body. As soon as she started to express gratitude to Jesus for what she had accomplished, the administration turned off her loudspeaker. They started escorting her from the podium. Students stood and started shouting – “Let her speak!”I thought of how the power of God would have put a holy fear in those teachers and turned the auditorium into opportunity for God’s glory if all the Christians would have stood at that moment with uplifted hands and started praying the Lord’s Prayer out loud in unison – “Our Father who art in heaven, holy be Your Name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven …!”Satan and his godless administration would have been paralyzed by the power of public prayer. Satan would have fled. In that situation unsaved students would have joined in. Christians have not been using the power of public prayer to their King. Brothers and sisters, do you realize we are in a war? We do in war what we never do in peace. If we don’t become radicals for Christ, the radicals for Satan will rise up their fists in defiance to our King Jesus and that will be our end. This was New Testament Christians (1 Cor. 4:10):“For we have become fools for Christ!”We must be fools for Christ in our generation. Mobilize public prayer rallies - “In every place pray lifting up holy hands!”Public Demonstrating:Paul and his apostles had some of their greatest success in the city of Ephesus. And it was there that it was recorded that the Christins had one of the most amazing public demonstrations (Acts 19:18-20):“Many who became believers confessed their sinful practices. A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their books and burned them at a public bonfire. The value of the books was several million dollars. So the message about the Lord spread widely and had a powerful effect!”Do we want to see the message about the Lord spread widely and have a powerful effect in our city today? When will Christians start dominating in the public square and have public demonstrations for OUR Lord! We must not fear what people think (Prov. 29:25):“Fearing people is a dangerous trap.”This is New Testament Christianity. Paul wrote all the Christians in Corinth (1 Cor. 11:1):“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”We must have the same attitude as all the Apostles had when they defied their civil leaders in continuing to preach in public when their civil authorities whipped them and told them not to. They simply said this to their civil authorities and continued to publicly preach every time they were released (Acts 5:29):“We must obey God rather than man!”In Acts 4 and 5, the apostles were arrested for speaking in the public center where most people gathered. Had they stayed in their church and just preached to the believers, the authorities would never have bothered them. However, they were arrested and then whipped. But the Holy Spirit told them to go right back out to the same place and start preaching again! They were then arrested again (Acts 2:28-33):“‘We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,’ he said. ‘Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching.’ Peter and the other apostles replied: ‘We must obey God rather than human beings!’ … they were furious and wanted to put them to death!”The church leaders did not fill their church with teaching - they filled their city with their teaching!Today, why do Leftists consider it a badge of honor to be arrested for their public protesting in what they believe? At first, they are ridiculed but because of their continual public protests, in time they have now changed our society. What are Christians afraid of? A Christian public uprising, Christian protesting, Christian public demonstrations – this was New Testament Christianity! Jesus went public, the 12 Apostles went public, the Apostle Paul went public - New Testament Christians went public in every way to turn their “world upside down for Christ”:* Public Preaching* Public Baptizing* Public Praying* Public DemonstratingIf we don’t have Christians today going public like 1st century Christians and like many of our Christian forefathers, we will be doomed and we will “reap the whirlwind.”On April 16, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. was thrown into jail for marching for his cause on the streets of Birmingham, Alabama. Below is the letter that he wrote on scraps of paper to all the pastors in the city while in jail. King and his associates were a classic example of going public with public demonstrations for their cause … and as a result they changed America and America law!Christians will rise up and march for King Jesus and God’s Law to be established in their city … if they’re as desperate for God’s cause as much as Martin Luther King Jr. was for his cause. Much of what Martin Luther King Jr. wrote, Christians should look at closely before it’s too late:My Dear Fellow Clergymen:While confined here in the Birmingham city jail, I came across your recent statement calling my present activities “unwise and untimely” …Most basically, I am in Birmingham because injustice is here. Just as the prophets of the eighth century B.C. left their villages and carried their “thus saith the Lord” far beyond the boundaries of their home towns, and just as the Apostle Paul left his village of Tarsus and carried the gospel of Jesus Christ to the far corners of the Greco Roman world, so am I compelled to carry the gospel of freedom beyond my own home town. Like Paul, I must constantly respond to the Macedonian call for aid … Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere …You deplore the demonstrations taking place in Birmingham. But your statement, I am sorry to say, fails to express a similar concern for the conditions that brought about the demonstrations. I am sure that none of you would want to rest content with the superficial kind of social analysis that deals merely with effects and does not grapple with underlying causes …In any nonviolent campaign there are four basic steps: collection of the facts to determine whether injustices exist; negotiation; self-purification; and direct action …We had no alternative except to prepare for direct action, whereby we would present our very bodies as a means of laying our case before the conscience of the local and the national community. Mindful of the difficulties involved, we decided to undertake a process of self-purification. We began a series of workshops on nonviolence, and we repeatedly asked ourselves: “Are you able to accept blows without retaliating?” “Are you able to endure the ordeal of jail?” …You may well ask: “Why direct action? Why sit-ins, marches and so forth? Isn’t negotiation a better path?” You are quite right in calling for negotiation. Indeed, this is the very purpose of direct action. Nonviolent direct action seeks to create such a crisis and foster such a tension that a community which has constantly refused to negotiate is forced to confront the issue. It seeks so to dramatize the issue that it can no longer be ignored. My citing the creation of tension as part of the work of the nonviolent resister may sound rather shocking. But I must confess that I am not afraid of the word “tension.” I have earnestly opposed violent tension, but there is a type of constructive, nonviolent tension which is necessary for growth …We know through painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed. Frankly, I have yet to engage in a direct action campaign that was “well timed” in the view of those who have not suffered… For years now I have heard the word “Wait!” This “Wait” has almost always meant “Never.” We must come to see, with one of our distinguished jurists, that “justice too long delayed is justice denied.” …You express a great deal of anxiety over our willingness to break laws. This is certainly a legitimate concern … One may well ask: “How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?” The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that “an unjust law is no law at all.”Now, what is the difference between the two? How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas: An unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal law…Sometimes a law is just on its face and unjust in its application. For instance, I have been arrested on a charge of parading without a permit … such an ordinance becomes unjust when it is used to deny citizens the First-Amendment privilege of peaceful assembly and protest …One who breaks an unjust law must do so openly, lovingly, and with a willingness to accept the penalty. I submit that an individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for law.Of course, there is nothing new about this kind of civil disobedience. It was evidenced sublimely in the refusal of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to obey the laws of Nebuchadnezzar, on the ground that a higher moral law was at stake. It was practiced superbly by the early Christians, who were willing to face hungry lions and the excruciating pain of chopping blocks rather than submit to certain unjust laws of the Roman Empire … In our own nation, the Boston Tea Party represented a massive act of civil disobedience.We should never forget that everything Adolf Hitler did in Germany was “legal” and everything the Hungarian freedom fighters did in Hungary was “illegal.” It was “illegal” to aid and comfort a Jew in Hitler’s Germany. Even so, I am sure that, had I lived in Germany at the time, I would have aided and comforted my Jewish brothers. If today I lived in a Communist country where certain principles dear to the Christian faith are suppressed, I would openly advocate disobeying that country’s antireligious laws.I must make two honest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers. First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen’s Councilor or the Ku Klux Klan, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to “order” than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action”; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a “more convenient season.” Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.I had hoped that the white moderate would understand that law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice … Actually, we who engage in nonviolent direct action are not the creators of tension. We merely bring to the surface the hidden tension that is already alive. We bring it out in the open, where it can be seen and dealt with. Like a boil that can never be cured so long as it is covered up but must be opened with all its ugliness to the natural medicines of air and light, injustice must be exposed, with all the tension its exposure creates, to the light of human conscience and the air of national opinion before it can be cured.In your statement you assert that our actions, even though peaceful, must be condemned because they precipitate violence. But is this a logical assertion? ... Isn’t this like condemning Jesus because his unique God consciousness and never ceasing devotion to God’s will precipitated the evil act of crucifixion? …I have just received a letter from a white brother in Texas. He writes: “All Christians know that the colored people will receive equal rights eventually, but it is possible that you are in too great a religious hurry. It has taken Christianity almost two thousand years to accomplish what it has. The teachings of Christ take time to come to earth.” Such an attitude stems from a tragic misconception of time, from the strangely irrational notion that there is something in the very flow of time that will inevitably cure all ills. Actually, time itself is neutral; it can be used either destructively or constructively. More and more I feel that the people of ill will have used time much more effectively than have the people of good will. We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people. Human progress never rolls in on wheels of inevitability; it comes through the tireless efforts of men willing to be coworkers with God … We must use time creatively, in the knowledge that the time is always ripe to do right …So let him march; let him make prayer pilgrimages to the city hall; let him go on freedom rides … now this approach is being termed extremist. But though I was initially disappointed at being categorized as an extremist, as I continued to think about the matter I gradually gained a measure of satisfaction from the label. Was not Jesus an extremist for love: “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” Was not Amos an extremist for justice: “Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” Was not Paul an extremist for the Christian gospel: “I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” Was not Martin Luther an extremist: “Here I stand; I cannot do otherwise, so help me God.” And John Bunyan: “I will stay in jail to the end of my days before I make a butchery of my conscience.” …So the question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be. Will we be extremists for hate or for love? Will we be extremists for the preservation of injustice or for the extension of justice? In that dramatic scene on Calvary’s hill three men were crucified. We must never forget that all three were crucified for the same crime – the crime of extremism. Two were extremists for immorality, and thus fell below their environment. The other, Jesus Christ, was an extremist for love, truth and goodness, and thereby rose above his environment. Perhaps the nation and the world are in dire need of creative extremists.I had hoped that the white moderate would see this need. Perhaps I was too optimistic; perhaps I expected too much. I suppose I should have realized that few … have the vision to see that injustice must be rooted out by strong, persistent and determined action. I am thankful, however, that some of our white brothers in the South have grasped the meaning of this social revolution and committed themselves to it. They are still all too few in quantity, but they are big in quality…Let me take note of my other major disappointment. I have been so greatly disappointed with the white church and its leadership. Of course, there are some notable exceptions … But despite these notable exceptions, I must honestly reiterate that I have been disappointed with the church. I do not say this as one of those negative critics who can always find something wrong with the church. I say this as a minister of the gospel, who loves the church; who was nurtured in its bosom; who has been sustained by its spiritual blessings and who will remain true to it as long as the cord of life shall lengthen.When I was suddenly catapulted into the leadership of the bus protest in Montgomery, Alabama, a few years ago, I felt we would be supported by the white church. I felt that the white ministers, priests and rabbis of the South would be among our strongest allies. Instead, some have been outright opponents, refusing to understand the freedom movement and misrepresenting its leaders; all too many others have been more cautious than courageous and have remained silent behind the anesthetizing security of stained-glass windows …I have watched white churchmen stand on the sideline and mouth pious irrelevancies and sanctimonious trivialities. In the midst of a mighty struggle to rid our nation of racial and economic injustice, I have heard many ministers say: “Those are social issues, with which the gospel has no real concern.” And I have watched many churches commit themselves to a completely other worldly religion which makes a strange, unbiblical distinction between body and soul, between the sacred and the secular …I have looked at the South’s beautiful churches with their lofty spires pointing heavenward. I have beheld the impressive outlines of her massive religious education buildings. Over and over I have found myself asking: “What kind of people worship here? Who is their God? ... Where were their voices of support when bruised and weary Negro men and women decided to rise from the dark dungeons of complacency to the bright hills of creative protest?”Yes, these questions are still in my mind. In deep disappointment I have wept over the laxity of the church … Yes, I see the church as the body of Christ. But, oh! How we have blemished and scared that body through social neglect and through fear of being nonconformists.There was a time when the church was very powerful – in the time when the early Christians rejoiced at being deemed worthy to suffer for what they believed. In those days the church was not merely a thermometer that recorded the ideas and principles of popular opinion; it was a thermostat that transformed the mores of society. Whenever the early Christians entered a town, the people in power became disturbed and immediately sought to convict the Christians for being “disturbers of the peace” and “outside agitators.”’ But the Christians pressed on, in the conviction that they were “a colony of heaven,” called to obey God rather than man. Small in number, they were big in commitment. They were too God-intoxicated to be “astronomically intimidated.” By their effort and example they brought an end to such ancient evils as infanticide and gladiatorial contests. Things are different now. So often the contemporary church is a weak, ineffectual voice with an uncertain sound. So often it is an arch-defender of the status quo. Far from being disturbed by the presence of the church, the power structure of the average community is consoled by the church’s silent – and often even vocal – sanction of things as they are.But the judgment of God is upon the church as never before. If today’s church does not recapture the sacrificial spirit of the early church, it will lose its authenticity, forfeit the loyalty of millions, and be dismissed as an irrelevant social club with no meaning for the twentieth century. Every day I meet young people whose disappointment with the church has turned into outright disgust.Perhaps I have once again been too optimistic. Is organized religion too inextricably bound to the status quo to save our nation and the world? Perhaps I must turn my faith to the inner spiritual church, the church within the church, as the true ekklesia and the hope of the world. But again I am thankful to God that some noble souls from the ranks of organized religion have broken loose from the paralyzing chains of conformity and joined us as active partners in the struggle for freedom. They have left their secure congregations and walked the streets of Albany, Georgia, with us. They have gone down the highways of the South on tortuous rides for freedom. Yes, they have gone to jail with us. Some have been dismissed from their churches, have lost the support of their bishops and fellow ministers. But they have acted in the faith that right defeated is stronger than evil triumphant. Their witness has been the spiritual salt that has preserved the true meaning of the gospel in these troubled times. They have carved a tunnel of hope through the dark mountain of disappointment. I hope the church as a whole will meet the challenge of this decisive hour. But even if the church does not come to the aid of justice, I have no despair about the future. I have no fear about the outcome of our struggle in Birmingham, even if our motives are at present misunderstood. We will reach the goal of freedom in Birmingham and all over the nation …One day the South will recognize its real heroes … with the noble sense of purpose that enables them to face jeering and hostile mobs, and with the agonizing loneliness that characterizes the life of the pioneer … They will be the young high school and college students, the young ministers of the gospel and a host of their elders, courageously and nonviolently sitting in at lunch counters and willingly going to jail for conscience’ sake. One day the South will know that when these disinherited children of God sat down at lunch counters, they were in reality standing up for what is best in the American dream and for the most sacred values in our Judeo-Christian heritage …Never before have I written so long a letter. I’m afraid it is much too long to take your precious time. I can assure you that it would have been much shorter if I had been writing from a comfortable desk, but what else can one do when he is alone in a narrow jail cell, other than write long letters, think long thoughts and pray long prayers?If I have said anything in this letter that overstates the truth and indicates an unreasonable impatience, I beg you to forgive me.     15: God’s Strategy For Civil Conquest 5 of 7 - KINGDOM

