How I Run a Business WITH ADHD (Not Against It)
For years I thought my brain was broken. Depression, anxiety, an ADHD diagnosis, then bipolar. A list of "disorders", and I believed all of it. Then I stopped trying to fix myself and built a business that actually fits my brain. This is the playbook. In this video: - Why ADHD is an unfair advantage for a business owner, not a weakness - The 4 pitfalls that were quietly wrecking things (overwhelm, procrastination, impulsivity, burnout) - The 4 superpowers hiding underneath them (hyperfocus, energy, drive, risk-taking) - The 4 tactics I use to turn one into the other: values, dopamine, energy and delegation There's no cure for ADHD. But there's a way to make it the best thing about how you work. Questions asked in the video: - Which ADHD Struggle Impacts You The Most? - What 3 Things Do You Put Off All The Time? - If You Had A Team, What Would You Stop Doing Immediately? - What's One Thing You Could Delegate This Week? Claude vs ChatGPT: The AI Shift That Saved Me 10 Hours a Week in My Business
I recently ditched ChatGPT. Not because it's useless. It isn't. If you're using nothing, ChatGPT is better than nothing. But for me, it started to feel like using stabilisers on a bike. Beginner level. Useful, yes, but not the full game. AI is the biggest shift in business in years, but most people are still using it like a smarter Google. They prompt it, get advice back, then still have to do all the work themselves. That was me for months. I built custom GPTs, learned prompts, reprompted, tweaked, and still felt like every conversation started from scratch. Then I moved to Claude and the difference hit me fast. Here's the biggest shift: ChatGPT told me what to do. Claude does it for me. In this episode, I break down why I moved from ChatGPT to Claude, how I'm using Claude Cowork, and how it's saving me at least 10 hours a week, maybe closer to 20. What I cover: Why AI is about way more than ChatGPT Why prompts are not the whole game Why generic AI content is everywhere and why it sounds like everyone else The difference between AI giving advice and AI acting like an assistant How I've trained Claude on my voice, emails, posts, YouTube channel, contracts, testimonials and business How I use it to help with emails, slides, workbooks, content ideas, planning and client engagement Why AI should remove boring manual tasks, not replace your creativity How Claude scans what's working across my social media and YouTube Why AI can become the new doom scrolling if you don't use it properly What I'd do if I was starting with AI today If you're drowning in a to-do list that never ends, this episode will show you how to stop using AI like a toy and start using it like a team member. Your move: teach AI one thing about your business today. Give it your website, your emails, your social media, your contracts, your team, what you sell, what works, what you hate doing, then give it one real job. Push or Cruise: The Summer Business Plan That Keeps You Moving
Is it possible to run a business and have an amazing summer without everything going backwards? Your business. Your lead generation. Your sales. Your team. Your delivery. Your body. Your fitness. Your health. Your relationships. Yes. But only if you stop drifting. Summer is the season where most business owners quietly hand over their progress without even realising they're doing it. Kids are off. Clients say "wait until September". Your team's away. Weekends fill up. Football's back. Everyone slows down. And before you know it, September lands and you're behind, stressed, fatter, low on leads, panicking, and trying to cram six months of progress into the last three months of the year. In this episode, I'm breaking down the 4 moves I use to have a proper summer without letting everything fall apart. The 4 moves: Choose your gear You can push or you can cruise. But park and reverse are off the menu. Slower is fine. Backwards isn't. Protect the floor Identify the 2 or 3 activities that keep things compounding, even when you're only operating at 20% capacity because 80% of you is on holiday. Kill the half-on zone Be all in or all off. When you're working, work. When you're off, be where your feet are. Stop sitting in the grey zone, checking emails at dinner and feeling guilty everywhere. Use leverage, not hours Team, AI, automation, scheduling. This is how you enjoy summer and still keep the business moving without grinding all day. The goal is simple: Come back after summer ahead, not behind. Make memories and make progress. Have the summer without paying for it in stress, panic and lost momentum later. Delete, Delegate, Automate: How to Buy Back Your Time
