Today I am interviewing the amazing Dr. Simone Alicia AKA The Self Esteem Doctor. Dr. Simone Alicia is an international self-esteem expert, motivational speaker, and television personality who creates measurable improvements in mindset, thoughts, beliefs, and behavioral outcomes. Her company, The Self-Esteem Doctor is a global self-development empire focused on nourishing mental, spiritual, and physical well-being in people of all ages. Dr. Simone combines influences of Neuro Linguistic Programming and other holistic coaching tools for self-esteem.  PURPOSE - Teaching people how to improve their daily thoughts and beliefs to achieve better mental, spiritual, and physical well-being in their lives - while demonstrating increased compassion for others. Years ago I read a book that changed my LIFE. @drcarolineleaf wrote a book called SWITCH ON YOUR BRAIN where she teaches you literally how to rewire your thought patterns to serve you! To think positively instead of sabotaging your wellbeing.Have you ever thought "I'm a bad mom for not spending enough time with my kids today." Through reading this book, I learned how to rewire my brain so that I don't even think that thought anymore.Every time I would think that thought I would tell myself - "I'm a great mom. I served my family today through taking care of our house, and making meals. I did the best I could even though I had so much to get done today."Here's another one - "I'm so anxious to be home alone with my kids, what if something happens to me?"Try this instead: "God gave me my kids because he trusts me with them. God doesn't put you anywhere you're not meant to be. It's wild how life comes full circle sometimes and you are presented with opportunities that really are answers to prayers you had from years before. In this episode I talk about how life has come full circle for me at this moment. I talk about being a working mom and the days I spent driving to the office hysterically crying because of the overwhelm I felt. I feel blessed to have the answers to my prayers of working from home and being able to chase my dream of helping women from all over the world. I'm able to connect and be in the outlets that I've always wanted to be. Even if it didn't happen 10 years ago when I wanted it to happen, it has happened and I'm thankful! God has planted me in every situation and place that has been meant for me. Even if you can't see where you're going He has a plan. Trust in His plan. Keep praying for your dreams. Don't give up. April Hartmann is a published author and illustrator of children’s books. Her artwork is featured in kids’ magazines, posters, on toys and packaging, plus illustrated many books for children. "The Dream Keepers" is her first book as a published author. It also teaches growth mindset, and is written for kids age 5-10. Why does this matter to April? Because she has kids, too. There are a few definitions of legacy. But the legacy that I'm talking about in this episode is leaving something behind for your friends or family that is more personal than just money or things. We have so much on our plates as young parents. In my 20's I didn't think much about this topic, but now that I'm in my early 30's I have been thinking about it SO much. It feels like time is flying by and the constant question is burning in my brain "what am I leaving behind?". It's a loaded question. But it's not one that needs to be answered over night. It is one that we can take time and patience to answer and should! We spend so much time planning out the new school year by getting school supplies and new school clothes that we can forget how much traffic our home will get in the new season. Between kids going in and out of the pantry, closets, and all sorts of places in our home, it's always good to do a refresh and reset each season. Amanda Hunter, Founder and CEO, of Everlasting Wellness LLC, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) Therapist. Amanda was the first PMH-C in Berks County. She also held the PSI Support Coordinator for Berks and Schuylkill Counties linking women and their families to resources in the community for 3 years. Amanda has intensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Grief and Loss, Infertility, Depression, and Anxiety. Amanda has worked with most populations and all ages. Amanda has therapeutic experience in schools, hospitals, doctor offices, outpatient settings, foster care, hospitalization programs (adult and children), in-home services and home health care agencies.