    What Kingdom are we talking about? Not some Kingdom just in heaven. Not some Kingdom just in the future. No, God’s Kingdom is with us here and now! We know this to be true because Jesus commanded this for us here and now (Matt. 6:33):“But seek first the Kingdom of God!”Jesus is not talking about serving the church. Jesus is not talking about serving other Christians. Jesus is not talking about preaching the gospel. Jesus is not talking about serving Him in general. Jesus is very specific here. Jesus is talking about one thing - the establishment of a nation, a nation with a king - God’s Nation – a nation with God’s Law and God’s Son Jesus as King!How do we know that Jesus is commanding us to “seek first the Kingdom of God” for here on earth now? And if that’s true - that is revolutionary! Here are five reasons why we know Jesus is commanding this for here on earth now:* The verse itself is present tense.* What proceeds the verse - the first word in Matthew 6:33 is the word “But.” The word “but” is there in context to demand the opposite of what non-believers are seeking right now here on earth – “money … food … and clothes” (Matt. 6:24-32):“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money… So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. But seek first the Kingdom of God.”* The second half of the verse - Matthew 6:33:“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”In context “all these things” were the material things mentioned right above this verse that all the unsaved are seeking here and now.* What follows the verse - the first word that follows Matthew 6:33 is the word “Therefore,” verses 34:“Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”We are to “seek first the Kingdom of God” literally TODAY and not to even “be anxious about tomorrow!”* The chapter beginning – earlier in the chapter Jesus tells us what to pray for “on earth,” here and now (Matt. 6:9-10):“Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”This too is in the present tense - “on earth” - now. Furthermore, the next sentence tells us to pray for what is here and now:“Give us this day our daily bread.”One Bible translation of Matthew 6:33 reads: “Seek first the nation of God.” The word “Kingdom” is more correct. However, using the word “nation” might enlighten some who miss the point that Jesus is making. Jesus is commanding us to seek first for having a specific nation here on earth - God’s nation - which is to be God’s Kingdom with King Jesus and His Law.What Jesus is commanding us to do today is exactly what Jesus is going to do when He returns. That is NOT a reason for us to not seek first His Kingdom today, but only further confirms God’s will for us today. There is no time that we should not work to do what Jesus would do. But today is our time and our opportunity - to disciple nations - according to God’s Kingdom.In the Gospels, Jesus referred to His church 2 times. Jesus referred to His Kingdom over 120 times! This is not to minimize the church, but it’s Jesus confirming His mission for the church – His Kingdom. Yes, it is to get the gospel to the nations, but it is far more than that – it’s to establish Jesus’s “all authority … on earth … in all nations!” (Matt. 28:18-20).The Apostles confirmed Jesus’s mandate by continuing to teach the Kingdom of God over 40 separate times after the church started. Here are only five examples in Acts alone:* “But now the people believed Philip’s message of Good News concerning the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ” (Acts 8:12).* Then Paul went to the synagogue and preached boldly for the next three months, arguing persuasively about the Kingdom of God” (Acts 19:8).* “And now I know that none of you to whom I have preached the Kingdom will ever see me again” (Acts 20:25).* “Paul witnessed to them from morning till evening, explaining about the Kingdom of God” (Acts 28:23).* “For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 28:30-31).Moreover, Jesus’s Great Commission was and is a civil mandate (Matt. 28:18-20). Most evangelicals misuse this verse to declare the gospel to all nations, but this verse says nothing about the gospel! Plenty of other verses do, however. The Great Commission is not understood and thus not obeyed by most evangelicals today, unlike most of Christendom (albeit it some good and some bad) understood and pursued it for the first 1800 years from the time of Christ. The Great Commission in essence declares 5 teachings (for theological confirmation on all 5 points read Jesus’s Civil Mandate):* Jesus has been given all authority on earth (includes civil government authority).* Jesus mandates Christians to teach nations (not church or disciples but civil governments).* Jesus mandates Christians to immerse nations in the authority of the whole Godhead (not water baptism).* Jesus mandates Christians to teach all nations to obey all Jesus commanded (God’s civil Law).* Jesus promises to be with Christians to fulfill His national/civil mandate today (nations ruled under King Jesus and God’s Law).The Apostle Peter declared what the Christian race is and what Christian mission is (1 Peter 2:9):“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”What did the Apostle Peter say Christians are:* A chosen race.* A royal priesthood.* A holy nation.* For God’s possession.* To proclaim His excellencies.What is “a royal priesthood” – those representing a king on earth today – King Jesus.What is “a holy nation” - a nation today under God’s holy civil Law - God’s Ten Commandments, Statutes, and Judgments.What is it “to proclaim His excellencies” – to proclaim to our nation today about the greatness of our King – King Jesus.What did the Apostle John say to all the churches for today (Rev. 1:4-6):“This letter is from John to the seven churches … Grace and peace to you from Jesus Christ who is … the ruler of all the kings of the world… He has made us a Kingdom of priests for God His Father. All glory and dominion to Him forever and ever! Amen.”Why did the Apostle Paul say Christians are to be civil judges for today? Because Christians are going to eventually be judges for all the world and even angels (1 Cor. 6:1-3). The Apostle John also confirmed what God wants for His people - to be rulers on the earth (Rev. 5:10):“And You have caused God’s people to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign (rule) on the earth.”The Apostle Peter was martyred for what he was proclaiming. What He wrote was seditious to the Roman Empire even as Paul’s letters were and still are seditious for every nation today that does not honor Jesus as King and God’s Law as their civil law. But we are God’s “chosen race” to reign today as a “holy nation.” Until we establish the nation we are living in to be a “holy nation” under God’s Law - Christians are to function as a shadow government - a “holy nation” within a nation.* Jesus mandated what Law for Christians to follow today (Matt. 5:17-19).* Paul mandated what judges for Christians to follow today (1 Cor. 6:1-5).* Jesus mandated Christians to teach our nation today to obey all His commands/laws (Matt. 28:18-20).* Jesus promised He would be with us today to fulfill His national mandate (Matt. 28:18-20).In the past, with the authority and power of Jesus, Christians established many cities and nations for the Kingdom of God with God’s Law and Jesus as King. It is now our responsibility to our King Jesus and in His Name to do the same in our generation (Heb. 11:33):“Through faith to conquer nations!”To obey what Jesus mandated:“Seek first the Kingdom of God!”I want to conclude with an article of Ted Weiland, a biblical scholar, who wrote on the Lord’s Eternal Kingdom. Weiland references “Lord” with the Hebrew word, “Yahweh”:Yahweh’s Eternal KingdomYahweh’s kingdom is eternal: it exists yesterday, today, and forever. It is definitive in that it has always been and always will be in existence (Psalm 145:13). It is progressive in that He intends it to fill the entire earth (Isaiah 9:6-7, Daniel 2:35, Zechariah 9:9-10, Matthew 13:31-33) …Because Yahweh is the creator of the universe, He is sovereign over the universe, time without end:His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation. (Daniel 4:3)Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17)Yahweh never abdicated His throne. He is as much King now as He was at the beginning of creation. As perpetual King, the kingdom He rules over is perpetual.Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endures throughout all generations. (Psalm 145:13)To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 1:25)Many Christians reject these inescapable facts of Yahweh’s sovereignty, believing He has no kingdom at present or that His kingdom is limited to heaven. They lift their favorite proof text from John 18:Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. (John 18:36)The exact same Greek phrase ek toú kósmou, translated “not of this world,” is used several times and is explained in the preceding chapter:I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world .... As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. (John 17:14-18)Clearly ek toú kósmou does not mean Yahweh’s kingdom exists only in heaven. Although it is certainly true that His kingdom is not of this world, this does not mean that He does not intend for it to be in this world. His statement in John 18 is better understood to mean that His kingdom is nothing like the other kingdoms in this world. As someone once said, “The only kingdom that will prevail in this world is the kingdom that is not of this world.” Martin Luther correctly taught John 18:36:Christ came in order to begin the kingdom of God and to establish it in the world. This is why he said before Pilate: “My kingdom is not of this world, but whoever belongs to the truth hears my voice,” and why throughout the Gospel he announces the kingdom of God, saying: “Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand;” and again: “Seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness.” And indeed he calls the Gospel a gospel of the kingdom of God, in that it teaches, governs and preserves the kingdom of God.The teaching that Yahweh’s kingdom does not exist on earth or that Yahweh has abandoned the earth to His enemies is not new to this age:Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? For they say, YHWH sees us not; YHWH hath forsaken the earth. (Ezekiel 8:12)Christians who reject Yahweh’s extant kingdom here on earth are looking for a future king and a future kingdom. This erroneous theology has all but destroyed Yahweh’s kingdom, at least in practice, here on earth. It is certainly one of the principal reasons why the antichrists and non-Christians rule today. This anti-kingdom theology has also been one of the prime contributors to today’s fulfillment of Jesus’ warning in Matthew 5:You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost its flavor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. (Matthew 5:13)This is a fulfillment of Yahweh’s curse in Deuteronomy 28:But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of YHWH thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee ... The stranger that is within thee shall get up above you very high; and thou shalt come down very low ... Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which YHWH shall send against thee. (Deuteronomy 28:15, 43-48)One cannot get any lower than beneath the feet of those who rule over you. Rejecting Yahweh, His kingdom, and His laws has always been prime cause of His people’s calamities. By rejecting Yahweh’s laws, Christians abdicate dominion and relinquish Yahweh’s earthly kingdom to His enemies:And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. (Matthew 11:12)Then spoke Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.... But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither allow them that are entering to go in. (Matthew 23:1-13)Neither of these passages can be referring to the kingdom in heaven. Instead, they refer to the kingdom of heaven here on earth. The only difference between what was occurring in Jesus’ day and what has occurred in modern times is that Yahweh’s enemies have not needed to take the kingdom by force. Because Christianity is glutted with doctrines proclaiming that Yahweh’s laws are irrelevant under the New Covenant, that Christians are obligated to keep all of man’s laws, and that the kingdom is yet to come or that it is found exclusively in heaven, the kingdom has been handed over to Yahweh’s enemies without a struggle… When Yahweh’s subjects are diligent to observe His law, Yahweh promises His people dominion rather than servitude:And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of YHWH thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that YHWH thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. (Deuteronomy 28:1)____________________________________________________________________________________________Jesus’s Kingdom “is not of this world,” from this world or like this world, but it is most definitely to be IN this world and Jesus as its KING! But when Jesus was heading to the cross that was not the time for Jesus’s servants to fight and resist Jesus going to the cross. Jesus came into the world to die for the sins of the world. But after Jesus rose from the dead He said, “all authority has been given unto Me … on earth” and then He mandated His disciples to now go and “teach all nations … His commands” (Matt. 28:18-20).Today, Christians are mandated to go out and fight to capture their nation for the Kingdom of God using the “sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God” (Eph. 6:17) – to establish Christian nations. Once Christians are civil rulers then they can and must use the physical sword to maintain God’s Law (Rom. 13:4).     In the 20th century, for the first time since the time of Christ, Christians began to be indifferent to God’s biblical civil mandate and as a result they did not think about the necessity of God’s biblical media mandate. These two God given mandates stand or fall together!Also, at this same time a new era of media was invented - electronic media - radio, film, and television. Christians had already abdicated their newspaper media dominance, so Satan swiftly moved his secular non-Christian agents into place to take over the new electronic media with its national dominance.It has been rightly said:* THE COUNTRY is controlled by LAWS.* LAWS are controlled by POLITICIANS.* POLITICIANS are controlled by VOTERS.* VOTERS are controlled by PUBLIC OPINION.* PUBLIC OPINION is controlled by MEDIA.* So, whoever controls MEDIA controls the COUNTRY!New Testament - KeryssoIn the New Testament the root word for “preach” or “preacher” is used 80 times. However, in the original Greek, there are seven different Greek words but which in English translation Bibles are often only translated as “preach.” But as you would expect, every one of the seven different Greek words has seven different meanings. Therefore, with our English Bibles we don’t always see the seven Greek word meanings. Here are six of the seven different Greek words and their meanings:* Laleō: Talk* Kataggellō: Teach* Diaggello: Declare* Dialegomai: Debate* Parresiazomai: Be bold.* Euaggelizō: Tell good news.However, NONE of these Greek root words are used for “preacher” in Romans 10:14:“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”The Greek word in Romans 10:14 for “preacher” is “kēryssō.” This Greek word has a dramatically different meaning than all the other Greek words above. When the apostle Paul heard the Holy Spirit dictate to him this word, “kerysso” … Paul may have been shocked. This Greek word was used at that time for the mass news media! Here is how the Greek lexicon defines this word “kerysso”:* To officiate as a Herald, an Official Messenger, the Public Town Crier.* To publish openly.Moreover, the very next verse describes the mass media newsmen of their day (Rom. 10:15):“And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!’”The first word for “preach” in Greek is “kerysso,” or “public heralding.” The second word for “preach” in Greek is “euangelizō,” which is “tell good news.” The first word described what kind of messaging, the second what kind of message. Evangelicals today may have the right message but have totally lost the kind of messaging - God’s mandated mass media!When Paul quotes here from the Old Testament, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach,” this described the public Heralds that ran from city to city publicly declaring the news to that city. New Testament preachers were NOT known for Sunday morning sermons behind closed doors but for being the public mass media of their city! We see that exemplified with all the apostles as well as Paul and his fellow apostles.For centuries in England, the Keryssos were called the town Criers or town Heralds. After the invention of the printing press the mass media newspapers began to replace the personal town heralds. The first newspaper I started in the late 70’s, I called The Life Herald. After that I started many other newspapers and also bought radio and television stations until the 21st century when the internet entered into the new mass media world.WarfareThe U.S. Armed Forces has six branches to accomplish its commission: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force and Coast Guard. Like a military, God has given His spiritual military seven spiritual warfare branches to accomplish His Great Commission:* Laleō: Talk.* Kataggellō: Teach.* Diaggello: Declare.* Dialegomai: Debate.* Parresiazomai: Be bold.* Euaggelizō: Tell good news.* Kerysso: Heralding / Publishing news media.To win in any warfare, military or spiritual, all the branches are strategic. Of all the U.S. military branches, the Air Force might best be compared to God’s mandate for “kerysso.” The Air Force can mass bomb a whole city. God’s mandate for kerysso is to mass communicate to a whole city.Now think about this:* NO war in history has ever been won by any nation if they did not have an air force and the other side did.* NO nation has ever been Christianized when non-Christians dominated kerysso.* NO nation in history has ever remained non-Christianized when Christians dominated kerysso!There has never been ONE historical exception in any of the above three!And to those who think that may have been possible in the past but not in our culture today, let me make one thing historically clear to you:* When Christianity and God’s Law virtually took over the whole Roman Empire in the 4th century, historically it would have been more impossible with that government than in America today.* When the Christian Protestant Reformers took over city-states and nation after nation in the 16th century, historically it would have been more impossible with that government than in America today.I could easily author an entire article confirming the above. But really how does it even compare. In the U.S. today, all Christians need to do is walk to a polling place and fill out a ballot! Moreover, if God is on our side and a critical mass of Christians obey, “is anything too difficult for God?” Or as Paul said - “If God be for us who can be against us?” What Christian should even question - is any nation or government of darkness greater than King Jesus and the Kingdom of God?However, for Christian authorities to carry it all out, I do not presume this would be easy. But it is impossible if no one believes or acts. All the Reformers were initially considered to be seditious and treasonous, even by some Christians. They were also violently opposed. Many were put in jail. Others tortured. Some burned at the stake. I don’t assume Satan will be any less ferocious today than he was then in losing any of his national domains. But the Christians won city after city! That is our Christian lineage!The Apostle John said (Rev. 12:11):“And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.”The Apostle Paul said (Rom. 8:36):“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”And remember what Paul said to all the Christians in Corinth (1 Cor. 1:26-28):“Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are.”One of three ways YOU can obey God’s media mandate and help conquer a city for Christ:* If you have the money, you could start or buy newspapers, television or radio stations. Or you could buy or develop an internet social media company.* For virtually no cost you could pursue being a social media influencer via Substack with writing, video, and/or audio. You can have a great start with all who are on your email list, and it could grow from there, if you only do it for a few minutes once or more a week.* Last but not least (or also), if you’re not able to do #1 or just don’t feel you can do #2, in God’s Name, don’t do nothing.     From the time of Christ to the invention of the printing press in the 15th century A.D., there were ONLY TWO kinds of media - speaking or hand-written. For most of this time Christians completely dominated media. That is why Christendom ruled most of the western world for 1500 years.After the invention of the printing press, the Protestant Christian Reformers dominated mass media. Historian and lecturer Art Crawford declared:“For 200 years after the invention of the printing press 99% of everything that was printed was about Jesus Christ or the Bible!”From the invention of the printing press until the beginning of the 20th century, the Christian worldview continued dominating media: books, pamphlets, and newspapers. This is why from the time of the invention of the printing press to the beginning of the 20th century, Christendom continued to rule the nations of the western world!Starting in the 20th century, electric forms of media were invented: radio, film, and television. However, after almost 2,000 years of Christendom dominating public communication and Christians ruling, within 50 years after electronic media was invented, Christians unwittingly relinquished media dominatance to non-Christians!This has happened slowly over my life. But historically it happened overnight! With the non-Christians dominating media they were able to promote and give cover for non-Christian civil governance in changing our godly moral laws to satanic immoral laws. Schools threw out prayer, the bible, and the Christian worldview to now teaching an all-out anti-Christian worldview.Christians will never be able to seize back the civil rule for King Jesus and God’s Law of any city unless Kingdom-minded Christians begin to seize back media dominance in their city. Why do you think that in the 20th century, when communists were taking over country after country, the very first thing they did was seize control of the major media? Once they had the major media, they always had the country. It was impossible then, as today, for any civil leader to remain in power very long if there is not adequate media to sustain them.The Bible also confirms this when referring to media in its day, which was then only speaking or writing righteous or unrighteous media (Prob. 11:11, 29:8):“By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth [media] of the wicked.”“Scoffers [media] set a city aflame.”God’s Word is written media, and it too always produces results but with God’s Word it always produces good results (Isa. 55:10-12):“The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with My Word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. You will live in joy and peace.”What the apostle Paul addressed can also apply to media - good or bad (Gal. 6:7-8; 2 Cor. 9:6):“Whatever a man sows [via media], that will he also reap. Sow to the flesh and reap corruption. Sow to the Spirit and reap eternal life.”