I run a 7-figure business in an industry where the average income is around £15,000, working three and a half days a week with a very small team. And before you say it… No, your business is not "different". I've installed this same model with business owners across heating, gyms, insurance, construction, coaching, consulting, trades, property, finance, hospitality, agencies, health and safety, software, vehicle rental and loads more. In this episode, I'm breaking down the three moves I use to get my time back, get past the pain line, and grow without just working more hours. The 3 moves: 👉🏼Delete Ruthlessly remove low-impact tasks, offers, platforms, meetings, commitments and friction that make progress harder than it needs to be. 👉🏼Delegate Offload anything below your pay grade, anything you hate, or anything someone else could do so you can spend more time on higher-value work. 👉🏼Automate Use tools, tech and AI to handle boring, repetitive, recurring manual tasks like bookings, reminders, invoices, emails, FAQs and scheduling. I also talk about the pain line: the point where money is coming in, but you've got no time to enjoy it. The business runs, but only when you run. You've got clients, team, family, everyone needing something from you, and the thing you built starts to feel like a trap. If you're busy but can't clearly explain where your time is going, this episode will hit hard. Because the problem usually isn't time. It's what's sitting on your plate that shouldn't be there. Grab the Time Audit Use this to see where your time is actually going and what you need to delete, delegate or automate first. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aZUoC_m7MDZZIzbqJiC1ykSPXirlu0eL/view?usp=sharing Connect with Me: Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/paulmortofficial Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/MrPaulMort/ LinkedIn - www.linkedin.com/in/paul-mort TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@paulmort YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@paulmortofficial Free Training: 3 Pillars to More Profit, More Time and Getting Your Passion Back https://workshop.unstoppablesummit.co.uk/free-training

How to Grow Your Business Without Sacrificing Your Life
Most men who follow my stuff want more. More money. More time. More freedom. More choices. More options. More respect. But here's the problem… Most men started their business to build a better life, but somewhere along the way, that business stopped being a vehicle for freedom and started becoming a prison. You didn't start your business to work 60, 70, 80 hours a week. You didn't start it to miss your kids' bedtime. You didn't start it to give up your hobbies. You didn't start it to be checking your phone on holiday. So the real question isn't "how's the business doing?" It's this: Is your business still doing what you started it for? In this episode, I break down the framework I use inside my programs and in my own life: the 5 Fs. The 5 Fs: Focus Fitness Family Finance Fun Because having it all isn't just about getting more. It's about building a business that takes you somewhere instead of one that locks you in. I also talk about why your business is a reflection of your capacity to handle more. More pressure, more rejection, more criticism, more clients, more opportunities, more setbacks, more uncertainty and more risk. If your business has been stuck at the same level for 18 months, maybe it's not a marketing problem. Maybe it's not a sales problem. Maybe it's a capacity problem. What I cover: Why your business may have quietly stolen the life it was meant to build Why most men become one-dimensional in business How neglecting health, family, mindset and fun eventually catches up Why focus, fitness, family and fun are not competing with your business How those areas actually support your business growth The "five-spoked wheel" concept for real momentum Why your strongest area can still hit a ceiling if the others are ignored The Savage Question: "How do I ____ without ____?" Why you keep setting goals and stopping How fear of losing something keeps you stuck Why putting skin in the game creates accountability and follow-through If you want to grow your business without losing your health, your marriage, your energy, your family life or your head… This one's for you. How to Use Hate Comments to Grow Your Business
