I have been sharing alot more on social media about my experience with grief. It's not the most popular subject but it is one that needs to be talked about more because we all go through it at some point and some of us really have a hard time helping others through it especially our own kids. Grief is huge in kids and I am a firm believer that God can speak to their hearts in ways we can't but it is our job to point them to the creator. I was reminded that many hearts are hurting as school begins. The grieving parents who face the fact that their child is not here. They feel this overwhelming displacement or feel so out of sorts that they do not know what to do with these intense feelings. In this episode I share what I did when I had to find a way to "do something" to help work through my grief. I needed to find a way to honor my daughter but also work through my pain. The Apostle Paul wrote this verse from prison in which he was learning to be content no matter the circumstances that surround him. He wanted to convey this to one of the churches who had been so gracious to him. This verse applies to us as Homemakers. Our homes and what goes on beyond the walls of our homes can be chaotic, overwhelming and the world wants to push in and tell us that we deserve more or should go out and gain more. When it clicked for me that God loves me so much just because of who He is not because of what I had done that's when my relationship with Christ changed.

This episode came to life from a TikTok video I watched all about Matthew 7: 21-23. Away from me you evil doer I never knew you.

Are you living by worldly standards or are you rocking a unique path set by God. We all have different paths, different journeys and that's what's so amazing about God, no two are the same BUT the world will tell you to fall in line, be this way..ya know like this person. God doesn't tell us to be like anyone else. 

What kid doesn't struggle with fear of the dark or what adult doesn't struggle with some form of fear? Right? What if we instilled that Do Not fear concept into our kids early on and actually practiced them in our own life? what could we accomplish?

Second chances are something we get, it's something God graciously gives, it doesn't mean we go out and screw up on purpose knowing his forgiveness but it's necessary to get those second chances to succeed. 

What are you allowing to influence your life? Are those things making you better? Are they helping you in your walk with Christ? We all deserve to be our best selves.

We all have the power of practicing self control by implementing self discipline. God says we can control our thoughts, our actions and He is there with us every step of the way.

Today my husband agreed to join me for an episode...well he didn't have much choice...quarantine crazies...but we talk about the top 10 Marriage Misconceptions according to google. We enjoyed recapping our past 11 years and I enjoyed getting him out of his comfort zone.

NEw Year....what is your word or your intentions for the year. I am working on being more intentional with my time, being present in the moment and not getting caught up in what the world wants from me.

Man 2020 has been a year but I can't say it's been the hardest...I hope it has allowed you a simpler life and you can see Gods hand all up in it.

Never say "My child won't act like that" "I would do this if my kid acted like that"...i have eaten those words over the past few years. I share what it has been like raising strong willed kids, kids that throw those hellacious temper tantrums and the feelings that go along with it.

This episode is pretty raw...experiencing loss again brings up all the emotions and hurts from our past hurts, but it's something we will continue to experience as we live. It's something we must embrace so we can show compassion to others.

Holidays are crazy sometimes, throwing in the hurt and pain that is usually held in before the holiday season can make it a "go through the motions" time and we were meant for more than that!

I talk about how my perspective of the holidays has changed over the years since my overwhelming loss...how I approach it differently and really strive to dive into the true nativity story.