“Sow sparingly and reap sparingly, and sow bountifully and reap bountifully.”This is why sowing a little sermon once a week will NEVER compete for seizing a city for Christ against an unrighteous 24/7 mass media propagandizing the whole city day and night. This is why the early American culture was so completely Christianized compared to today.In early America for example, Benjamin Franklin printed in all his daily newspapers all the sermons of early American evangelist George Whitefield. And all media was strongly pro-Christian. Now you know why Christianity was the formal state religion in 9 of the 13 states and informally in all the other states and stayed that way after the Revolution and into the 19th century. As the mass media goes, so goes every nation, sooner or later. That is why Edmund Burke, the renowned English statesman in the 18th century, when parliament was in session pointed up to the reporter’s gallery and declared:“There is the Fourth Estate!”And the Fourth Estate news media is always the strongest part of any national government because it is always in power and always talking to all the people all the time.In 1938, Adolf Hitler said:“Without the loudspeaker, we would never have conquered Germany.”Formerly avowed communist and Special Advisory “Czar” for President Obama, Anthony “Van” Jones, said:“You cannot have an opposition movement without an opposition media.”And these unrighteous leaders remind me of what Jesus said (Luke 16:8):“For the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.”Mass MediaEvery Christian should witness, tell people about the gospel and the kingdom of God. But in both the Old and New Testament God also directs His people to also be in some form of mass media.Old Testament:“Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate” (Prov. 1:20-21).This verse in its time shows their form of mass media. Who would do it - those with “wisdom.” And the “city gate” was where the civil leaders met. “Wisdom” also directed their media to the civil leaders and government.“Listen as Wisdom calls out! Hear as understanding raises her voice! On the hilltop along the road, she takes her stand at the crossroads. By the gates at the entrance to the town, on the road leading in, she cries aloud, ‘I call to you, to all of you! I raise my voice to all people’” (Prov. 8:1-4).“The wise conquer the city of the strong and level the fortress in which they trust” (Prov. 21:22).Note again, God is talking about His people who are “wise.” Not only do they mass communicate to “all the people” but their mission is to conquer a city… and “The wise conquer the city of the strong.”Proverbs concludes in chapter 31 addressing the godly wife. And what kind of a husband does she have - a husband who is well known as a “civil leader!”“Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders” (Prov. 31:28).But if the wise don’t mass communicate to all the people in the city and conquer their city for the Kingdom of God… the wicked will!“The talk of the wicked tears a city apart” (Prov. 11:11).“Scoffers set a city aflame” (Prov. 29:8).“When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan” (Prov. 29:2).God’s fight is always for people, and when God’s people control the city “the people rejoice.” Also, the greatest number of people then come to know “the King of kings and the Lord of lords!”In the Old Testament, the “wise” used mass media – “I call to you, to all of you! I raise my voice to all people.” And God continued to mandate mass media (Hab. 2:2):“Then the Lord replied: ‘Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.’”We’ll next see how the New Testament also mandates God’s people to use mass media in this age.Media - to be continued.     12: God’s Strategy For Civil Conquest 3 or 7 - SERPENTS

    Jesus said (Matt. 10:7, 14-18):“7Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near … 14 If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave. 15I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a city on the judgment day … 16‘Behold, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. 17But beware! For you will be handed over to the courts … 18You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are My followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell the rulers and other unbelievers about Me.”Most Christians understand that they should be “innocent as doves,” but when was the last time that you heard a sermon on being “wise as serpents?” Probably never. And why not? Because most preachers and thus their congregations do not see God’s biblical mandate to have their city ruled by King Jesus and His Law, much less are working to see that accomplished! But Jesus sent His disciples to cities to “announce … the Kingdom of Heaven is near!” The “Kingdom of Heaven” was for cities - NOT a kingdom for heaven or in heaven but “of heaven.” It is God’s Kingdom for earth because it was “near” them, here on earth.Being a heavenly Kingdom describes the character of the Kingdom. God does NOT have different kingdoms. He only has one Kingdom described in different ways in the New Testament: “Kingdom of heaven … Kingdom of God … Kingdom of the Father … Kingdom of Christ … Kingdom of the Son … Kingdom of light … His Kingdom … eternal Kingdom,” and simply “the Kingdom.” The disciples were sent out to “announce … the Kingdom,” which is a form of civil government, God’s civil government for cities.God’s Kingdom being announced was relevant for cities here and now. That’s why Jesus warned that they would be in political trouble with the courts (Matt. 10:17):“But beware! For you will be handed over to the courts!”Jesus did not send his disciples out to just share the gospel with next-door neighbors but to announce to cities - His Kingdom and His judgment on any city that rejects His Kingdom message. As Jesus said (Matt. 10:15):“Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment, than for that city.”But notice the first word that Jesus said in verse 16: “Behold!” This word expresses alarm. But what’s the big alarm about? Jesus was saying if we go out to advance His Kingdom we will be “as sheep in the midst of wolves!” That should be alarming to any sheep! How long do you think a sheep can live in the midst of wolves? Seconds!Christians that politically engage in replacing secular government with God’s Kingdom government will be “eaten alive” … UNLESS they are “wise as serpents.” The only way you won’t die, much less be successful, is to apply the “serpent’s strategy” - the wisdom of snakes, as Jesus said.As a young boy, I used to live in rural Texas where there were many rattlesnakes. I learned a lot about the practical wisdom of snakes. As I thought about the wisdom of snakes, three things came to my mind:* They don’t make noise.* They are not very visible.* They only rise up and raddle when they can successfully strike their prey.However, a snake is easy to kill if you see it ahead of time. And sheep are easy for wolves to kill soon as they see they are sheep. Applying the wisdom of a snake is the only way sheep can survive among wolves, much less win over a city with wolves.Why do you think Adolf Hitler made all Jews wear the bright yellow Star of David on their clothes? Hitler wanted all Jews to always be easily identified so they could be easily marginalized in society. Satan would like all Christians to always be publicly identified to always be marginalized. Of course there are times we should be open and bold as ambassadors for Christ. But in some missions for His Kingdom we need to remember what Jesus said, “be wise as serpents.”Jesus does not require Christians to always be public about all their motivations or missions. And we should not let wolves or anyone make Christians feel guilty if they’re not always open about every Christian purpose or mission. Jesus was clandestine more than once, even with His own brothers (John 7:6-10).Many college professors use the wisdom of serpents in hiding their hatred for Jesus and their nefarious agenda against God, family, and country. But once their position is secure with “tenure,” then they strike like rattlesnakes. Jesus even said (Luke 16:8):“The children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light.”Many Bibles translate the verse “be wise as serpents” to be “shrewd as serpents.” It is the same Greek words in both verses. Yet naïve Christians think it is not godly to ever be shrewd and must always be open about their Christian identity, mission or purpose. But when they’re unsuccessful, not being shrewd and wise as a serpent, they just say they’re “suffering for Jesus.” In political mission for God’s Kingdom, it’s not always wise to wear your bright yellow Christian star on the outside of your clothes.Realize, this ONE VERSE about the wisdom of serpents is the ONLY VERSE Jesus gives to his disciples as strategy to win in fighting wolves in advancing His kingdom on cities to follow. The ‘Apostle Paul said (1 Cor. 9:24):“Run in such a way that you may win!”The radical political Left are running to win and Jesus said they are “more shrewd… than the children of the light.” Read what the Left circulated to their members on university campuses across the nation, written from a French Marxist group, titled The Coming Insurrection:“Visibility must be avoided but a force that gathers in the shadows cannot avoid it forever. Our appearance as a force must be reserved for the opportune moment. The longer we avoid visibility the stronger we’ll be when it catches up with us. And once we become visible, our days will be numbered. Either we’ll be in a position to break its hold in short order, or we’ll be crushed in time.”Satan and his Marxist’s agents are indeed shrewd. Christians must be “more shrewd,” more wise when fighting city wolves. Christians must heed “the whole counsel of God” (Prov. 21:22, 24:5):“The wise conquer the city of the strong and level the fortress in which they trust!”“The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger!”Solomon, the wisest man on earth, said (Eccl. 7:19, 9:15):“One wise person is stronger than ten leading citizens of a town!”“A poor, wise man knew how to save the town, and so it was rescued!”The Apostle Paul said (Phil. 3:18):“For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again … many live as enemies of the cross of Christ!”Jesus said (Matt. 11:12):“And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it!”To conquer a city we must follow Jesus’s wisdom.     11: God’s Strategy For Civil Conquest 2 of 7 - WITNESS

    No nation can become a Christian nation unless a critical mass of people come to know Jesus Christ personally as their Savior and Lord. Therefore, the second of God’s seven strategies – WITNESS!Christians must become witnesses - everywhere witnessing for Christ. We must be engaged with Jesus’s mission to save souls in our cities. Only with a critical mass of genuine Christians can we transform a city or nation for the glory of God and fulfill Jesus’s Great Commission.No spiritual leader can fulfill His charge He has been given to do from the Lord if he does not “do the work of an evangelist.” This is the Lord’s charge to every spiritual leader “in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus” (2 Tim. 4:1-5):“I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”Spiritual leaders that only teach and don’t do the work of an evangelist are not fulfilling their ministry or charge from God and Christ Jesus. Here are the reasons why a spiritual leader does not do the work of an evangelist:* Paul said, “do the work…” Work is hard. Who wants to do hard work? But that’s why Paul prefaced the command – “endure hardship, do the work…”* Here’s the big excuse – “I don’t have the gift of an evangelist.” But Paul didn’t say be an evangelist but to do the work of an evangelist – the work of going out and WITNESSING for Christ! Go out to the lost and tell them the Good News. Every Christian can do that, and every spiritual leader is charged in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus to do that work to FULFILL their ministry!Jesus said, “everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be LIKE his teacher” (Luke 6:40). He will NOT say everyone will be like the teaching but like the teacher. Congregations are not witnessing to the lost because their spiritual leaders are not out witnessing to the lost. It all starts with leaders – LEADING!Then spiritual leaders can and will equip all their flock to witness.Church Leaders Are To EquipWhat did the apostle Paul command church leaders to do (Eph. 4:12):“Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”If someone is going to build up a family, it starts with having children born into the family. To work to build up the church, it starts with having spiritual children, as Jesus said, being “born again” … into the family of Christ. And that starts with witnessing!Now this is what is necessary to know (Rom. 10:13-17):“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? …“So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.”No witnessing = no hearing = no one getting saved! As Paul said, “sow sparingly and reap sparingly or sow bountifully and reap bountifully.”All Christians MUST witness! And all church leaders are “responsible” to equip all Christians in their church to be effective witnesses! The New Testament strategy for bringing people to Christ was NOT to invite the unsaved to church … but to equip the saints to GO OUT of church and witness to everyone everywhere! “To equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church.”The New Testament leaders equipped all their believers to go out and witness everywhere (Acts 8:4):“But all the believers were scattered everywhere telling the Good News about Jesus wherever they went!”“All the believers” were equipped to witness!True Followers of Jesus Will WitnessJesus said to all His disciples (Acts 1:8):“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be My witnesses, telling people about Me everywhere.”God has made sure that every Christian will have “power,” and for what purpose - to witness! The Holy Spirit is in every Christian to give them “power.” Do you know what the Greek word for “power” is? It is where we get the English word “dynamite!” As a Christian you have dynamite power … for what purpose - to witness!Did God given you dynamite power so you would be able to go to church? For making money? To have a family? Any non-Christian can do any of these things, and they do! You don’t need “dynamite power” to even do many good works for Christ. Many non-Christians do many good works.So why don’t most Christians witness? They have some fear. But the moment a Christian opens their mouth to witness for Jesus, you will find it like lighting a fuse of dynamite. Power will explode inside you. You already have the dynamite of the Holy Spirit in you. Opening your mouth is the match that lights the fuse. But never before you open your mouth.Do you remember what the Apostle Paul said about himself when he first came to Corinth to witness about Jesus (1 Cor. 2:3-5):“I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.”Do you not witness because you feel weak, or afraid, or lack knowledge? Congratulations! You qualify to be an apostle! That’s just how Apostle Paul felt!Paul was so nervous to witness that he couldn’t keep his hands or knees from “trembling.” Now what other excuse do you or I have? Personally, I have felt that way many times, maybe all the time, right before I open my mouth to preach or witness for Christ. But soon as I open my mouth for Jesus the Holy Spirit power takes over. I’m always amazed seeing and experiencing what the Holy Spirit does at the time.Being weak or fearful in any way doesn’t make you less effective but rather more effective because it is then that the listeners can see there is another power moving you. I can’t tell you how many times after preaching or witnessing that I’ve been amazed at how the Holy Spirit worked speaking through me, like I was an outside observer, which I was.Regardless, what you feel or experience or if you feel nothing, what Jesus said He would do every time we witness should be enough to excite us (Matt. 10:32):“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.”I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty cool to think how I can get Jesus in heaven right now to turn to the Heavenly Father and tell Him - “Father, there Jim goes again, acknowledging Me before others!” I’d like to keep Jesus busy doing that. What about you? Jesus tells us to witness for Him here on earth and He tells the Father in heaven every time we do!Did you know every time in the Book of Acts, all 6 times, when it says that any Christians were filled with the Holy Spirit - it was ALWAYS when they were witnessing to non-Christians? So today if you want to be filled with the Spirit and see the Holy Spirit explode in your life - WITNESS! If you want to obey Jesus - WITNESS! If love Jesus - WITNESS! If you love anyone – WITNESS!It’s easy to witness. It’s just taking about Jesus:* Tell what you thought of Jesus before you were saved.* Tell when, why, and how you started to seriously think about Jesus.* Tell all about what happened when you received Jesus.* Tell how you were saved.* Tell why you received Jesus.* Tell what happened in your life right after you received Jesus.* Tell how your life has been changing since you received Jesus.* Tell why and how Jesus is so wonderful or meaningful to you today.You can be a witness for Jesus with just one sentence or give more details as above. Most important, memorize gospel verses that you can share. You can share many for more understanding for the listener or even one will penetrate the heart - “the Word is living and powerful!” Here are a few verses I would memorize which the Lord will be able to speak through you:* John 1:12* John 3:16* John 10:10* John 14:6* Romans 3:23* Romans 6:23* Romans 10:9-11* Ephesians 8:9-10* Revelation 3:20If you are a true follower of Jesus what will happen to you (Matt. 4:19; Acts 1:8):“Jesus said, follow Me and I will make you fishers of men!”“You will be My witnesses!” Get full access to Jim McCotter LIVE at jimmccotter.substack.com/subscribe

    10: God’s Strategy For Civil Conquest 1 or 7 - EKKLESIA (b)

    The apostle Paul certainly understood “church” to be politically active, per the church’s original ekklesia design:* The Lord told Paul he was to specifically go and speak “to kings” (Acts 9:15).* Paul told Timothy the church’s “first” priority is to affect “kings and all who are in authority” (1 Tim. 2:1-4).* Paul told Christians to set up their “own judges” (1 Cor. 6:1-5).* Paul and those with him were committing treason in “turning the world upside down” declaring “Jesus as King” in place of Caesar (Acts 17:6-7).So Christ’s ekklesia “church” was never a building but rather Christians who were political activists:* “Seek first the Kingdom of God” (God’s nation with King Jesus), as Jesus commanded (Matt. 6:33).* “Discipling the nation” (law & government), as Jesus commanded (Matt. 18:19).* “Ambassadors for Christ” (representing His Kingdom), as Paul commanded (2 Cor. 5:20).* “Royal priests” (servants of the King), as Peter declared (1 Peter 2:9).* “A holy nation” (a civic body), as Peter declared (1Peter 2:9).This vision will explode “building up the body of Christ,” but can only happen when pastors see this as Christ’s vision and their mission to stop preaching nice sermons but understand their responsibility (Eph. 4:12):“Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the body of Christ.”The opposite of this is what Paul warns against (2 Tim. 4:3-4 TLB):“For there is going to come a time when people won’t listen to the truth but will go around looking for teachers who will tell them just what they want to hear. They won’t listen to what the Bible says but will blithely follow their own misguided ideas.”Paul said (Acts 20:27 NASB):“For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God!”The church is to be God’s battle station for equipping God’s people to Christianize their cities and nation. It is not to just be a sweet Christian social club but rather to mobilize Christians to transform your city and nation to literally be “One Nation Under God!” That can ONLY be one nation under King Jesus and God’s Law.Every church is commissioned to obey Jesus’s Great Commission regardless of how much liberty any nation gives Christians. All unrighteous rulers should be an abomination to all righteous people (Prov. 29:27):“The righteous are an abomination to the unrighteous and the unrighteous are an abomination to the righteous.”God declares what the righteous must do to have political success (Prov. 21:12 NLB):“The righteous wisely considers the place of the wicked and overthrows the wicked for their wickedness.”Churches rejecting the use of God’s Law in being politically active today are unwittingly praising the wicked (Prov. 28:4):“To reject God’s Law is to praise the wicked; to obey God’s Law is to fight them.”If you obey God’s Law, you will fight the wicked with God’s Law and that certainly includes unrighteous civil leaders. If you fight for or with any other law than God’s Law, that would be blasphemy. Only “the Law of the Lord is perfect” (Ps. 19:7).Jesus said - God’s Law is to be obeyed and taught today (Matt. 5:17-19):“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the Law of Moses … I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s Law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”In all nations, Jesus’s church can do some if not all 10 points below to transform their city and nation for the Kingdom of God. This is “seeking first the Kingdom of God”:* Have regular meetings for prayer and strategizing for political action to affect or replace your national and city leaders to follow God’s Law.