If you're scared of putting your opinion online because someone might criticise you, this episode is for you. Last week, I had a few people lose their heads on Facebook. One bloke unfollowed me because he'd "had enough" of my anti-alcohol posts. Another asked for help, got a reply, then went from zero to 100 and called me a leech. A few years ago, comments like that would have ruined my day. I'd reply angry, delete it, write another reply, think about it all day, and sometimes even post safer content the next day. Now? I use it. Because criticism is not the problem. Being invisible is the problem. In this episode, I break down how to turn trolls, criticism, and haters into reach, engagement, content, conversations, and clients. What I cover: Why hate is the cost of entry if you want visibility online Why criticism often means you're saying something worth disagreeing with Why it's never really about you The line I learned years ago: dogs don't bark at parked cars Why I don't take advice from anyone I wouldn't swap places with How my best content often comes from critics The economics of hate: criticism equals engagement, engagement equals reach, reach equals more eyes, and more eyes can equal more clients The tactics I use: mock the leaving, make it weird, use the algorithm against them, and let the audience do the work Why I don't reply when I'm angry, and why I use a 24-hour rule Why I don't block, delete, or mute criticism when it can boost the post instead If your content gets criticism, congratulations. You're in the arena. You're visible. And visible makes money. Your move: find your worst comment from this week, post it, thank them, and watch what happens to your reach. Dopamine Burnout: Why You Feel Flat, Cynical, and Over It
This episode is about burnout, but not the "I'm physically exhausted" kind. I'm talking about what I see as an epidemic in entrepreneurs: mental burnout, dopamine burnout. It looks like this: You're tired but wired. You're too tired to do real work, but too wired to relax, so you scroll. You're on your phone, resenting messages, resenting being needed, sometimes even resenting the people around you for "distracting" you from it. That's not laziness. That's burnout creeping in. What I cover in this episode - The difference between physical burnout and mental burnout - Why dopamine isn't "the pleasure chemical" but the drive, focus, motivation chemical - Why dopamine fires on anticipation and why your phone is so addictive (check, scroll, check, scroll) - How "cheap hits" flatten your baseline dopamine so real work starts to feel boring, heavy, and pointless - Why entrepreneurs are extra exposed to this, because we're wired for novelty and the chase - The "shit zone" where you're not working and you're not resting, so you get the benefit of neither - What real recovery looks like for me, and the difference between deliberate recovery vs default scrolling - How misaligned values can drain you when you're forcing yourself to do things you hate The 3-step fix I share 1. Win the bookends: phone out of the room in the morning and off in the last hour at night 2. Kill the shit zone: choose work or choose recovery, don't sit in the middle 3. Guard your fuel: protect recovery like it's a client meeting And the question I want you to sit with: Could you keep running at this pace for the next three years? How Ditching My Phone Transformed My Business
I've just had a week off in the Lake District, and for the first time ever, two things happened while I was away: The business ran without me A program sold out without me I've been the "no phone on holiday" guy for years, but this is the episode where I explain why it matters, what it forces you to fix in your business, and how to do it (with or without a team). Here's the uncomfortable truth: if you need to check your phone on holiday, you don't have freedom… you have a need for control. And you can't have freedom and control at the same time. In this episode, I cover: 👉🏼Why being "available all the time" is chaos, and you can't scale chaos 👉🏼Why you can't scale YOU, you can only scale systems 👉🏼The real reasons people won't switch off (guilt, fear, and liking being needed) 👉🏼The mindset shift that changed it all: "The more valuable you are to your business, the less valuable your business is" 👉🏼What I actually do now: delete the apps, lock myself out, keep the phone for maps/photos/whoop, and remove the safety net 👉🏼My priority stack before a holiday: paying clients first, marketing must still happen, everything else can wait 👉🏼How it runs without you: the team handles decisions, automation handles repetition (out of office, scheduled posts/emails, autoresponders, ManyChat) 👉🏼The simple pre-holiday plan: meeting, day-by-day plan, "what could go wrong" plan, task delegation (Asana), then switch off If you want your business to grow without eating your life, this is one of the cleanest tests you can run. The Revenue Expansion Formula: 3 Lanes Most Business Owners Miss
