LOVE: by Rev. Paul Dickerson
Love: Zephaniah 3:14-20; 1 John 4:7-12 Love not as an ideal, but as the presence of a person (1 John 4:9). Not (socially) distant, but near. Love linked to sacrifice. What did it cost Jesus to love you? Zephaniah reading brings together many of the themes so far - peace, joy, love.

Joy - by Rev. Jeff Cloeter
Joy: Isaiah 12:1-6; Luke 1:26-38 The peace that the Lord brings about is based on Christ. Joy is based on what the Lord has done. This means it isn’t based on circumstances but is as firm and certain as he is. “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” Luke 1:28. Rejoice, for God is both...