* Many churches have weekend Marriage or Family Retreats to train and develop godly families. The church has NO MORE responsibility to help God’s family institution then God’s state institution! Have an annual Christian Political Action Retreat - educating, training, and mobilizing believers to take back their city and nation for the Kingdom of God.* Mobilize Christians to engage during political campaign season to get wise capable Christians in every civil office.* Have a Sunday series going through the book of Deuteronomy, God’s Law - the civil law for your city and nation. This was the book Jesus quoted from more than any others!* Have the righteous political candidates speak in your church, especially prior to elections.* Have a Registration Sunday to fulfill Jesus’s civil mandate for voting. Don’t just have a Registration Table in the vestibule. Rather, just like you’re faithful to pass a collection plate, be faithful to pass out the registration cards and pencils down the aisles. Take the time right then for everyone to fill out their registration. Then pass a collection bucket to pick up all the registrations and see that they get turned in.* Have a Voting Sunday or Political Sunday. Be fearless, deliberate, and devote at least one Sunday for God’s righteous political cause. At some time you should have a whole Sunday series on this subject. God devoted 80% of His Book (Exodus to Acts) in the exclusive context of how He deals with nations, and it was not just Israel. Realize, most of the Old and New Testament saints made political impact, to name a few: Joseph, Moses, Esther, Daniel, and most of the heroes of the faith in Hebrews 11.* Mobilize to have public political rallies (with other churches if they will join you) - prayer, music, speaking, registering everyone to vote. Right after Paul said to pray for authorities in 1 Timothy 2, he then said to have what would amount to public prayer rallies: “Therefore I want men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and dispute” (1Tim. 2:8).* Make sure everyone is reminded to vote on election day or early as they can. Take anyone that needs transportation to vote. If it’s legal, collect ballots and turn them in. Get out the Christian vote every way you can. Then God will hear your prayers.* Pursue Christians to fill all strategic civil offices: mayor, city council, school board, chief of police, sheriff, and any other local offices. Many local elections are won by only a few votes, and some positions have no one even contesting them! Only one truly New Testament ekklesia (church) could turn a city upside down today for King Jesus.There is no such thing as political versus spiritual or spiritual versus secular. With God it’s ALL spiritual (Ps. 24:1):“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”All God’s institutions are under God’s Kingdom – family, state, and church. The Lord and godly men are to rule over all three of God’s ordained institutions.Charles Finney, the great 19th century American revivalist, declared:“The church must take right ground in regard to politics… the time has come that Christians must vote… and take consistent ground in politics, or the Lord will curse them… And if he will give his vote only for honest men, the country will be obliged to have upright rulers… the church must act right, or the country will be ruined. God cannot sustain this free and blessed country, which we love and pray for, unless the church will take right ground. Politics are a part of religion in such a country as this, and Christians must do their duty to the country as a part of their duty to God. It seems sometimes as if the foundations of the nation were becoming rotten, and Christians seem to act as if they thought God did not see what they do in politics.     As we looked at previously in Jesus’s Great Commission, we saw how it was Jesus’s Civil Mandate - to go disciple and teach all nations (Matt. 28:18-20). We have already looked in detail at what that exactly and practically meant - to have godly civil servants who submit to Jesus as King and to God’s Law.Now, did God ever give a command in the Bible and not instruct us how to do it? NO, never! I know at least 7 strategic instructions that God gives us from the Old and New Testament how Christians can successfully conquer a city and nation for the Kingdom of God - for King Jesus ruling with God’s Law.Since ALL 7 strategies come from God in His Word, I would say Christians are guaranteed success - IF they obey God’s 7 strategies. Moreover, history has also proven this to always be true.EkklesiaWhat is “ekklesia?” Ekklesia is the Greek word for “church.” But when Jesus said, “I will build My church” in Matthew 16:18, it was NOT what we think of as “church” today! It was not understood to be a building or where you go to just hear a sermon, music, or maybe some other nice Christian activity.The word “ekklesia” originated in Athens, Greece, around 594 BC. The word was literally “called-out.” The word was used to “call out” citizens for a political assembly in the city to make decisions for city affairs and laws. The church (ekklesia) met regularly to strategize, elect magistrates, and address civil law.The term was later adopted in the Greek Old Testament (Septuagint) for the political assembly of Israel, and subsequently by New Testament writers representing the Believer’s assembly. Church (ekklesia) was NOT a religious term! It was the common secular word used in Israel for any church (ekklesia) of disciples schooled by any rabbi for his specific religious / political philosophy and agenda.Jesus’s disciples understood their church (ekklesia) to be for the same purpose. For that reason, they continued asking Jesus after His resurrection right up to His ascension when was He was going to overthrow Rome (Acts 1:6):“So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking Him, ‘Lord, has the time come for You to free Israel and restore our kingdom?’”Jesus confirmed that time for Israel would come (Acts 1:7)! But for now they were to go witness to the rest of the world (Acts 1:8)! But for three years Jesus was preaching about the Kingdom of God and commanded to “seek first the Kingdom of God” (Matt. 6:33). And Jesus kept talking about the Kingdom of God to the very end (Acts 1:3). Then after Pentecost the apostles established these ekklesias assemblies (churches) all over the world. The apostle Paul also kept declaring about the “Kingdom of God” in every city and nation he went to (Acts 17:2-7; 19:8; 20:25; 28:30-31; Col. 4:11; 2Thess. 1:5).In the New Testament and for over 300 years these small ekklesia groups (churches) regularly met in homes. In fact, today’s traditional “church” format is nowhere to be found in the New Testament. Today’s traditional “church” format did not start until the 4th century when Constantine the Great kicked the Roman pagans out of their big heathen temples and had the Christians start meeting in these pagan temples, and then even started building more and bigger “churches.” Christians then started following the big pagan “church” format when large crowds would come and just listen to a speaker on an elevated stage every Sunday. The new big “church” format replaced the smaller house churches where they would all bring food, share a meal together, and all would participate (Acts 2:42 NLB):“They all continually devoting themselves in the apostles teachings, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer.” Everyone contributed (1 Cor. 14: 31):“In this way, all who prophesy will have a turn to speak, one after the other, so that everyone will learn and be encouraged.” Practically speaking, large “church” meetings in the big pagan temples now made it virtually impossible to function as the New Testament house ekklesias (church).* Ekklesia met in homes regularly sharing supper together. That’s implicit in the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:42, 46; 20:7-11; 1Cor. 11:33; 2Peter 2:13; Jude 1:12; Rev. 3:20).* Ekklesia met in homes where everyone could participate (Rom. 15:14; 1Cor. 11: 4-7; 14:26-31; Col. 3:16; Heb. 10:24-25).But ekklesia also had a civil mandate to seek first in advancing a kingdom in the world, the Kingdom of God - for people individually it was to embrace Jesus as their “Savior” and for the nation it was to embrace Jesus as their “King!”The ekklesia (assembly) was so much understood as being politically active that King James I of England authorized a new English translation of the Bible, published in 1611, to image ekklesia away from political activism. King James’s new English translation did this in two ways:* To have people stop reading John Calvin’s Geneva Bible which had footnotes exposing civil authority implications and undermining the king’s monarchy.* Also, King James demanded that his bishops NOT translate “ekklesia” as “assembly,” which best defined the Greek word that revealed political gatherings. Rather the king demanded it to be translated as “church,” reflecting it as an institution and away from its political function for his own political protection.This is not to suggest that the church’s only mandate was to Christianize civil governments any more than to Christianize families or individuals. However, the State and the Family are the ONLY two other institutions God has ordained and for which ekklesia (church) is to Christianize.When the King James translation became “standardized in 1769,” within a generation the “church” began to ignore and finally today has forgotten altogether its biblical civil mandate. But in the book of Acts God makes it unavoidable clear that the word “ekklesia” was used for political civil gatherings. However, for the political civil gathering they did not there translate “ekklesia” as “church” but rather “assembly!”Three times the word “ekklesia” is used for the political civil gathering: Acts 19:32, 39, 41. Some translations avoid even translating the word “ekklesia” (assembly) in some of the verses, leaving it out altogether! But “ekklesia” is in all three verses in Greek texts. So today with Christians no longer ruling with God’s Law over Christians and non-Christians, non-Christians are now ruling over Christians and non-Christians with man’s law. Satan has hijacked God’s ordained civil institution.Bill Federer, renowned Christian historian, in his book, Who Is The King In America, also confirms and describes the original meaning and intent of the word church as “the governing body citizens in Athens was called ‘ekklesia.’”R.J. Rushdoony, Christian scholar and historian of the last century, wrote:“The early church often used the term ‘synagogue’ into the second century because they were governed by Old Testament law.” The word ‘church,’ as it is commonly understood today, does not convey the full meaning of the original use of the word. The church was more of a political term. We even see in 1 Corinthians 6:1-6 that the Apostle Paul instructed the church to settle all of their internal disputes by using their own courts.“Historically, the church was the name for the city council, the governing body of an area. In fact, during the fourth century, the church courts for the first time became just and expedient because Roman Emperor Constantine the Great had church bishop/elders wear black robes in public so that all Roman citizens would recognize them as the new Roman civil judges. This is where the tradition of ministers wearing black robes originated from.“It is no wonder that the early church was viewed with suspicion by the Roman Empire. The church was an imperium in imperio, an empire within the Roman Empire.”Is the above not what the Apostle Peter also said in reference to Christians (1 Peter 2:9):“For you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation!”The people of God clearly were, and should be today, a nation within a nation - a Christian shadow government working to have the whole nation be ruled under God’s Civil Law.Rushdoony also wrote:“The church claimed to have its own emissaries, ambassadors (2 Cor. 5:20) representing their King of kings, and its own ekklesias, governing bodies. In fact, the original word for “parish” is “paroikia,” which means “embassy.” All of the above terms are related to political governance.“An ambassador has extraterritorial sovereign rights and powers, as an embassy does. And this is why the ekklesia, from the beginning, refused to submit to Roman licensure, or taxation, or regulation. If the church, the ekklesia of Christ, turns from God’s Law, it turns from God’s Kingdom to the kingdom of man. This is a form of apostasy and treason to God and His Law.“The one whose law we submit to as our social bond is our Lord and Savior. Is it the state or is it God? The church, as God’s governing council, must be governed by God’s Law, according to 1 Corinthians 6. Its members must obey and apply God’s Law. To seek justice in man’s law is to deny that God is the only source of law and justice. For the Corinthian Christians, the choice should have been obvious: it was to be either God’s Law or Greco-Roman law.”For Believers, the Apostle Paul was clear (1 Cor. 6:1):“How dare you go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints?”However, this does not mean that if we are apprehended or under secular authority in some way we should not appeal to whatever law we can for our benefit. Paul appealed to Caesar but only because he had been apprehended by Caesar’s authorities (Acts 25:8–11).In early America, judges and juries used the Bible as their law.     8: Jesus, John, & Paul - Political Activists

    JesusWhat most Christians don’t realize today when they read the gospels is that every time Jesus contended with the Sadducees or Pharisees about the “law” or the “religious law” or the “law of Moses” or “God’s Law,” it was at that time the civil law of Judea. Rome allowed Judea to be ruled by their own law (Mosaic Civil Law) and their own civil leaders (Sadducees and Pharisees), as long as they paid their taxes, did not riot, and got Pilate “rubber stamp” approval for any capital punishment.To understand the context of the Gospels it’s necessary to understand the following Biblical Definitions:* Mosaic Law: The constitution and civil law of Judea during the time of Jesus. Jesus was continually condemning the Pharisees for violating God’s civil law - by adding to it, taking away from it, twisting it, or ignoring it.* Sanhedrin: This was made up of 70 of the two political parties, Pharisees and Sadducees, plus the High Priest. This was their civil government with their supreme religious, legal, and administrative council, acting as the highest Jewish court of justice. It combined its two-branch government - supreme court and executive branch. God’s Law eliminated the need for a legislature. The Sanhedrin was their national central government located in Jerusalem, and it was called the “Great Sanhedrin.” In all the other towns in Judea there were the “Lesser Sanhedrins.” Each town with its Lesser Sanhedrin had 23 Pharisee / Sadducee civil leaders for its judges.* Scribes: They were the civil lawyers of the Mosaic Law, their Constitution. They examined the more difficult and subtle legal questions of the Law. They were enrolled in the Sanhedrin to provide constitutional critique for the Sadducees and Pharisees.* Sadducees: The Sadducees political party held the controlling civil majority in the Sanhedrin. The High Priest, Caiaphas, was also a Sadducee. They were the more wealthy and aristocratic party and collaborated more with Roman authorities and the Hellenistic culture. Though they only accepted God’s written Law, the Torah. Nonetheless, they did not believe in any resurrection or any life after death, which Jesus corrected them on.* Pharisees: They were the party of the more common people. They accepted God’s written Law but also believed in adhering to their own added oral traditions, their “Oral Torah.” Jesus was continually condemning them for this. Nonetheless, they continued to add more oral law which was later called the Talmud. However, they did believe in resurrection, angels, demons, and an afterlife. The Pharisees were the larger of the two political parties and had the most influence on the common people. The Pharisees were in opposition to Rome and all Roman influence and often opposed them. They were especially looking for their Messiah to come and liberate them from Rome.With the Sadducee / Pharisee government, they were all claiming to follow God’s Law, though like many Christians today, they were blind in seeing the correct justice of God’s Law and especially God’s Law being of “love,” as both Jesus and Paul described it. Jesus quoted from the Law in Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18 (Matt. 22:37-40):“‘You shall LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself.’ Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”The Apostle Paul described God’s Law being all about love (Rom. 13:10; Gal. 5:14):“LOVE is the fulfillment of the Law … For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “LOVE your neighbor as yourself.”Jesus condemned the religious political Pharisees because they were not administering the civil law according to God’s civil Law of justice and love (Luke 11:42):“You ignore justice and the love of God.”As a political activist Jesus did not hesitate to condemn the Pharisaic civil leaders (John 8:44):“Your father is the devil.”There is one government today structurally imitating God’s government structure, who Jesus would condemn today as their father being the devil - the Muslim religious civil rulers. They are certainly as bad as were the Pharisaic religious civil rulers. In fact, just as the Muslim religious leaders are the civil rulers in their country, in principle that is exactly what the Pharisee / Sadducee religious rulers were as civil rulers.With the Muslims today, Satan has made them so ugly in the eyes of Christians, as their religion truly is, that it has blinded most to see how Satan has imitated some of God’s principles for godless success. Muslims not only imitate God’s government structure but also God’s Bible with their Quran, and God’s Law with their Sharia law. Satan has even had them identified as a “theocracy.” What a mockery! The word “theocracy” literally means “God rules.” But with the Muslims it is not God but their demonic moon god Allah that rules. Their father is truly the devil just like Jesus fearlessly called out the Pharisees. Today Jesus would call the Muslim ruler’s god, the devil, and therefore so should we. Through Satan the Muslims have outwardly imitated everything of God:* God’s Kingdom – Muslim kingdoms* The Bible – the Quran* God’s Mosaic Law – Allah’s Sharia law* Theocracy (God ruling) – “Theocracy” (Allah ruling)The term “theocracy” originates form the Ancient Greek 1st century term “theokratia”, coined by the Roman Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus, to describe a government where God is recognized as the Supreme Ruler. The word “theocracy” is derived from theos (God) + kratos (rules). The word literally means “God rules.” The word first appeared in 1600 AD in the English language describing - Christians ruling under King Jesus - known as the Protestant Reformation.Josephus coined the word to describe the unique Hebrew government, with God’s Law, differentiating it from monarchies or democracies. Today Satan has hijacked the word for “God’s rule,” but which actually describes the devil’s civil rulers, as Jesus calls them. And even more amazing, there is no word in the English language for “Satan rules,” which actually does describe the Muslim rulers. So I have coined a new honest word for us today that we should always use when referring to Muslims ruling: sata (Satan) + kratos (rules) = “Satakracy” (Satan rules).Do you realize that Jesus was the greatest moral political activist in the world! He preached it and He commanded His disciples to preach the same. Jesus said, (Matt. 6:33):“Seek first the Kingdom of God!”A kingdom is a nation with a king and Jesus as the “King of kings!” Jesus sent His disciples out everywhere to announce His Kingdom (Matt. 10:7):“Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”Jesus’s final Great Commission began by Jesus declaring (Matt. 28:18):“All authority has been given unto to Me in heaven and on earth!”That must include all civil authority. And this is not just for some future millennial reign, but for Jesus to also have all civil authority today! Therefore Christians should be announcing the same thing everywhere today, demanding that Jesus be recognized and honored as our nation’s KING: “Jesus… Supreme Ruler… and King of kings!” This is exactly what the Apostle Paul was publicly declaring (Col. 2:10; 1Tim. 1:17, 6:15):“Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority … Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever … He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords!”Jesus became “Savior” when He died on the cross for our sins, but when Jesus rose from the dead He became - “KING of kings” - “Then Jesus said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me!’”Did you realize that EVERY TIME Jesus contended with the Pharisees about the Law, He was being a political activist? For it was God’s Mosaic Law that was to be the civil law of Judea. Jesus was constantly condemning and correcting the Pharisees about the Law. Furthermore, Jesus told us to pray for His will to be done on earth today - which would be for Him ruling as King of kings with God’s Law in every nation on earth today (Matt. 6:10):“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”Therefore, we are to pray and work that King Jesus rules in our cities and nation “on earth” today … “as it is in heaven.” Jesus was the world’s greatest political activist - always declaring to the Pharisee/Sadducee civil leaders to obey only God’s civil Law - even being crucified for it!JohnWhat did Jesus say about John the Baptist (Matt. 11:11):“I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist.”What is especially revealing is the fact that Jesus said this about John the Baptist after he was thrown into prison for publicly condemning the highest civil authority in the land, King Herod. John was not put in prison for preaching the gospel. He was thrown into prison for publicly and repeatedly condemning the top civil authority for violating God’s Law regarding marriage, “and for many other wrongs he had done” (Luke 3:19). Herod was not disobeying Roman law, only God’s Law. John the Baptist was ultimately martyred for publicly condemning Herod for breaking God’s Law.John the Baptist was truly a political activist! And according to Jesus, “none is greater than John the Baptist.” Have you thought of the 6 examples that we should apply from John the Baptist:* God’s Law is not just for believers but also for all civil authorities to obey.