Most business owners only run one of the 3 lanes that grow a business. That's why they're stuck. In this video, I break down The Revenue Expansion Formula: the 3-lane system I'm using to add £589,000 to my business this year without a single new lead. Same business. Same audience. Same offer. Just a different way of running it. THE 3 LANES: A · ACQUIRE - getting in front of new people (the lane everyone obsesses over) E · EXTRACT - getting existing customers to spend more (where the fast money lives) K · KEEP - getting customers to stay longer (where the compound money lives) Most business owners pour everything into Acquire. The fastest money almost always lives in the other two. If you've been spending on ads, building funnels, chasing leads, and the needle still isn't moving, this is the video. ⏱ CHAPTERS: 00:00 The lie every business owner believes 01:30 The Revenue Expansion Formula 03:00 A — Acquire (the lane you already know) 04:30 E — Extract (where the fast money lives) 07:00 The maths that'll change your year 08:30 K — Keep (the lane nobody talks about) 10:00 Where's your leak? 11:00 What I'm actually doing (+£589k this year) 12:30 Three moves you can make this week 14:00 Close 🔑 KEY LINES FROM THE VIDEO: "The money you want is already inside your business." "Most businesses sell one thing once." "Memory isn't a system." "Your first sale should be the start of the relationship." — WANT THE FULL SYSTEM? The audit, the plays, the maths workshop, and the brotherhood of men actually installing this - that all lives inside Unstoppable Mansformation. 25 Years in Business: Ask Me Anything (Marketing, Hiring, Mistakes, Money)
This episode is an old-school Ask Me Anything. I used to do live Q&As all the time, and I haven't done one for years. So I asked: "If you could ask me anything from my 25 years in business, what would you ask?" The questions that came in were class. We cover marketing, selling, hiring, mistakes, freedom, starting from scratch, staying solo vs expanding, and what I'd do differently if I were starting again today. What I answer in this episode: 👉🏼What should a complete beginner focus on? 👉🏼Do I ever think it would be mint to go back to the old bootcamp days for a laugh? 👉🏼What's the best thing about owning your own business and being your own boss? What's the worst and hardest? 👉🏼What's the biggest mistake you learned from and turned into a positive? 👉🏼What's been the best decision you've made, and how did you know it was the right one? 👉🏼How do you keep going when everything turns to shit in business? 👉🏼What if you have an idea for a business but you don't have the capital to start? 👉🏼What basic qualifications do you look for as an employer? 👉🏼What's the one thing you wish you had known then that you know now? 👉🏼Do you expand or stay solo? 👉🏼Out of all the "headline" habits like journaling, meditating, exercise, and planning, which one would I focus on to drive business? 👉🏼One business at 100% or multiple businesses at 80%? 👉🏼If I started tomorrow, what's the first thing I'd make sure is there above all else, with today's tech and media? If you want me to do more episodes like this, drop a comment with the question you'd ask me next time. Your Business is Stuck Because of Your Nervous System (Not Your Funnel)
Today I'm talking mindset, the serious stuff. We're talking brain chemistry for business and why your business is a reflection of your capacity. Your capacity to handle pressure, self-doubt, criticism, rejection, overwhelm, people, and the emotions that come with all of it. Most people think they need a new funnel, a new offer, better ads, better content, better scripts, better routines. Sometimes, yes. But for most business owners, it only "works" for a few weeks… then you're back to stalled, snappy, stressed, maxed out. Why? Because you fixed the strategy, but didn't expand capacity. Here's the line I want you to remember: Your business will only ever grow to the level you can handle. The level your nervous system can handle. The chain that runs everything - Results come from behaviours. - Behaviours come from feelings. - Feelings come from brain chemistry. - Brain chemistry comes from attention. - Attention comes from the questions you ask yourself all day. If you don't take conscious control of your attention, your brain runs a negative autopilot and scans for threat. The threat list is different