Fixed the audio so it is better than the last one, just like you trying the figure this out, I am trying to figure out audio and recordings so thanks for hanging in there with me on this adventure. Been out grinding for a buck like the rest of you. Intro music is new and something I am messing with from scratch, the first part is audio from my helmet cam on a job a few years ago, highlighting some of the daily conversations we should all be having on the site everyday. Sat down with a Super to hear their take on a recent training class, we talk about schedules, communications and a funny story about WD-40. [email protected] also kicked off LinkedIn just for the hell of it, as we all know how I feel about that space just so we can see how long before I get booted from there worst case, best case is we help some people get a little better in the craft of managing contracted chaos.

This weeks episode is not for the snowflakes, from the bunker, I talk more about the big picture and strategy in making look ahead schedules and running the job site. We dabble in the dark art; such as the of use of spies and manipulations all, to do the right thing. We bounce around the book the Art of War and I share with you a sliver of the value I get from it. Amazing that book from over 3000 years ago, can be applied to todays day to day. The book version I discussed were from Anthony Cummins, which you can find on Amazon.   Nothing we do is new, it has all been done before. This week as we all are hiding out in our bunkers waiting for the world to end, with all the TP  that has ever been produced on the planet. I sit here hunkered down behind the vault door pondering life, work, schedules and where the hell is Tom Hanks at. Schedules as I am discovering come easier to me than other, only because I have been at this madness for 20 years. Every Superintendent should be equipped with the basic set of protective gear as well as the miscellaneous tool to perform checks and reporting. Also every Superintendent should have a standard operating procedure on how to tackle the day in day out responsibilities of a project. Good, Fast or Cheap, everyone one wants it but is it really possible? Some of my thoughts on who plays a role in that idea on a project and some ways to rope the unicorn.  We take an example from the start of a ground up project and the contractors involved at the beginning to explain out the good, fast, cheap logic. Who, Me? Pulling back the Iron curtain on the secrets to being a General Contracting Superintendent.