* Christians should publicly condemn any civil authority if they violate any of God’s Law.* The specific part of God’s Law that the authority violates should be publicly identified and proclaimed.* All civil authorities, including the highest civil authority, should be publicly condemned when they violate God’s Law.* The civil authority should persistently and publicly be condemned when violating any part of God’s Law.* Christians should never feel ashamed to publicly and fearless condemn any civil authority for violating God’s Law, even if it costs us our lives.After Jesus, John the Baptist was the world’s greatest political activist - even being beheaded for it!PaulThe Apostle Paul was also a public political activist. God even said that Paul would specifically be going to kings (Acts 9:15):“Go, for Saul [Paul] is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings.”Paul and “all” the Christians were political activists turning the world upside down for Jesus to be KING instead of Caesar (Acts 17:6-7):“Not finding them there, they dragged out Jason and some of the other believers, and took them before the Council instead. ‘Paul and Silas have turned the rest of the world upside down, and now they are here disturbing our city,’ they shouted, ‘and Jason has let them into his home. They are ALL guilty of treason, for they claim another king, Jesus, instead of Caesar.”Paul was always preaching everywhere about having every nation as God’s Kingdom with Jesus as King:* “Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God” (Acts 19:8).* “And now I know that none of you to whom I have preached the Kingdom will ever see me again” (Acts 20:25).* “For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome ... boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God” (Acts 28:30-31).To always be proclaiming the “Kingdom of God” – is to always be proclaiming a nation under God’s Law with Jesus as King.The Apostle Paul taught in every church that Jesus is the Supreme civil Ruler and Authority on earth now:* “Jesus is far above any ruler or authority in this world” (Eph. 1:21).* “God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him Head over all things for the benefit of the church” (Eph. 1:22).* “Jesus is Supreme over all” (Col. 1:15).* “Jesus is Head over every ruler and authority” (Col. 2:10).* “All power and authority are His in the present and beyond all time” (Jude 1:25).* “Jesus is the eternal KING; He alone is God” (1 Tim. 1:17).* “Jesus is the only Sovereign, the KING of kings and LORD of lords” (1 Tim. 6:15).After Jesus and John the Baptist, the Apostle Paul was the world’s greatest political activist – also being beheaded for it!Jesus, John, and Paul taught on many subjects.     7: Paul’s Civil Mandate

    Not only Jesus but also the Apostle Paul declared for the churches to have a Civil Mandate. Moreover, Paul declares that the church’s civil mandate should be its “FIRST” priority!In Paul’s same letter he begins by declaring Jesus to be the top civil leader for all nations, with His civil royal title (1 Tim. 1:17):“King eternal!”Next Paul gives Timothy his command (1 Tim. 1:18 TLB):“Now, Timothy, my son, here is my command to you: Fight well in the Lord’s battles.”Then Paul gives the battle plan (1 Tim. 2:1-4):“ 1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”Paul declares this battle to be the “FIRST” priority for the church. And Paul “urges” for it to be done – “entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men.” But Paul specifies this specifically – “for kings and all who are in authority.” In other words, in this way God is commanding Christians to influence and affect all civil leaders! This is Paul’s CIVIL MANDATE.But for what purpose are Christians to affect civil leaders – “so that WE may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” In other words, God wants civil leaders to rule in such a way that benefits Christians! Some rulers may persecute Christians, but that is not God’s desire. Civil leaders are for God’s purpose to even “honor” Christians and to do them “good”:“For the king sends his officials … to honor those who do right” (1 Peter 2:14).“Do what is right, and they will honor you. The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good” (Rom. 13:3-4).The big question:* WHY does God want Christians to have “a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity” and WHY is this so “good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.”The big answer:* “God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”Instead of Christians being persecuted or suppressed in any way, if Christians can “lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness” and be viewed with “dignity,” that gives Christians freedom to spread the gospel and fulfill “God’s desire for all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” And if Christian messengers are viewed with “dignity” their Christian message will be viewed with dignity and respect.In summary, fulfilling Paul’s civil mandate is necessary - to reach a whole nation and the message be respected, as God said - “ALL men … to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Paul knew this was necessary for him to be successful in reaching nations with the gospel (2 Thess. 3:1-2 TLB):“I ask you to pray for us. Pray first that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and triumph wherever it goes, winning converts everywhere. Pray, too, that we will be saved out of the clutches of evil men.”The end goal of Paul’s civil mandate is to influence and affect civil leaders so that “all men,” whole nations, will “come to the knowledge of the truth.”Is Paul’s civil mandate to influence and affect civil leaders by prayer only when Christians have opportunity to do more? Of course not! The Lord even gave Paul directly a civil mandate far more than just praying (Acts 9:15):“But the Lord said, ‘Go, for [Paul] is my chosen instrument to take My message … to kings.’”Paul and the other Christians were turning the civil order upside down in the nations of the Roman Empire (Acts 17:6-7):“’Paul and Silas have turned the rest of the world upside down, and now they are here disturbing our city,’ they shouted, ‘and Jason has let them into his home. They are all guilty of treason, for they claim another king, Jesus, instead of Caesar.”The Apostle James makes it clear that if we only pray when we can do more, our faith and prayers are dead and useless (James 2:17, 20, 26):“So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless … How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless … Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.”In America we can do so much more to help fulfill God’s civil mandate than only pray. There are many good works that we can do.* Do we always vote and for capable godly men?* Are we able to financially contribute to their campaign?* Are we able to physically go and help in their campaign?* Do we ever contact our civil leaders to promote God’s civil Law?* Then do we pray what Paul said to specifically pray for our civil leaders?If we do all this the best we can, then God will hear our prayer and heal our land.     6: Jesus's Civil Mandate

    This is Jesus’s civil mandate (Matt. 28:18-20:“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”This Scripture is often referred to as Jesus’s Great Commission. These verses are usually quoted for going to share the gospel to the world. There are verses that tell us to do that, but these verses do NOT say that. The “gospel” is nowhere mentioned in these verses.Jesus’s Great Commission is actually Jesus’s Civil Mandate for us today!Look closely at Jesus’s Great Commission:* “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”It’s interesting to note that when most Christians quote Jesus’s Great Commission they usually never quote the first sentence that Jesus says! But this is the premise for Jesus’s whole Great Commission.Christians assume Jesus has all authority in heaven. But how many assume that Jesus has the same all authority here on earth right now? Therefore, this means - Jesus has all civil authority on earth - “of all nations.”This means there is no legitimate civil authority on earth unless Jesus has delegated that authority to be legitimate based on what He Himself declares is legitimate (Rom. 13:3-4):“For the [legitimate] authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong… Do what is right, and they will honor you. The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good… They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.”Moreover, Jesus’s civil authority is NOT just for the purpose of some future millennial reign. Jesus said, “it has been given to Me,” since that time. So Jesus has all civil authority now. Jesus is to be honored NOW having all civil authority. He is to be honored today in our nation as “KING of kings.”Jesus told us to pray specifically for this as well when He told His disciples what to pray (Matt. 6:9-10):“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name… your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”Jesus’s prayer is also NOT just for some future millennial time but obviously for today. What Jesus told us to pray is revolutionary! In essence, Jesus is telling us that it is HIS WILL that He be Head of State in all nations, in our nation right today.* “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.”The words “make disciples” is one word in Greek, “mathēteuō,” more often translated as “teach,” – “Therefore go and teach all nations.” Since Jesus has all authority on earth, which certainly includes all civil authority, that is why Jesus said to go and disciple or teach all nations. But Jesus did NOT say:* Go disciple or teach the church* Go disciple or teach ChristiansNO! Jesus said Go disciple and teach NATIONS i.e. governments. The definition for “nations” is NOT individuals or even a people-group of individuals. A nation by definition is - a people-group under a civil government via civil rulers with civil laws. Discipling people without teaching civil rulers to be under King Jesus and God’s civil Law - is NOT obeying Jesus’s national Great Commission!Satan, who always tries to displace Jesus, knows very well what Jesus’s Great Commission is. Communists are zealous for working day and night to disciple nations – for cities and nations to be under Communist socialistic laws. Should Christians be any less zealous in obeying Jesus’s Great Commission to disciple nations to be under King Jesus and His civil Law?* First, we must understand what Jesus’s Great Commission really is.* Second, we must believe it can happen. Would Jesus ever command something today that we cannot do and that He would not expect us to do, especially with His help?16th Century Christians correctly understood and believed they could and should obey Jesus’s Great Commission. 16th Century European Christian Reformers took over many cities and nations replacing man’s laws with God’s Law. Early Christian Americans did the same. They established every American colony and town as Christian towns, putting in place God’s Law as their civil law.During the last century Marxist Communists started taking over many nations, putting in place Marxist socialistic laws. Over 40 years ago the Marxist’s Left began taking over cities in America replacing moral policies and laws with Marxist socialistic laws and even calling their cities, “Sanctuary Cities,” actual sanctuary for criminals.The god of the Muslims also understand Jesus’s Great Commission. And they are working zealously to take over nations with their Sharia law, city by city. They have now taken control of Dearborn, Michigan, and are working hard to do the same in other cities in America. In England they have 60 districts they are now controlling with their godless Sharia law.The god of the Mormons imitates Christianity and also understands Jesus’s Great Commission. The Mormons control Salt Lake City and most of Utah and are working towards controlling their neighboring States.Muslims, Mormons, and Leftists are all taking over cities in America today. If they are able to do that with their gods - where are the Christian cities with our God of gods? Where is even ONE Christian city? Can’t Christians take over even one small little town for King Jesus and put God’s more Law in place? Does Satan empower his agents more than Jesus empowers Christians? I thought it was said:“Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.”Does any Christian think that Jesus is happy that Muslims, Mormons, and Communists are more dedicated to taking over cities for their “kingdom of darkness” than Christians are for the “Kingdom of God?” Really? Especially when Jesus said He has “all authority on earth,” which can also be translated “all power on earth!”* “Baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”The word “baptize” in Greek is “baptizō.” This word occurs 86 times in 65 verses in the New Testament. The Greek lexicon defines this word was used in different ways: “to immerse, to submerge, to cleanse, to wash, to clean, to bathe, to overwhelm.” Every translator decides which word they want to use.But today in our society when we hear the English word “baptize,” Christians think of it as water baptism of new believers. But most of the time in the New Testament the word “baptize” was NEVER used in reference to believer’s baptism. Believer’s baptism was used only once in the thirteen different ways the word was used in the New Testament:* Matt. 3:6 Pre-Pentecost baptism* Matt. 3:11 Holy Spirit baptism* Matt. 3:11 Fire baptism* Matt. 20:22 Suffering baptism* Matt. 28:19 Nation baptism* Mark 7:4 Food baptism* Luke 11:38 Hand’s baptism* Acts 2:38 Believer’s baptism* Rom. 6:3 Christ death baptism* 1 Cor. 10:2 Moses’ cloud baptism* 1 Cor. 12:13 One-body baptism* 1 Cor. 15:29 For dead baptism* Gal. 3:27 Into Christ baptismMoreover, when new Believers were “water baptized” in the book of Acts, they were NEVER baptized “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” The following verses are ALL the verses in Acts that says what the name new Believers were only baptized in:* Acts 2:38: “baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.”* Acts 8:16: “baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”* Acts 10:48: “baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.”* Acts 19:5: “baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”When the word “baptizing” is being used in the Great Commission it is NOT talking about water baptism but rather in the context of baptizing “nations,” just how baptizing is used in context in every other place in the New Testament. Moreover, “baptizing them” is NOT referring to baptizing disciples, since the Greek word “mathēteuō,” to “make disciples of all nations” or “teach all nations” is a verb. Therefore, the pronoun “baptizing them” refers to the only noun “nations” -- “baptizing [nations] in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”So we don’t obviously water baptize governments or nations, but as the Greek would also read, we can “cleanse all nations” or “overwhelm all nations in the name [authority / power] of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Moreover, Jesus proceeded to tell us exactly how to “baptize” the nations in His name (authority / power) -- teaching [nations] to obey everything Jesus commanded.* “And teaching them [nations] to obey everything I have commanded you.”Jesus did not say, “teaching them to know everything I commanded” A pastor might teach his congregation to know God’s Word. But when it comes to teaching a nation – civil rulers and God’s civil Law - we would be teaching the nation to obey.Everything Jesus commanded He summarized from God’s Law (Matt. 22:37-40):“Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”Jesus’s two commands here were taken straight from God’s Law (Deut. 6:5 & Lev. 19:18). In fact, everything Jesus commanded was from God’s Law (Matt. 5:17-19):“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the Law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s Law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”Jesus followed these verses in saying HOW to keep God’s Law, NOT to displace God’s Law, as some wrongly teach today. Otherwise, Jesus would be contradicting Himself in His same sermon. In brief, what followed is Jesus explaining HOW to avoid disobeying His Law, it comes from the heart. Here are His first two examples:* To avoid murder - don’t get angry and call someone a fool, rather go and get reconciled with them (Matt. 5:21-26).* To avoid adultery - don’t look at a woman to lust after her (Matt. 5:27-30).Jesus was not annulling the Law to replace it with what someone says or thinks. If that were the case it would be alright to murder, just don’t get angry or call them a bad name. Or, it would be alright to commit adultery, just don’t lust about it. Jesus never undermined the Law; He perfectly fulfilled it all. Jesus’s Great Commission is a civil mandate to teach nations to obey Him, as He perfectly obeyed in fulfilling God’s Law.* “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”This is the only place in all the gospels where Jesus said this. Why do you think He said it here? He just gave His Great Commission to literally “overwhelm” all nations! That can only be done in the authority of His Name and with His presence – “to the very end of the age.” This means that Jesus’s Great Commission can and must be done in our nation TODAY.Jesus also said (Luke 18:27):“What is impossible with man is possible with God.”Think how Moses felt when God told him alone -- go start a whole new nation with slaves, march them out from under the most powerful Empire in the world. Do you think Jesus’s Great Commission is any harder than God’s Great Commission to Moses (Ex. 3:10-12):“So now, go… But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?’ And God said, ‘I will be with you!’”God gave Moses no more promise than Jesus has given us – “I will be with you!” Moses did not know ahead of time all the miracles God was going to do for him to succeed. Moses would have never see the power of God had he not gone. We will never know or see all the miracles God will do for us if we don’t set out to disciple cities and nations – to teach civil rulers God’s Law.No one will ever see the greatness of God until they GO. No one will ever walk on water like Peter until they get out of the boat. Only one got out of the boat.Jesus said (Mark 5:36):“Fear not, only believe.”Jesus said (Matt. 17:20):“You don’t have enough faith. I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”God said (Heb. 11:33):“And by faith men conquered nations!”Would God not be honored today if men by faith conquer a city or nation for King Jesus and His glory? The Christian Reformers conquered nations by faith for His glory.     5: What Determines A Christian Nation