now, but the wiring is the same. The 4 loops most business owners live in - Stress loop (cortisol/adrenaline): checking everything, jumping tasks, snapping, over-explaining, blaming time. - Apathy loop (dopamine flatline): scrolling, ghosting leads, pushing everything to tomorrow, nothing finished. - Growth loop (dopamine/serotonin): clear, motivated, bold decisions, criticism doesn't stick, habits on point. - Happiness/joy loop (serotonin/oxytocin): calm, confident, connected, present, resilient, unstoppable. Default questions vs design questions Most people run on default questions like "What if it doesn't work?" "Why am I so behind?" "Why aren't the sales coming in?" "What's the point?" and it triggers stress or apathy. Design questions change the chemistry and expand capacity. Here are some of the design questions I use: - What am I proud of from yesterday? - What was my biggest win from yesterday? - What would make today a win? - What uncomfortable action will I take today? - What's one move that will grow my revenue this week? - What's one thing in my life I'm lucky to have but often overlook? Homework Tomorrow morning, before your phone, before the news, before you even make a coffee, pick ONE question and answer it. Do that for a week and watch what happens to your clarity, confidence, and output. How to Recover From a Bad Week Without Starting Over
If you set goals, smash them for a few days (or two weeks)… and then they die by Valentine's Day, this is for you. Most business owners think they've got a goal problem. I don't. I think you've got a stopping problem, you keep starting… then stopping… then starting again. In this episode, I break down why you quit right before the payoff, and the "cheat code" I use so I never miss more than once. What I cover January Man: two weeks of beast mode, one slip, then "I'll restart Monday" The Lag Effect (from The 12 Week Year): your results today are an artefact of previous behaviour Why silence, crickets, no movement, no sales, isn't failure, it's the price of admission The trap of all-or-nothing (sounds tough, really means you quit when it's inconvenient) Minimum Effective Dose: the smallest thing that still counts, your floor, not your ceiling Never miss twice: one miss is human, two misses is a pattern, three misses is a quit Next Action: stop carrying the last mistake and "play the next ball" (I tell a story about Sunderland/Newcastle and Luke O'Nien's "NA" rule) HOMEWORK: Pick ONE thing you keep starting and stopping (posting, emails, sales calls, training, journaling, DMs). Write down: Your maximum version (perfect Tuesday) Your minimum version (the smallest version that still counts when life is chaos) Then live by the rule: minimum effective dose + never miss twice. The Engagement Extractor: Get More Engagement on Social Media
If you've ever felt like you're posting into the nether… if you feel invisible… if all you get is crickets on social media… this is for you. I've just taught my clients a training called The Engagement Extractor, and in this episode I'm giving you the mini version: the tactics, tools, and beliefs underneath it. Here's the truth: for most people it's not the algorithm… and it's not effort. I believe your content isn't personal enough. And remember this: content doesn't convert, conversations convert. The job of content is to generate conversations. The "Big 6" content types (and the 3 that work best) The six types are: 👉🏼Personal beliefs 👉🏼Personal stories 👉🏼Lifestyle shares 👉🏼Results shares (your results + client results) 👉🏼Engagement questions 👉🏼Invitations From my own best-performing posts, the winners are: beliefs, stories, and engagement questions. And here's the line to steal: Tips get saved. Stories get shared. Beliefs get argued. Why personal content wins 👉🏼Stories are relatable 👉🏼Beliefs create reactions 👉🏼Intimacy drops "commenting friction" 👉🏼Real stuff cuts through polished stuff 👉🏼Comments matter (they carry way more weight than likes, and they start conversations) The 9 places to pull content from (so you never say "I've got no stories" again) These prompts come from your actual week, not your head: Moments — what actually happened this week? Reactions — what made you think something again? what did you watch/see? You — what did you catch yourself doing this week? People — anything someone did/said that stood out? Wins — what's a small win from this week? Standards — what's something you'd never do? Decisions — what did you decide this week? Outside of work — what happened that's nothing to do with business? Random — what's stuck in your head? Homework (do this before you click off) Open your notes/calendar/photo album and look at the last 7 days. Write down one moment, one reaction, one belief — then post it with no polish and no overthinking. How to Unlock £10,000+ in Your Business (Without More Clients)
