Episode 589: Awake, Alert, and Awestruck - Part 3 - Audio

In this final week of our series—Awake, Alert, and Awestruck—the Ladies of LoveTalk Network shift from vigilance against the enemy’s subtle deceptions to lifting our eyes in wonder at the greatness of God. We first discussed the importance of waking up from spiritual slumber to begin a new life in God. Last week, we explored what it means to stay alert, recognizing lies that twist truth and divide. We also learned from Eve’s doubt, Jesus’ steadfast “It is written,” and David’s humble repentance. Now, we turn to being Awestruck, overwhelmed by God’s beauty, power, and grace—where His glory eclipses every scheme of the enemy and worship rises in its place. As Psalm 33:8 declares, “Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him!”

  18. 569

Episode 588: Awake, Alert, and Awestruck -- Part 2 - Audio

Today's message on LoveTalk Network reminds us that after waking up to our need for Jesus, we must stay "Alert" to the enemy’s schemes. Satan is actively at work using deception to make evil look good and truth seem confusing. Nevertheless, Jesus shows us how to resist through submission to God and reliance on Scripture. Although strong believers like Peter and David stumbled when alertness faded, their stories teach us that spiritual warfare is real, personal responsibility matters, and restoration is always possible through repentance. Staying alert requires daily surrender, reliance on God’s Word, and obedience. Join Kerri, Cathy, and Marlene for this timely message, the second in a three-part series entitled Awake, Alert, and Awestruck.

  19. 568

Episode 587: Awake, Alert, and Awestruck - Part 1 - Audio

This episode of LoveTalk Network is the first in a three-part series entitled "Awake, Alert, and Awestruck. Today, Kerri, Cathy, and Marlene discuss the need for Christians to AWAKE. Awake is a call to recognize how busyness, distraction, and the pursuit of temporary satisfaction can lull us into spiritual sleep, leaving us restless and empty without Jesus. Scripture urges us to wake up now, not later, because true life begins when we acknowledge our need for Him. God awakens His people in different ways—through crisis like the Prodigal Son, through dramatic intervention like Saul on the road to Damascus, or through gentle, personal conversation like Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman. Whether sudden or gradual, awakening always involves recognizing our brokenness, surrendering to Christ, and receiving the forgiveness, purpose, and new life that only He can provide.

  20. 567

Episode 586: Standing With Courage - Audio

The March 3 Texas Primary Election will determine party candidates for the November General Election, with early voting from February 17–27. As Christians, we must act as ambassadors for Christ by engaging in civic life and supporting candidates who defend life, oppose harmful ideologies in schools, and honor the U.S. Constitution -- while also recognizing that no candidate will be perfect. The program features Jeremy Story, a returning guest known for speaking against misconduct and constitutional violations within a local school board. Jeremy is now a candidate for Texas’s 10th Congressional District. This program implores believers to unite their voices, vote according to Biblical principles, and choose leaders of wisdom and integrity, as reflected in Deuteronomy 1:13 and Proverbs 29:2.

The impact upon Christians is a heighten awareness of the reality of spiritual warfare and the necessity for Christians not only to pray but also to live out righteous, God-directed lives. Christians must understand that God does not promise a perfect life. Instead, He promises a perfected faith. True victory, peace, and strength come through knowing, studying, and living God’s Word, which equips us to stand against evil, walk in God’s direction, and freely give to others what we have received through Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

From humble shepherds to foreign Wise Men, God ensured that people of every status, background, and nation were invited to seek and worship the newborn King. The Magi’s journey, gifts, and obedience—along with God’s provision for Joseph, Mary, and Jesus through those gifts—demonstrate that while God’s instructions may be difficult or frightening, He always provides a way.

The Christmas story highlights how God works through humble, ordinary people, and the shepherds embody this truth as unsung heroes of the nativity: though marginalized and overlooked, they were the first to receive the angelic announcement of Jesus’ birth, showing that God’s revelation is accessible to the lowly rather than reserved for the powerful or learned. Their response models the journey of faith—moving from fear to action as they hurried to Bethlehem. Episode 577: Faith of Christmas -- Joseph's Obedience - Audio

Cathy Endebrock, Kerri Brinkoeter, and Marlene McMichael continue with episode 2 of a four-part series highlighting the birth of Jesus through the eyes of those who were there. The Christmas story is a powerful record of ordinary people responding to God in extraordinary ways—Mary surrendered, Joseph obeyed, the shepherds wondered, and the Magi sought. However, with faith, the season becomes a true celebration of God’s love and grace, as seen in Mary’s surrender, Joseph’s obedience, the shepherds’ wonder, and the wise men’s search for the infant king. Learn how we are called to know God’s Word, obey it His way in both small and big things, act without delay, persevere in obedience, and trust God’s faithfulness. Mary’s story in Luke 1:26–38 highlights the essence of surrendering to God regardless of the cost or uncertainty. Mary trusted God’s promise and declared, “I am the Lord’s servant. Also a long-time pastor, Jackie recounts how a 2018 flood in Marble Falls led to a powerful collaboration of local churches to meet urgent and long-term recovery needs. The necessity of church networks in disaster response, the challenge of rebuilding efforts—especially in rural areas—and the vital role of programs like food centers, thrift shops, and homelessness outreach. With scriptural insight from Matthew 24 and Psalm 46, the episode emphasizes the church’s role in bringing hope, healing, and preparedness in turbulent times, encouraging listeners to get trained, connected, and engaged through ministries like UIC. Daniel Geraci, Founder and CEO of United in Crisis (UIC), was also an invited guest for this program but was detained because of his ongoing efforts in the Texas Hill Country dealing with the July 4th flood.