    A nation’s civil law determines what kind of a nation it is. Only a nation that establishes God’s Civil Law is a Christian nation - God’s Ten Commandments, Statutes, and Judgments. Only then can a nation honestly declare it is - “One Nation Under God!”The implementation of God’s “perfect Law of liberty” would virtually resolve every problem facing America or any nation today. If you think not, you either don’t know God or His Law very well. To understand why and how this would be the case is explained in greater detail in the other three volumes of Christian Manifesto. But here are some of the issues that God’s Law would dramatically reduce:* Crime* Immorality* Broken families* Murdering unborn babies* Onerous regulations* Crooked politicians* Unfair justice* Greedy lawyers* Rigged juries.* Election fraud* Special interest groups* Bureaucratic system* Gun controls* The prison system* The Federal Reserve* Money manipulation* The Internal Revenue Service* Oppressive taxation* Eminent domain* Welfare* Insurance* Immigration* All the “isms”: Multiculturalism, pluralism, polytheism, racism, socialism, globalism, Marxism, Communism, etc.Why would any Christian want to forfeit God’s perfect never-changing Law for the forever-changing fallible laws of man?Under God’s LawGod’s Law design for the nation of Israel was to be God’s civic model for ALL nations - a biblical constitutional republic - God’s Law governed by God’s people.* Under God’s Law - Israel was the first recorded instance of an entire nation ruled without a physical king. For the first 400 years of Israel, the Lord God was their King and His Law was their civil law.* Under God’s Law - everyone in the nation was to be treated equally. This was the first law like this anywhere in the world (Deut. 1:17):“You shall not respect persons in judgment; but you shall hear the poor as well as the rich.”* Under God’s Law - male and female are created in the image of God, possessing God given rights, which government has no right to take away. Rather, government is to protect everyone’s individual rights, and especially unheard of, for all women. This was the first nation in the world with this law.* Under God’s Law - there were only 613 infallible never-changing laws that addresses every issue a nation faces. Only the wisdom of God could make such a perfect and complete Law. And God’s Law is full of love (Lev. 19:18):“You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against anyone. Love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.”* Under God’s Law - foreigners could not have any civil authority and had to obey God’s Law but were to be loved and have equal justice (Lev. 19:34):“The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”* Under God’s Law - anyone could believe whatever they wanted to, they just could not promote false gods contrary to the Lord God and His Law. That would be treason and a capital offense (Deut. 13 & 17), like any other nation that has capital offense for subversion of their law and constitution.* Under God’s Law - it provided a system for honest commerce (Lev. 19:36 & Prov. 11:1):“Your scales and weights must be accurate and honest. Your containers for measuring dry materials or liquids must be honest and accurate… A false balance is an abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is His delight.”* Under God’s Law - land was permanently titled to families. This contrasted with most of the world, where kings granted land to loyal vassals, or as in Egypt, where only pharaohs owned land. Israel’s land was called the “Promised Land” because the people actually owned title to their land. This prevented a dictator from gathering up the land and putting the people into slavery. If a person owned land, they could accumulate possessions. Karl Marx condemned this as “capitalism.” The Bible called this being “blessed.”* Under God’s Law - there were few people needing welfare. The poor in many godless nations became beggars and were never taken care of and discarded like trash. God’s Law had a bureaucracy-free two command welfare system:* One - when everyone harvested their fields, they were to leave the gleanings for the poor. The poor needed to work to get free food, going out into the fields to gather up the gleanings. This gave them some dignity in working for their food. Also, the farmers were blessed in seeing their gleanings going directly to people in need.* Two - they had a once in three-year local food tithe. This was not administered by some unknown distant bureaucrat but directly by the local people to their local poor. This law was good in several ways. People could see exactly where their food tithe was going, eliminating fraud, and making sure food was only going to the truly deserving poor. The contributor could be blessed seeing the fruit of their contribution. Finally, the amount of food was enough to be stored up to last for some time and not to be tithed again for three more years. This gave the poor person incentive and time to get “back on their feet” and develop their own self-supported living.* Under God’s Law - there is no police force and no need for one. Americans had no police force for 300 years, from the 17th century until around the 20th century, during the time America was promoting God’s Law - the Ten Commandments, to love the Lord God with all your heart, and to love your neighbor as yourself … and not violate their neighbor, lest they receive swift and equal justice. Everyone was responsible to keep God’s Law themselves and responsible to help enforce the Law, a type of community “deputization.”* Under God’s Law - there were no prisons and no need for one. God’s Law requires swift and equal justice. If someone died at the hands of another, the perpetrator had to immediately flee to a “City of Refuge” and await fair and just trial to see if it was an accident, self-defense, or intentional killing i.e., murder. Because of the wisdom in God’s Law, it is much easier to determine what is just without continual appeals. If the verdict was murder, he would be put to death without delay.If the perpetrator did not flee to a “City of Refuge” and the victim’s family, relatives, or others found him, they were “deputized” to legally put him to death. This successfully eliminated the need for prisons. When God’s Law was applied in Israel murder was rare. This was also true in early America when it was more closely following God’s Law. Neither was there a need for a prison system. The primary prison system did not start in American until the 20th century, especially promoted by the unbiblical early Progressive movement.As America has turned away from God’s Law - today there are literally thousands of prisons with millions of prisoners. This is costing Americans over $180 billion dollars every year and impacting our economy over $350 billion dollars annually… and cities are full of crime! This alone should be enough reason for Christians and even non-Christians to demand a return to God’s Civil Law immediately.* Under God’s Law - Israel was the first nation in the world where everyone was taught to read. At the time Moses and the Children of Israel left Egypt:* The Hittite language had 375 cuneiform characters.* The Indus Valley Harappan language had 417 symbols.* The Luwian language of Anatolia had over 500 logographic hieroglyphs.* The Akkadian language in Mesopotamia had over 1,500 Sumerian cuneiform characters.* The Egyptian language had over 3,000 hieroglyphic characters.* The Chinese language had nearly 10,000 pictogram and ideogram characters.When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, he not only had the Ten Commandments, but he had them in only a 22-character alphabet! With so few characters, everyone, including children, could learn to read. Parents and grandparents taught their children to read God’s Word and obey it.In most countries, reading and writing were skills only for kings, pharaohs, emperors, and their scribes, ruling class and some merchants. But God’s Law views all people being no less important than kings, as all being created in God’s image.Since The Time Of ChristIn Acts 17:7, the disciples were described as already serving Jesus as their King instead of Caesar. The very fact that Rome persecuted, imprisoned, and murdered Christians demonstrated that the Romans understood that the kingdom the Christians preached and lived was an existing rival kingdom.Had Christianity been considered a religion like it mostly is today, Rome would not have concerned itself with Christianity any more than it did with any of the other religions in its realm. But Christendom’s King, His kingdom, and His civil Law posed a major threat to the survival of the pagan Roman Empire. In 324 AD, with the Christian conversion of the Roman Emperor Constantine and with the council and direction of Christian leaders, the Roman Empire was transformed from pagan rule and law to following more closely God’s Law and Jesus as King.Though history revisionists have influenced many today to think Constantine was bad or a hypocrite, he did in fact replace the pagan Roman law with much of God’s Law. And I tend to believe what the Christians say about Constantine in his time than non-Christians or Christians today think about him. The Christians in his time gave him the title of Constantine the Great. He did wonderful things for the Christians and the Kingdom of God.Christ’s kingdom in nations today is mostly under the rule of non-Christians. Not because it has yet to be established, but because many Christians have been taught the theological lie of the last century that the Kingdom of God does not exist on earth at this time. They have consequently abdicated leadership of society and civic governance, to no longer be the “head” but think it’s “spiritual” to be the “tail.” The church has become governmentally and culturally impotent today, focusing on itself instead of the outward mission Jesus said - “to be the salt of the earth… and the light of the world.”But God says to His people (Deut. 18:13):“If you listen to the commands of the Lord your God and carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.”However, God goes on to say (Deut. 28:15-44):“But if you refuse to listen to the Lord your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you… they will be the head, and you will be the tail!”The Kingdom was the focus of Jesus’s earthly ministry and is the central issue of the entire Bible. The phrases “the Father’s Kingdom,” “the Kingdom of God,” “the Kingdom of heaven,” “the heavenly Kingdom,” “the Kingdom of Christ,” “the gospel of the Kingdom,” and the word “Kingdom” appears 146 times in the New Testament.What the Apostle Paul taught can be summarized in two words - King and Kingdom (Acts 28:30-31):“For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ.”Because the Kingdom of God is in existence today, our principal objective as Ambassadors of the King of kings (2 Cor. 5:20), is to please our King and advance His Kingdom. That is the mission of the Church, with the gospel only being the first step. Being faithful ambassadors, this certainly includes pursuing Christians to be the civil leaders implementing God’s “perfect Law of liberty” (James 1:25).What’s inscribed on the Liberty Bell should be enough for us to know how early Americans promoted God’s Law by quoting God’s Law on the Liberty Bell (Leviticus 25:10):“Proclaim LIBERTY Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants Thereof.”Jesus made clear what priority the Kingdom of God should be to those of us who claim to follow Him - Jesus commanded (Matt. 6:33):“Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God!”Christians had a practical understanding of this in 1643 when the colonies of New Plymouth, Massachusetts, and New Haven, Connecticut formed the New England Confederation. Their purpose in coming to America was only to advance the Kingdom of God. They put it in writing (Historical Collections Phil., Pa: T. Dobson, 1792, vol. 2, p.1.):“We all came into these parts of America with one and the same end and aim, namely, to advance the Kingdom of our Lord and Jesus Christ.”“Government” has become a dirty word to many Christians. But this thinking is an aberration from that of the Christians who first came to America from Europe. They looked upon government as a holy ordinance of God for the purpose of advancing the Kingdom of God here on earth. William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, wrote in Pennsylvania’s Charter, Dec. 17, 1682:“Whereas the glory of Almighty God and the good of mankind is the reason and end of government and, therefore, government in itself is a venerable ordinance of God. And forasmuch as it is principally desired and intended by the Proprietary and Governor and the freemen of the province of Pennsylvania and the territories thereunto belonging to make and establish such laws as shall best preserve true Christian civil liberty in opposition to all unchristian, licentious, and unjust practices.”If you want to see how God intervenes in the affairs of nations, read 2 Chronicles in the Bible. Repeatedly, generation after generation, without one exception, when the civil leaders were righteous, following God’s civil Law, the whole nation and all the people were greatly blessed and had peace and great prosperity.When the civil leaders were unrighteous, not following God’s civil Law, without exception, the whole nation began to suffer greatly under the judgment of God from “foreigners, wars, diseases, troubles, and loss of prosperity.” However, if or when God’s people repented and turned back to God in obeying His Law, without exception, God would show mercy and bless the nation again giving the people freedom, peace, and great prosperity.God is NOT indifferent to the affairs of nations today any more than He is to any individual today. When any individual repents to follow Jesus today, doesn’t God always forgive them and begin blessing them? When a nation or civil leader repents to follow Jesus and His Law today, will God not also always forgive and bless that civil leader and nation today? YES, and also without exception!Do you know the two last things God said in the last book of the Old Testament (Mal. 3:6, 4:4 NLB):“I am the Lord and I do not change… Remember to obey God’s Law.”Do you know that God repeated the same thing in the New Testament (Heb. 13:8; James 4:11 NLB):“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever… and your job is to obey God’s Law.” Get full access to Jim McCotter LIVE at jimmccotter.substack.com/subscribe

    4: Christian Manifesto ~ God's Authorities (b)

    The Bible tells us to submit to civil authorities that come from God, but what most Christians never think about - who defines legitimate civil authority that comes from God? A military coup who seizes power? A majority vote of a nation?Saint Augustine wrote:“Can a self-styled civil authority that oppresses a massive number of people with their unrighteous civil law have any more legitimate authority than a small pirate?”So is a person who has the most power over people God’s definition of legitimate authority? There is NOT ONE verse in the Bible that says that. But Satan deceives many Christians by even using Scripture, as he also tried to deceive Jesus through quoting Scripture.But no amount of saved or unsaved voting majority is God’s definition for His civil authorities. ONLY God defines His authorities that serve Him. Lest any Christian question this and take Scripture out of its context, God defined legitimate authorities IMMEDIATELY AFTER He said to submit to them (Rom. 13:3-4 NASB):“Rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior… Do what is good and you will have praise from the same… for he is a servant of God to you for good… for he is a servant of God.”Note the 4 characteristics of God’s definition for legitimate authorities:1. “Rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior.”2. “Do what is good and you will have praise from the same.”3. “For he is a servant of God to you for good.”4. “For he is a servant of God.”We should think of all 4 of these areas if we want to know if an authority is a legitimate authority according to God. If a civil leader does not qualify in God’s definition for civil authority, then they are illegitimate … no matter how they got into power or what anyone thinks or declares.St. Augustine wrote what most Christians for centuries understood and agreed with:“Godless civil rulers are no more than a band of robbers. Moreover, being lawless in relation to God, they are lawless and predatory in relation to men. A law that is not just is no law at all.”By the way, Martin Luther King Jr., when he was in jail for protesting for civil rights, he quoted St. Augustine - “Unjust laws are no laws at all.” Where are the pastors today publicly protesting the godless illegitimate laws of today? Is Martin Luther King the last pastor in America history that will have led in public protests and rallies against immoral laws and illegitimate authority?Does God legitimize same-sex marriages? Of course not. Does God legitimize homosexual pastors? Of course not. So with God’s marriage institution and church institution, Christians know they should never accept what is illegitimate. Yet with God’s civil institution, they unwittingly accept any authority that comes along.Any so-called authority who does not acknowledge the only legitimate Supreme Authority and His Law, such “authorities” are illegitimate, treasonous, and rebels to the ONLY one who has “all authority… on earth” - King Jesus. As Jesus said (Matt. 28:18):“ALL authority has been given unto Me … on earth.”Jesus’s authority on earth has not been revoked! Christ is not just Head of the church but also head of the State (Col. 2:10):“Christ is the Head over every ruler and authority!”If a ruler is not ruling with and for Jesus, they are ruling in opposition to Jesus! There is NO gray zone, NO in-between area. Jesus said (Luke 11:23):“Anyone who isn’t with Me opposes Me, and anyone who isn’t working with Me is actually working against Me!”Did you also know in Romans 13:4 the word for civil “servant” is the same Greek word for church “servant” i.e. “deacon,” in 1 Timothy 3:8? Both are God’s “servants” - one for civil service and one for church service. Do pastors or congregations define who is a legitimate deacon? Of course not, ONLY God and the Bible define His servants – church government or civil government. ONLY God in the Bible defines who are His legitimate civil servants / authorities.Should a congregation ever allow a man to become a deacon if they do not honor God and His Word? Of course not. If a deacon is in power and they do not acknowledge Jesus as Head of the church and do not lead according to God’s Word, does God expect Christians to still honor such a deacon as a legitimate deacon? Obviously, not! Neither should Christians honor illegitimate civil servants but work to get them out of office!How deceived pastors and Christians are who teach to honor illegitimate “authority” who actually reject the Supreme Authority - King Jesus and His Word. Jesus is the exclusive Head of the church in being called the - “Chief Shepherd.” Jesus is also the exclusive Head of the State in being called the - “King of kings.”Even our non-evangelical Founding Father, Thomas Jefferson, had a more biblical understanding of what God wants regarding civil authorities than do most pastors today. Jefferson always wore a ring that was inscribed with these words:“Rebellion to tyrants is submission to God.”And every authority is a tyrant who rebels against King Jesus and God’s Law.What Jefferson inscribed on his ring is what God also mandates (Prov. 28:4):“To reject the Law is to praise the wicked; to obey the Law is to fight them.”There would have been no Declaration of Independence and no American Revolution if early Americans, pastors and their congregations, had not believed and obeyed Scripture.Most Christians reading in the Gospels about the Pharisees and Sadducees don’t realize the political implications:* Rome let Judea be ruled under its own local law, God’s Mosaic Law.* Rome let Judea be ruled under its own local people, the Jews.* The Pharisees and Sadducees were the two political parties that were the civil rulers in Judea, ruling from the Sanhedrin.So every time Jesus was condemning and contending with the Pharisees and Sadducees about God’s Mosaic Law, it was always in reference to the civil law. In that light Jesus was a prolific political activist. Jesus called the Pharisees more than civil frauds, He called them (Matt. 23:33):“Snakes! Sons of vipers!”The Apostle Paul also said that every person either is following God the Father or is (Eph. 2:2):“Obeying the devil… and who refuse to obey God.”There is no such thing as neutrality with God. Every person is either under God or under the devil.In the Old Testament Saul was the first king over Israel. But hear what Samuel said to king Saul when he began to disobey the Word of the Lord (1 Sam. 15:23):“For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from being king!”Though Saul still maintained power over Israel, the Lord no longer viewed him as king over Israel. God “rejected” him as the civil ruler, and therefore he was no longer God’s legitimate authority or therefore to be subject to. Should any Christian ever accept any civil ruler as legitimate who God rejects?All God-fearing Christians should unite and mobilize to oust all God-dishonoring civil leaders and replace them with only true, God-fearing, legitimate civil leaders (Ex. 18:21; Deut. 1:13; 17:15):“Select from all the people some capable, honest men who fear God and hate bribes. Appoint them as leaders… Choose some well-respected men… who are known for their wisdom and understanding… one from among your brothers you shall set… over you.”Civil leaders must be “one from among your brothers.” Applied today, that would be brothers in Christ. However, not just any brothers in Christ, but brothers in Christ who have seven qualities: “capable, honest, God-fearing, bribe-hating, well-respected, having wisdom and understanding.” If Christians do not appoint civil leaders who are Christians and with these qualifications, they are civil leaders that God has not consented to or approved (Hosea 8:4):“The people have appointed kings without my consent, and princes without my approval.”So, what would a true Christian nation with God’s Law look like? First, here is what it would NOT be:* Not a state church.* Not a socialist state.* Not a state oligarchy.* Not a libertarian state.* Not a dictatorship state.* Not an ecclesiastical state.* Not a pure democracy state.* Not a state for Christians only.* Not a “theocracy” like demonic Islam.* Not a state church of any one denomination.* Not a state with legislators making up their own laws.A Christian nation is none of the above. What then is a Christian nation? A Christian nation is a nation that is governed by God’s Constitution, God’s Moral Civil Law. It is a nation that honors the Lord Jesus Christ as King of kings, and all His Law as Jesus said in the beginning and the end of Matthew (Matt. 5:17-19 & 28:18-20):“Don’t misunderstand why I have come.     Romans 13:1-4 NASB:“Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4 for he is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword for nothing; for he is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.”This New Testament Scripture confirms seven things:* God ordained and instituted His civil authorities.* God ordained everyone to be subject to His civil authorities.* God identified who are His legitimate civil authorities.* God’s legitimate civil authorities praise those who do good.* God’s legitimate civil authorities benefit those who do good.* God’s legitimate civil authorities cause fear for evil behavior.* God’s legitimate authorities put to death those who practice evil.Satan counterfeits ALL three of God’s Institutions which Christians should never honor:* Counterfeit Marriage Institution: Instead of one man / one woman, Satan counterfeits marriages with two men or two women marriages.* Counterfeit Civil Institution: Instead of godly civil authorities ruling under King Jesus with God’s Law for the good of good people, Satan has counterfeit civil authorities ruling under Satan to the suppression and detriment of good people.