Most people think scaling means more clients. I don't. I think scaling is better clients, better systems, and better monetisation, so you can grow without your life getting eaten alive. In this episode, I'm showing you how to unlock thousands of pounds in your business without a single new customer. It starts with a simple reframe… McDonald's are the kings of the upsell. "Do you want fries with that?" is estimated to generate a HUGE chunk of revenue, and the margins are wild. So the question becomes: what's YOUR version of "fries with that"? The only ways to grow a business (and what most people ignore) Get more customers (often the hardest one) Get customers to spend more (upsells / premium options / add-ons) Get customers to stay longer (retention / recurring revenue / service plans) Turn customers into raving fans who refer people (reviews + referrals on purpose) I break down real examples of how this looks in the real world, trades, gyms, subscriptions, service plans, premium options, and why most businesses cap their income because they have no next step, no follow-up, and a forgettable experience. If your business feels like constant chasing, constant selling, constant pressure… don't assume it's a marketing problem. Check the business model first: Do people spend more? Do they stay? Do they refer? And the "mad part"? A lot of this is solved by one thing: ASKING. Decision Fatigue Is Wrecking Your Business (Fix It Like This)
Overwhelm isn't a workload problem. It's a decision problem. And the second you start making clear decisions, overwhelm starts to disappear. Welcome to Episode 9 of Paul Mort Talks Sh*t (Solo). I've been missing for a couple of weeks (no sound on a "killer episode", then I got sick, then events… chaos). And ironically… that made this episode even more relevant: overwhelm. In this one, I break down why business owners feel overwhelmed (at every level), why it doesn't show up by accident, and the simple system I use to stop arriving there, and to shift out of it fast when it hits. What I cover: 👉🏼Why overwhelm isn't "too much to do", it's unmade decisions + unclear priorities 👉🏼The idea that overwhelm is the feeling you must do everything… because you haven't decided what matters most 👉🏼The fastest reset: get it out of your head and onto paper (in your head = stress, on paper = a puzzle) The 30-point scoring system I use to decide what matters: 👉🏼Reality filter: What breaks if I don't do this this week? (deadline vs preference) 👉🏼Progress filter: Does this move my main goal forward by Friday? 👉🏼Calendar filter: Will I actually protect time for this? What to do with low-score tasks: delete it / park it / delegate it / schedule it The weekly non-negotiable: your Key 3, protected, defended, finished If you're overwhelmed right now, you don't need "more time"… you need to decide what matters, and then act like it matters. ‼️NEW FREE TRAINING: The Emotional Cycle of Change - Why Change Feels So Hard, and How to Stop Falling Back Into Old Patterns Every Time Life Kicks Off https://worklifebalance.biz/emotional-cycle-of-change-download Free Training: 3 Pillars to More Profit, More Time and Getting Your Passion Back https://www.paulmortmasterclass.com/optin1713871707473 Connect with Me Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/paulmortofficial Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/MrPaulMort/ LinkedIn - www.linkedin.com/in/paul-mort TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@paulmort YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@paulmortofficial

Progress Feels Invisible… Until You Do This (90-Day Review)
Most people completely misjudge their progress… because they judge it by how it feels. And progress can feel invisible… right up until you sit down and REVIEW it properly. Welcome to episode 8 of Paul Mort Talks Sh*t (Solo). Every 90 days, I sit down with no phone, no distractions and do a proper life + business review because you can't expect real self-belief without evidence. Q1 for me felt like a grind: slow progress, slow sales, I got sick twice, picked up a knee injury, and it felt like I'd missed a third of the quarter. But when I actually reviewed it? It turned out to be a great quarter, and that's the point: what it feels like isn't always what's happening. In this episode, I walk you through a short, cliff-notes version of the 90-day review, why