* Counterfeit Church Institution: Instead of godly pastors following and preaching the Bible, Satan has counterfeit pastors who do not honor the Jesus Christ as Lord or the Word of the Lord, the Bible.But in Scripture, God clearly identifies what are His legitimate marriages and legitimate pastors. Even so in Romans 13:3-4 and 1 Peter 2:14, God clearly identifies His legitimate civil authorities. In fact God gave 4 positive points in these verses to clearly identify His legitimate civil authorities:* “Rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior.”* “Do what is good and you will have praise from the same.”* “For he is a minister of God to you for good.”* “For he is a minister of God.”If a so-called “civil authority” does NOT fit God’s definition of legitimate civil authorities, they would be – illegitimate authority! Regardless of someone’s title, power, or public opinion, they are NOT legitimate authority if not according to God’s definition.A kidnapper or terrorist may have power over people - but that does not make them God’s civil authority over you. Wicked men have seized power with political coups and ruled over a nation - but that does not make them God’s defined legitimate civil authority. Some gain power by popular vote, as even Adolf Hitler did – but that did not make Hitler God’s defined legitimate civil authority over Germany. NOWHERE does Scripture validate political coups or even popular elections, as God’s definition for legitimate civil authority!ONLY Jesus has ALL authority on EARTH and whoever He delegates it to (Mat. 28:18):“ALL AUTHORITY has been given to ME in heaven AND ON EARTH!”If any so-called “civil authority” is not ruling according to the Supreme Authority as HE defined, they are not civil authorities but only masquerading as authorities and are illegitimate and treasonous to KING Jesus! If they are not under God and His Law - they are outlaws.If so-called civil “authorities” outlaw reading the Bible in school or posting up God’s Ten Commandments they should be identified as treasonous and as outlaws, not to be honored as God’s legitimate authorities. If they outlaw prayer in schools, when God commands us to “pray in every place” (1 Timothy 2:8) – they are civil outlaws and civil tyrants.So-called civil authorities who “legally” support killing babies or defend and “legalize” sodomy and homosexual marriages - they are NOT God’s civil authorities. They are civil tyrants to their KING Jesus. They are Satan’s authorities, who Jesus said, “comes only to kill, steal, and destroy” (John 10:10).Would God ever legitimize any of man’s law over His own moral Law? What an ungodly thought! How could He? Are Christians carnal or even degenerate if they are passive to treasonous civil authorities against their own Lord and Savior and His only Law?Christians who really love the Lord Jesus and His Word - will resist civil leaders who reject the Lord Jesus and His Law. The righteous will strive to replace the unrighteous civil leaders with those who will embrace King Jesus and His Law (Prov. 28:4 NLB):“To reject God’s Law is to praise the wicked; to obey God’s Law is to resist them.”God honors His followers who are zealous in resisting unrighteous illegitimate civil authorities. Here are only a few examples:* All Midwives: Exodus 1:15-21.* Ehud: Judges 3:15-23.* Rahab: Joshua 6:25; Hebrews 11:31; James 2:25; Matthew 1:5.* Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego: Daniel 3:12* Daniel: Daniel 6:9-10.* John the Baptist: Matthew 14:4; Mark 6:17-18.* Jesus: Matthew 12:1-2, 15:1-4, 21:45-46,23:2ff; Mark 8:15; Luke 13:32; John 2:13-16; 5:8-11.* All Apostles: Acts 5:29; 16:20-21; 17:6-7.* Heroes of the faith: In Hebrews 11, the majority were heroes in defying unrighteous civil authorities.What should our attitude be (Prov. 29:27 NLB):“An unrighteous man is an abomination to the righteous; and the righteous man is an abomination to the unrighteous.”Though God wants godly rulers to be His civil leaders, when God’s people abdicate and neglect their civil mandate, God lets them reap what they sow and allows wicked oppressors to have power over them to judge their nation (Prov. 16:4):“The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster.”If God’s people repent to obey the Lord again, He will restore and bless such a nation (Judges 3:7-11):“The Israelites did evil in the Lord’s sight. They forgot about the Lord their God, and they served the images of Baal and the Asherah poles. Then the Lord burned with anger against Israel, and he turned them over to King Cushan-rishathaim of Aram-naharaim. And the Israelites served Cushan-rishathaim for eight years.But when the people of Israel cried out to the Lord for help, the Lord raised up a rescuer to save them. His name was Othniel, the son of Caleb’s younger brother, Kenaz. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he became Israel’s judge. He went to war against King Cushan-rishathaim of Aram, and the Lord gave Othniel victory over him. So there was peace in the land for forty years.”Here we learn how God works with a nation. In fact there is no national exception with any nation in the Bible. If the people in a nation repent to the Lord and obey His Word, the Lord always restores that nation with freedom and blessing and with His legitimate civil leaders. Here are more examples confirming this:* Othniel: Judges 3:7-11.* Ehud: Judges 3:12-30.* Deborah & Barak: Judges 4-5.* Gideon: Judges 6-8.* Jephthah: Judges 10-12.* Samson: Judges 13-16.God’s justice and mercy are no different today regarding nations: Turn away from God and His Law and be oppressed as a nation. Turn back to the Lord and His Law and be blessed as a nation. God is - “the same yesterday, today, and forever.”God is the same with nations as with people – you reap what you sow. Except nations reap everything in this life (Gal. 6:7):“Do not be deceived—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always reap what you sow.”But the first law in Exodus to obey God’s Law and His civil mandate - is to appoint God fearing men to be your civil leaders (Ex. 18:21):“But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as leaders.”Since the time of Christ, until the last century and a half, Christians understood and embraced God’s Biblical definition of legitimate civil authorities. The European Christian Reformers established this. The early Christian Americans colonies made it part of their law, as according to God’s Law. But today… the majority of Christians don’t even vote! We are disobedient to our responsibility and our God given civil mandate. So we reap what we sow - corruption, oppression, and growing national persecution.Saint Augustine of Hippo wrote in his renowned work, City of God (IV. 4):“Indeed, that was an apt and true reply which was given to Alexander the Great by a pirate who had been seized. For when that king had asked the man what he meant by keeping hostile possession of the sea, he answered with bold pride, ‘What thou meanest by seizing the whole earth? But because I do it with a petty ship, I am called a pirate, whilst thou who dost it with a great fleet art styled Emperor.’”Also, nowhere in the Bible does God identify legitimate authorities based on how many people they have power over. If a hundred people are held hostage by any man, we call that man a terrorist. If a hundred million people are held hostage by any man, naive Christians honor him calling him the “authority.”Adolf Hitler praised the biblically incompetent German preachers who only repeated the first two verse of Romans 13:1-2:“Everyone must submit to governing authorities.”They kept repeating only the first two verses never the next two verses declaring Hitler to be illegitimate civil authority … until it was too late! The passive, popularity-seeking, German preachers never taught God’s definition for legitimate authorities (Rom. 13:3-4):“For authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right … Do what is right, and they will honor you. Authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good.”Hitler was disqualified with the first sentence in verse 3. Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller was pastor during the early years of Hitler but years later he wrote:“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”Had a critical mass of German Pastors led their congregations to rise up early enough in public street protests and public civil disobedience, God would have honored them, and they would have saved their nation and millions of innocent lives over the world.Most of the German pastors did not follow the courageous example of their German pastor forefathers – Martin Luther and his fellow pastors. During the time of Martin Luther the Roman Catholic church and the Pope had more unique civil power than many kings and princes. To openly challenge the Pope was a certain death sentence. But Luther and his fellow pastors fearlessly led open publicly revolt against unbiblical authority. Through faith and perilous times they transformed their country from demonic oppression to honoring the Bible and the life-giving Christian rule of law. Those bold pastors not only saved their country but ignited the Protestant Christian Reformation across all of Europe and soon spread to America!The word “protestant” was derived from the Latin word “protestari,” meaning “to declare publicly and one who protests!” Martin Luther and the 16th century German pastors and their fellow-Christians were in their streets publicly protesting civil oppression and unrighteousness. They publicly protested so much that they became known as the “Protesters” i.e. the “Protestants!” And that era of history became known as the “Protestant Reformation.”I hear God asking today (Ps. 94:16):“Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?”Which Christian leaders will you follow TODAY:* Leaders like the forgotten fearful pastors in the 1930’s who temporarily saved themselves but later lost their lives and their congregations … and eventually their nation and the lives of millions!* Or leaders like Martin Luther and his fellow pastors who risked their lives and reputations - who rose up in public political protest against illegitimate civil authorities and laws that were contrary to God and the Bible.     1. God’s Law - Leads People To JesusThe first purpose of God’s Law is to lead us to Christ (Gal. 3:24, 13):“The Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith… Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us.”So once we get saved by only faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, does that mean we no longer need to obey God’s Law (Rom. 3:31):“Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law.”The only thing done away with for those in Christ, is the “curse of the Law” or “the judgment of the Law.” Every place in the New Testament where it seems the Law is no more relevant for us in Christ is always and only in the context of salvation, which is a free gift and not by works of the Law.However, after we are saved God still does not want us to sin (1 John 3:4):“Everyone who sins is breaking God’s Law, for all sin is contrary to the Law of God.”But the first purpose of God’s Law is to show us our sin so we might come to Christ Jesus to be saved from the penalty of our sin (1 Cor. 15:3):“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.”2. God’s Law - Helps Christians Be More Like JesusOnce we are saved in the “new covenant”, God’s Law is then NEVER removed from us (Heb. 10:16):“This is the new covenant I will make with My people on that day, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”The first purpose of the Law is to convict us of our sin to come to Jesus. The second purpose of the Law is to obey in becoming more like Jesus (Heb. 10:14-16):“For by that one offering He forever made perfect those who are being made holy. And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For He says, ‘This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.’”In this verse we see both positional truth – “forever made perfect” and conditional truth – “being made holy.” We are now in the process of “being made holy” with the Law in our heart and mind being reminded and better able to keep it, as “the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so.”Jesus was perfect in fulfilling God’s Law (Mat. 5:17 NIV):“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”If we want to like Jesus - we will work to obey God’s Law and commandments. If we love Jesus - we will work to obey His commandments (John 14:21):“Those who accept My commandments and obey them are the ones who love Me.”Moreover, the Apostle Paul declared that we only walk in the Spirit when we do what the Law requires (Rom. 8:4):“The requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”If it was necessary for Jesus to obey God’s Law to glorify the Father, it is certainly necessary for us to obey God’s Law to glorify the Father.But there are two parts to God’s Law - Ceremonial Law and Moral Law:1) Ceremonial Law – were all the laws that could only be fulfilled by Christ when He came to the earth – reflecting His life, death on the cross for our sin and His resurrection.2) Moral Law – were all the moral laws unlike ceremonial laws. The laws which all people and nations are to follow today:* God’s Ten Commandments* God’s Statutes* God’s JudgmentsThe Apostle Paul made clear that we do NOT need to follow the ceremonial laws today unlike the moral laws today. Christ fulfilled all the ceremonial laws (Col. 2:16-17):“So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these are only shadows of the reality to come. And Christ Himself is that reality.”How much does the New Testament emphasis God’s moral law for us today? God’s Law is referred to 346 times in the New Testament.Also, in the New Testament God’s Law is referred to as His “commands & commandments” 78 times. Here are only a few references:(Mat. 5:17-19): “I did not come to abolish the Law of Moses… So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s Laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Mat. 15:3): “Jesus replied, ‘And why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?”(John 14:15): “If you love Me, obey My Commandments.”(1 John 2:4): “If someone claims, ‘I know God,’ but doesn’t obey God’s Commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth.”(1 John 5:3): “Loving God means keeping His Commandments and His Commandments are not burdensome.”When the New Testament uses the word “Scriptures” that always means the Old Testament and God’s Law. The New Testament had not been assembled until the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. In the New Testament the word “Scripture/s” is referred to 148 times. Here are just a few examples - think of what is said regarding “Scriptures”:(Rom. 15:4): “Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us.”(1 Tim. 4:13): “Until I get there, focus on reading the Scriptures to the church.”(2 Tim. 3:16-17): “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”Notice the words “All Scripture” in 2 Timothy 3:16. The Apostle Paul is saying that all the Old Testament, which includes God’s Law, is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training… for every good work.”Do you think the Old Testament and God’s moral Law is not for us today? Well, add up how many total times the New Testament referred to God’s Law (“Scriptures… Commandment/s… God’s Law”) - 572 times! Think again?* God’s Law - Makes Nations More CivilGod’s moral Law - the Ten Commandments, Statues, & Judgments - were not written just for Israel or for Christians but to also be the civil law for all nation-states, to restrain the ungodly and sinful people, as the Apostle Paul declared (1 Tim. 1:8-9):“We know that the Law is good when used correctly. For the Law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful.”The “ungodly and sinful” would certainly apply to every nation and therefore also does God’s Law. Historically, from the time of Christ until most of the 19th century, most of Christendom understood their civil mandate to have God’s Law be the civil law of their nation. That’s why in former times in Europe and even America it was Christians and Christian leaders who fomented the revolutions to establish Christian rulers and God’s Law in ruling their city-states or nation-states.The European Reformation was a result of this understanding. The Western civilization was a result of this understanding… unlike what is taught today. The Pilgrims that established the Christian city-state in Plymouth were all from the same church. Their governor wrote that they came to set up “a new Israel.”The Puritans were all devout Believers that established all the New England Christian city-state colonies. Moreover, the American Revolution would have never happened had not the Christians and their pastors rose up to revolt against their ruling British government.The 1776 American Revolution started from pastor Jonas Clarke and his minutemen from his First Parish Church in Lexington. Theirs was the first shot of the revolution - “the shot that was heard around the world!” Clarke’s influential role in the events of April 19, 1775, included:* Political and Spiritual Leadership: Clarke was a fervent advocate for independence who used his pulpit to teach that “resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.” He authored numerous town responses to British policies, such as the Stamp Act, and helped prepare the community for armed conflict.* Hosting Patriot Leaders: On the night of April 18, 1775, Clarke hosted John Hancock and Samuel Adams at his parsonage. It was here that Paul Revere arrived around midnight to warn them of the approaching British troops.* Training the Militia: When asked if his people would fight, Clarke famously replied, “I have trained them for this very hour!” Nearly every member of the Lexington militia, including Captain John Parker, head of the minutemen, was a member of Clarke’s congregation.* Clarke’s Extended Influence: Clarke later represented Lexington at the convention to draft the Massachusetts Constitution.Colonial civil law throughout America was specifically referenced chapter and verse of God’s Law, NOT just “based” on God’s Law. They used the Bible in all their courts to judge all civil matters.In early Massachusetts, it was against the law to have an attorney represent a plaintiff or a defendant. Every plaintiff and defendant had to know the Bible to represent themselves before a judge, who was usually an elder from the local church. They could only argue their civil case from God’s Law. In early America, most households had no more than one book, and it was the Bible. It was their guide for their spiritual life as well as their social life and their civil law.In most American colonies their tax law was from God’s Law – tithe and head tax. When James Madison voted to eliminate the tithe tax, which financed the preachers, George Washington wrote Madison chiding him for voting against the tithe. Washington’s letter is in the Library of Congress today.Thomas Jefferson and his Congress authorized federal money to buy Bibles for missionaries to give to the Indians and to build churches in the western territories. During the American Revolutionary War, one of the prominent flags that the minute men carried into battle read: “No King but Jesus!”Even atheist, Thomas Paine, wrote his famous Common Sense using Scripture to fully justify the Revolution. Pastors confirmed the same. Pastors today would do well to read it. The Christians revolted against an onerous government only because they understood and believed the Bible.Yet, today some Christians say that we should not even impose God’s moral Law on non-Christians. But that’s exactly who the Apostle Paul said God’s Law is for, “when used correctly” (1 Tim. 1:8-11). And early American Christians knew this well.After the Bible, Matthew Henry’s Bible Commentary was the most popular book in early American households. In Henry’s Commentary, on Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, Henry wrote that Christians are commanded to “Christianize the nations!” That was their civil mandate.The Apostle Paul even addressed capital punishment for civil crimes (Rom. 1:26-32 TLB):“Women turned against God’s natural plan for them and indulged in sex sin with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sex relationships with women, burned with lust for each other, men doing shameful things with other men and, as a result, getting paid within their own souls with the penalty they so richly deserved… Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness… murder… haters of God… They were fully aware of God’s death penalty for these crimes, yet they went right ahead and did them anyway and encouraged others to do them, too.”More than once in the New Testament Jesus endorsed capital punishment (Mat. 15:3-4; Mark 7:10) quoting God’s Law (Ex. 21:17; Lev. 20:9). And the only reason Jesus did not condemn the accused woman of adultery was that the Law required “two or more witnesses” for a capital offence (John 8:10):“Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, ‘Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?’‘No, Lord,’ she said.And Jesus said, ‘Neither do I. Go and sin no more.’”There are many verses in the New Testament reaffirming that God’s Law should be the Civil Law for nations today. God’s Mosaic Law was NEVER intended only for the nation of Israel:* How biblically foolish to assume God only wanted one nation to obey His Law?* All God’s prophets, without exception, declared God’s Law and Judgments to apply to other nations besides Israel.* Throughout the Old Testament God honored His people when they ruled Gentile nations. Here are a few examples:* Joseph ruled over the Egyptian Empire.* Daniel ruled over more than one Babylonian Empire.* Esther was queen over the Persian Empire.* Mordecai was Prime Minister over the Persian Empire.ALL God’s prophets addressed all nations besides Israel when they did not honor the Lord, His people or His Law. All nations are to follow God and His Law - NOT JUST ISRAEL:* Isaiah was prophesying to over 13 different nations and 11 times to "all nations” (Isa. 13-24).* Jeremiah was prophesying to over 12 nations and 7 times to all “all nations” (Jer. 46-50).* Ezekiel was prophesying to over 7 nations and once in reference to “all nations” (Eze. 25-29).* Amos was prophesying to over 9 nations and once in reference to “all nations” (Amos 1-2).* Obadiah was prophesying to more than one other nation (Obad. 1:1ff).* Jonah was prophesying to more than one other nation (Jonah 1:1ff).* Nahum was prophesying to more than one other nation (Nah. 1:1ff).* Habakkuk was prophesying regarding all nations (Hab. 1:5ff).* Zephaniah was prophesying regarding all nations (Zep. 2:1ff).* David was prophesying regarding all nations over 100 times in Psalms.Do we need to say more? God’s prophets made clear that His Law is FOR ALL NATIONS and ALL GENERATIONS! Moreover, Scripture time and again addresses Jesus’ second coming reign where He will rule with His Law over all nations, absolutely confirming that Jesus wants every nation to obey God’s Law.Finally, think about this part of the prayer that Jesus tells us to pray (Matt. 6:10):“Our Father who art in heaven… Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”With this prayer, it’s obvious that it’s NOT God’s will for Satan’s non-Christians to rule any city-state or nation-state “on earth” today! God ONLY allowed unrighteous rulers to rule over a nation when He punished Israel or other cities or nations for NOT honoring the Lord and His Law.Satan is called the “prince of the power of the air.” But a king is over a prince. And Jesus is the “KING of kings.” And Jesus only allows an oppressive ruler to reign over a nation to reap what it sows in rejecting the Lord and His Law. And there is NOT ONE biblical exception to this reality.Here are just a few examples why every city and nation in the world should keep God’s Law and His righteousness:(Gen. 18:26): “And the Lord replied, ‘If I find fifty righteous people in Sodom, I will spare the entire city for their sake.’”(Ps. 2:10-12): “Now then, you kings, act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth! Serve the Lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling. Submit to God’s royal Son!”(Ps. 9: 17): “The wicked will go down to the grave. This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.”(Ps. 33: 12): “What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord.”(Ps 59:5): “Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, wake up and punish those hostile nations. Show no mercy to wicked traitors.”(Ps. 66:7): “For by His great power He rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance.”(Ps. 79:6): “Pour out your wrath on the nations that refuse to acknowledge You — on kingdoms that do not call upon Your Name.”(Ps. 82:8): “Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to You.”(Ps. 119:46): “I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed.”(Isa. 34:1): “Come here and listen, O nations of the earth. Let the world and everything in it hear My words.”(Isa. 51:4-6): “Listen to Me, My people. Hear Me, Israel, for My Law will be proclaimed, and My justice will become a light to the nations.”(Jer. 10:7): “Who would not fear you, O KING of nations? That title belongs to You alone!”(Jer. 10:23-25): “Pour out your wrath on the nations that refuse to acknowledge You – on the peoples that do not call upon Your Name.”(Jer. 12:17): “Any nation that refuses to obey Me will be uprooted and destroyed. I, the Lord, have spoken!”(Jer. 18:7-10): “If I announce that a certain nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed, but then that nation renounces its evil ways, I will not destroy it as I had planned. And if I announce that I will plant and build up a certain nation or kingdom, but then that nation turns to evil and refuses to obey Me, I will not bless it as I said I would.”Do you see God’s mandate for ALL nations - for God’s people to rule on behalf of the Lord with His righteous Law. Like the “strangers” living in Israel who were law-abiding, even so non-Christians living in a Christian city or nation under God’s Law would also be greatly blessed:(1 John 5:3): “Loving God means keeping His commandments, and His commandments are NOT BURDENSOME!”(Lev. 25:10 NIV): “Proclaim LIBERTY throughout the land to ALL its inhabitants.”(Ps. 19:7-11): “The Law of the Lord is PERFECT… bringing JOY to the heart… more desirable than GOLD… sweeter than HONEY… a GREAT REWARD for those who obey it.”(Ps. 119:44-45 NIV): “I will always obey Your Law, forever and ever. I will walk about in FREEDOM.”(Lev. 18:5): “If you obey My Law and regulations, you will find LIFE through them.”(Deut. 30:10): “Today I have given you the choice between LIFE and death, between BLESSINGS and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose LIFE, that you and your descendants might LIVE!”(Deut. 30:15): “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between PROSPERITY and disaster, between LIFE and death.”(Deut. 32:47): “These instructions are not mere words – they are your LIFE! By obeying them you will enjoy a LONG LIFE.”(Rom. 13:10): “Love does no wrong to others, so LOVE fulfills the requirements of God’s Law.”(Gal. 5:14): “For the whole Law can be summed up in this one command: ‘LOVE.’”(James 1:25): “But if you look carefully into the PERFECT Law that sets you FREE, and if you do what it says… then God will bless you for doing it.”(James 2:8): “Yes indeed, it is good when you obey the ROYAL LAW as found in the Scripture [Old Testament].”(James 2:12): “So whatever you say or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the Law that sets you FREE.”(James 4:11): “Your job is to OBEY THE LAW, not to judge whether it applies to you.”Both Old and New Testaments state that God’s Law gives freedom and is eternal. Also, Christians often wrongly think of the “Old Testament” as the “Old Law.” However, “Old Testament” means “Old Covenant” or “Old Agreement” versus the “New Testament” or “New Agreement. It does not mean “Old Law” versus some “New Law”.God’s Law is not old, oppressive or outdated. It is freeing and eternal as both Old and New Testament declares. It is for today and forever. As Jesus said, “until heaven and earth disappear” (Mat. 5:18).God’s Ten Commandments, Statutes and Judgments are God’s only Law, and that Law Jesus is going to make every nation obey when He returns.Just as God is perfect and eternal so also is God’s Law - perfect and eternal. God’s Law is the full reflection of God’s character, as was manifested in the life of Jesus fulfilling God’s Law.In summary: As God instituted marriage in the Old Testament, and we still have marriage today, even so God instituted His Law in the Old Testament, and we still have His Law today - with its three purposes:* To lead people to Christ.* To lead Christians to be more like Christ.* To lead cities and nation to be more civil for the glory of Christ.(Ps. 19:9): “The Law of the Lord is perfect!”(Ps. 119:46): “I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed.”(Isa. 42:21): “It pleased the Lord for the sake of His righteousness to make His Law great and glorious!”(Rom. 3:31 TLB): “Well then, if we are saved by faith, does this mean that we no longer need obey God’s laws?     1: Christian Manifesto ~ God's 3 Institutions

    Did you know that God has ordained three and only three Institutions for today? Do you know what they are? Do you know the purpose for each? Do you know why each are so critically important for you to know about for your life, your family, and all Christians?Most Christians knew well about all three of these Institutions from the time of Christ until the 20th century. But today most Christians can’t even name all three of God’s Institutions. God’s three Institutions might be compared to a three-legged stool. All three legs are important. All three are necessary for the Lord’s prayer to be fully answered today “Our Father who art in heaven, holy be your Name… Your will be done on EARTH as it is in heaven.”God’s 1st Institution – The Family Gen. 1:27-28:“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and said, ‘Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it.’”When God started the world, He had only one institution which He was to rule through - the family institution, marriage and the family dynasty. The world was to be governed under the different family dynasties.However, with the first family dynasty, Cain killed his brother Abel (Gen. 4:8). Though God banished Cain from His presence and blessings, He nonetheless put a mark on Cain so no one would kill him (Gen. 4:15). So when only there was God’s family dynasty era, there was no capital punishment for murder. And without capital punishment in the world it became completely corrupt (Gen. 6:5-13):5 The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. 6 So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. 7 And the Lord said, ‘I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people…’11 Now God saw that the earth had become corrupt and was filled with violence. 12 God observed all this corruption in the world, for everyone on earth was corrupt. 13 So God said to Noah, “I have decided to destroy all living creatures, for they have filled the earth with violence. Yes, I will wipe them all out along with the earth!8 But Noah found favor with the Lord. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. Noah was the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.So the Lord flooded the earth and started over again with the only righteous man left on the earth, Noah and his family who “walked in close fellowship with God.”After the flood, the Lord reinstituted His Family Institution (Gen. 9:1):“Then God blessed Noah and his sons and told them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth.’”But this time the Lord added one other Institution.God’s 2nd Institution – The State Gen. 9:5-6:5 “And I will require the blood of anyone who takes another person’s life. If a wild animal kills a person, it must die. And anyone who murders a fellow human must die. 6 If anyone takes a human life, that person’s life will also be taken by human hands. For God made human beings in His own image.”Capital punishment for murder was the first civil law instituting God’s civil government, a nation-state. Later God gave His whole nation-state Law through Moses. There were 2 primary parts of God’s Law: the Ceremonial Law and the Moral Law. The Ceremonial laws are all the laws that especially relate to Jesus and His coming. God’s Ceremonial laws are:* Pictural laws - picturing Jesus’ character, holiness, beauty, and perfection, etc.* Sacrificial laws - picturing Jesus’ death and sacrifice on the cross for our sins, etc.After Jesus came to the earth, He fulfilled all His Ceremonial laws. This is what the Apostle Paul said regarding all the Ceremonial laws (Col. 2:16-17 TLB):16 “So don’t let anyone criticize you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating Jewish holidays and feasts or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. 17 For these were only temporary rules [laws] that ended when Christ came. They were only shadows of the real thing—of Christ Himself.”All God’s Moral Law constitute all the rest of God’s Law for individuals and nation-states to apply today. All God’s Moral laws are:* The Ten Commandments – the outline or preamble of God’s Law.* The Statutes – the explanations and applications of God’s Law.* The Judgments – the consequences of violating God’s Law.God instituted marriage and thus defined it as with one man and one woman. Otherwise, it is illegitimate marriage. Even so, God instituted the nation-state and defined it based on His Moral Civil Law. Otherwise, it too is an illegitimate nation-state in defiance of God. Man does NOT define marriage. Even so man does NOT define a nation-state. Both Institutions were ordained, instituted, and defined by God alone. They both belong to God alone. And they are both for God’s glory and purpose alone (Acts 17:26-27):26 From one man God created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and He determined their boundaries. 27 His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward Him and find Him.Satan’s men have worked at redefining God’s legitimate marriage institution. No less so, Satan’s men have worked at redefining God’s legitimate state institution as being legitimate with non-Christians ruling with man’s laws (Deut. 4:8 NASB):8 But what great nation is there that has Statutes and Judgments as righteous as God’s whole Law which I am setting before you today?Most Christians today have never been taught that a state and civil authorities are treasonous and illegitimate if they do not honor God and His Law. This is one of the reasons God ordained His 3rd and final Institution - the Church - to cause Families and States to honor the Lord and His Word.God’s 3rd Institution – The Church Mat. 16:18:“I will build My church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”The Church was the 3rd and last Institution that God has established for us here on earth. With each of God’s Institutions He also established a new covenant. But with each new covenant God never abandoned any of His two previous Institutions. The Apostle Paul declared (Rom. 3:31):Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law.Today God still wants:* ALL people in the world to honor His Family Institution. ALL nations that reject God’s family design reap corruption.* ALL nations in the world to honor His Nation-State Institution. ALL nations that reject God’s Civil Law reap corruption.There is no nation in the world that has ever been an exception to the above!God did not ordain His Church to displace His design for one man and one woman marriages for the Family Institution. Neither did God ordain HIs Church to displace His Law for His State Institution. Rather, the Church is to be “the pillar and support of the truth” - to promote and work for having godly families and godly nation-states!It’s great if a church sees people saved and baptized… but then what?* Should the church neglect teaching about the family or training men to be godly leaders in their households?* Should the church neglect teaching about the nation-state and training men to be godly leaders and vote in godly leaders for our cities and nation?Of God’s three Institutions, the nation-state is the largest. And it has profound direct effect on the success of the Church and the Family. All you need to do is look at North Korea compared to South Korea!Have you ever thought how God divided up the Bible, in the context of His three Institutions:* Genesis is about Family – about 5% of the Bible.* Exodus to Acts is about Nation-State (Israel and other nations) – about 80% of the Bible.* Acts to Revelation is about Church – about 15% of the Bible.Why would God write 80% of the Bible for us to know how He deals with nation-states based on His Law, if He did not intend for us to know how He is going to deal with us today regarding our nation-state and His Law? Is Christ not the same yesterday, today and forever? God’s Law was not written only for Israel. Every Old Testament prophet showed God judging Gentile nation-states that rejected or even ignored God’s Law. And Jonah, Nahum, and Obadiah were written exclusively toward Gentile nations.In the New Testament Jesus lived His perfect life fulfilling God’s moral Law. If we want to be like Jesus, we will follow God’s moral Law. Jesus said (Mat. 5:17-19):“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets... I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”Any Christians who say being in Christ we no longer need to follow God’s Law today, are unwittingly saying, we no longer need to be holy today. The Apostle Paul said of God’s Law (Rom. 7:12):“The Law is holy, and the commandments are holy, righteous and good.”Jesus is not only “head over the church” (Eph. 5:23), but today Jesus is also to be “head over all rule and authority” (Col. 2:10). Therefore, Jesus is to be head over all civil authority in every city and nation-state today. After Jesus resurrected, and before ascending to heaven, Jesus declared (Mat. 28:18):“ALL authority has been given unto Me in heaven and on earth!”If a church does not honor Jesus Christ as Head of Church, does that mean Christ is no longer Head of the church? If a city or nation-state does not honor Jesus Christ as Head of State, does that mean that Christ should no longer be considered Head of State? Of course not! The Lord Jesus is to be honored as Head of all God’s Institutions today.None of God’s three institutions have ceased. God’s Nation-State Institution has not ceased any more than God’s Family Institution has ceased. Since God has ordained all three Institutions, they belong to Him and under Him for only His glory. God did not create any of His Institutions to not be holy.None of God’s Institutions were created for Satan or for Satan’s use or glory. The only thing God created for Satan is hell (Mat. 25:41). However, throughout history non-Christians too often hijack God’s Institutions. Nonetheless, all three of God’s Institutions have been created through Him and for Him (Col. 1:16):“For through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see… such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything was created through Him and for Him.”Why do most Christians today only think of Christ being “head of the church?” There are even more Scriptures that declare Christ as Head of State today, as Paul says again (Col. 2:10):“Christ, who is the Head over every ruler and authority.”Since the 20th century, Satan has slowly been hijacking the western nation-states, and was especially evident since the last part of the 20th century. Christians living today have never seen or experienced what it was like to live in even somewhat of a Christian nation. Worse yet, most Christians today don’t even assume this would be biblical, much less a biblically mandate. When reading the Gospels, most don’t realize when Jesus was contending with the Pharisees that they were the local civil leaders in Judea at that time. They “sat in the seat of Moses” (Matt. 23:2), the top civil leader. And when Jesus was contending with the Pharisees about the Mosaic Law, it was the local civil law at that time. And because the Pharisees were following their traditions, their man-made laws more than God’s Law, Jesus said to them (John 8:44):“You belong to your father the devil.”This is what Jesus would call the civil leaders today who put their laws ahead of God’s Law. There are only two kingdoms in this world today (Col. 1:12-13):“The kingdom of light… and the kingdom of darkness.”There is only one national Supreme Ruler - King Jesus. Civil leaders are either rebels, treasonous, and anti-Christ or they are following King Jesus and His Law. Jesus said (Matt. 12:30): “He who is not with Me is against Me.”In America God’s people have slowly, naively and unwittingly, abdicated their God-given mandate to unite in making sure only God-fearing men be the rulers and judges. Yet most Christians today have never even been taught about God’s 3 Biblical Institutions. This is necessary to understand in order for a critical mass of Christians to raise up and take back any nation for Christ. The prophet Hosea made this clear (Hosea 4:6 NIV):“Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the Law of your God, I also will ignore your children!”What will God do to Christians who “have rejected knowledge” – God will “reject” using them as His “priests”, His servants. And what is the knowledge they have rejected? “Because you have ignored the Law of your God!” And what will God then do? “I also will ignore your children!”If a critical mass of God’s people learn about this, and thus take action, they would be able to take back one city-state at a time. YES, God has given Christians the power to do that (1 John 4:4):“You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world!”God’s man Danial ruled over more than one Gentile Empire. Daniel knew how the cunning “flattery” of wicked rulers accomplishes their ends; but Danial also knew what the people who know their God would do (Dan. 11:32 NLB):“With flattery he will corrupt those who reject the Lord, but the people who know their God will take action and greatly resist him.”If God’s people don’t hear God’s alarm and take action, Ezekiel warns what will happen (Ezek. 33:4):“Then if those who hear the alarm refuse to take action, it is their own fault if they die.”Christians and America as such may also die if Christians don’t now hear the alarm and take action. I’m only one of God’s small servants, but I am sounding the alarm today! But I’m not just sounding the alarm. I’m also going to point to specific Scriptures - biblical strategies in HOW we can “take action“ to take back God’s Nation-State Institution, one city at a time for His glory.Biblically, the ONLY time God ever let the wicked come in and take over Israel or any other nation was to punish the nation for rejecting the Lord and His Law. Just as individuals will reap what they sow, even so God has nations reap what they sow (Hosea 8:7; Gal. 6:8):“They have sown the wind, and they will reap the whirlwind.”“For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption.”Biblically, there was no exception to this with Israel and every Gentile nation as well:* Remember the Gentile city-states of Sodom and Gomorrah? God promised Abraham He would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if there were just 10 righteous people in the towns. But only Lot and his family honored the Lord in those towns, so the Lord destroyed both towns.* Remember the capital city of the Gentile Assyrian Empire, Nineveh? God was going to destroy wicked Nineveh until Jonah preached to the city and the king and nobles repented and had the whole city repent to the Lord. Then God spared the city!God not only judged Israel based on honoring Him, but He also judges every Gentile city and nation-state based on honoring Him. God’s Law is for every nation. Every Old Testament prophet addressed Gentile nations that were not honoring God and His Law.