most people avoid it (because they don't want to face the truth), and why reviewing stops you from repeating the same cycle over and over. I also share key lessons from my quarter, including: 👉🏼We don't fail… we stop (and I never miss two) 👉🏼If you don't slow down, your body will force you to 👉🏼Recovery matters more as you get older and small changes (like not scrolling at night) can make a massive difference 👉🏼The next level is often subtraction, not adding more If you do the review properly, it takes about 20 minutes, and you'll stop guessing, stop hoping, and start building real clarity and momentum. ‼️Paul Mort's Quarterly Life & Business Review: The Exact 20-Minute Review I Use Every 90 Days to Reset My Life & Business https://worklifebalance.biz/q1-review-doc-download NEW FREE TRAINING: The Emotional Cycle of Change Why Change Feels So Hard, and How to Stop Falling Back Into Old Patterns Every Time Life Kicks Off https://worklifebalance.biz/emotional-cycle-of-change-download Free Training: 3 Pillars to More Profit, More Time and Getting Your Passion Back https://www.paulmortmasterclass.com/optin1713871707473 Connect with Me Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/paulmortofficial Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/MrPaulMort/ LinkedIn - www.linkedin.com/in/paul-mort TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@paulmort YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@paulmortofficial

Why Your Offer Isn't Selling: You're Not the Obvious Choice
If people aren't buying, it's usually not your offer… it's that you don't look like the obvious choice. In this episode, I'll show you how to fix that by building real authority (not "viral" nonsense). Welcome to Episode 7 of Paul Mort Talks Sh*t (Solo). This week I'm talking about authority because most of us aren't posting online to be influencers… we're doing it to get clients and customers. And whether people say it out loud or not, they're always asking: - Why should I listen to you? - Why should I trust you? - Why should I buy from you? If your content isn't converting, this is usually why: you're not answering those questions clearly enough… so you don't become the obvious choice. The Authority Engine (4 parts) In this episode, I break down my framework for building authority faster: ∙Visibility - consistently showing up with useful, educational content. ∙Signals - stage time, podcasts, collabs, awards, network… credibility signals that make people trust you quicker. ∙Assets - things that compound (books, reports, video series, tools) that prove you know your stuff over time. ∙Positioning - one painful problem you solve, explained simply, repeated consistently. I also talk about the trap people fall into, thinking authority is a blue tick, trend-hopping, and chasing virality… when real authority is built through education, proof, and consistency. ‼️Action for you: score yourself out of 10 on each one: Visibility / Signals / Assets / Positioning. 7 Lessons From £6 Million in Sales (Steal These)
This one is simple: if sales feel slower than they should, you don't need more "tactics"… you need the fundamentals that make people say YES. Welcome to Episode 6 of Paul Mort Talks Sh*t (Solo). In this episode, I break down the 7 lessons that make selling easier, cleaner, and way more consistent: The 7 lessons I cover: 1. Money flows to perceived value 2. People buy when they are uncomfortable 3. Proof removes doubt 4. Offer clarity will make selling easy 5. Deadlines drive decisions, urgency creates action 6. Authority reduces resistance 7. Confidence is irresistible If you're a business owner and things feel slower right now, this episode will help you tighten up your thinking, your offer, and your sales process, without chasing "new tricks". 👇 Drop a comment: which lesson hit you hardest, and what are you going to change this week? The Reviewing Habit That Changed My Life (Here's the System I Use)
If you feel inconsistent, flat, or like you're going 90mph to nowhere… this is why. Here are the DAILY, WEEKLY, and QUARTERLY review questions I use to build clarity + confidence fast. Welcome to Episode 5 of Paul Mort Talks Sh*t (Solo). I'm obsessed with something that sounds boring… Reviewing. Debriefing. Measuring backwards. And it's changed my life. Not because I love journaling (I'm a northern bloke… it's not that), but because I love the RESULT: confidence, self-belief, clarity, and momentum. Most people don't review… so they end up guessing. They rely on feelings ("I feel like it's not working…") and that's how people drift, lose hope, and quietly quit on themselves. So, in this episode, I give you the exact questions I use to turn: feelings into facts, drama into data, chaos into clarity, effort into evidence. ✅ DAILY QUESTIONS (as I do them) What are my 5 wins today? Who did I have a positive impact on today? What opportunity am I most ready to capitalise on right now? ✅ WEEKLY QUESTIONS What did I say I was going to do… and did I do it? What was my magic moment this week? (and what actually moved the needle forward?) What did I do, say, or ask that was outside my comfort zone? ✅ QUARTERLY QUESTIONS What are my 10 biggest wins this quarter (personally and professionally)? What was the secret to those wins? (what made them happen?) What did I not achieve / where did I let myself down / what promises did I break, and why? If you've been feeling flat, inconsistent, unmotivated, or like you're "going 90mph to nowhere"… Try this for 7 days. Keep score. Collect evidence. Watch what happens. CHALLENGE: ➡️ Drop a comment: which question is your favourite, and which one are you going to start using today? Stop Asking "How" & Start Asking "WHO" (Business Cheat Code)
Welcome back to Paul Mort Talks Sh*t (Solo). This episode is about a concept that's been a complete cheat code for me in business: WHO, not HOW. Most people sit there asking: "How do I do this?" I ask: "Who can help me?" "Who's already done it?" "Who can open the door?" But here's the problem… People have got this twisted. They think "who not how" means skip the work and DM strangers asking for favours. This week alone I got messages like: "Can you hook me up with your contact at Neutonic?" "Can you message James Smith for me?" "Can you send me your agent / HarperCollins contact?" From people I don't know. No relationship. No value given. Just take, take, take. So in this episode I break down how this REALLY works. What I cover: ➡️ Why asking before giving kills trust (emotional bank account) ➡️ Why introductions put someone's reputation on the line ➡️ The truth: access isn't free — it's earned (effort, energy, sometimes money) ➡️ Why most of my connections came from rooms, events, masterminds… not DMs ➡️ The key relationship question: "What's in it for them?" The 6 steps I use to build relationships and grow my network properly: 1. Get in the room 2. Introduce yourself like an adult 3. Be memorable (not loud) 4. Do something useful / give value 5. Follow up 6. Water the relationship (don't only show up when you want something) And I finish with 3 questions you should ask before you request a favour or intro: 1. Have I added value first? 2. If roles were reversed, would it feel fair? 3. Am I asking for access… or trying to skip the work? If you want bigger opportunities, better connections, and doors opening faster… Get in the f*cking room. Why Your Content Isn't Converting (And What To Do Instead)
One of the biggest things business owners tell me is: "I need more leads." And listen, I'd like more leads too… but most people don't even speak to the leads they've already got. They've got followers, connections, old enquiries, past clients… and they're doing NOTHING with them. Because what we really want isn't "more leads"… It's more sales. In this episode, I break down my Trust Ladder / Sales Ladder, a simple way to stop trying to convince strangers to buy, and start making offers to the people who already know you, like you, and trust you. What I cover: ➡️ Why content gets attention… but doesn't convert deals on its own ➡️ The 4 tiers: cold contacts → engaged audience → warm leads → past/current clients ➡️ Why you should start at the TOP if you want sales this week ➡️ How to message current + past clients with simple offers (without overthinking it) ➡️ What to do with warm leads who've gone quiet: "shrink the decision" ➡️ How to move engaged followers up the ladder using hand-raisers (comment/DM prompts) If you want to make more sales, stop obsessing over going viral and start working the ladder properly, top-down. If this helped, do the like/subscribe/follow thing… and drop a comment with what you want me to cover next. Business Is Hard in 2026… Here's How You Win Anyway
This week I'm talking about something most people in my position won't admit: Business can be HARD. And the start of 2026 has been hard for me too; less traction, fewer sales, fewer sign-ups than I want. So, instead of pretending everything's perfect, I'm telling you what I think is actually happening in the market right now… and what I believe wins this year. In this episode, I cover: ➡️ Why 2026 feels harder: more noise, less attention, higher expectations, sceptical buyers. ➡️ Why people are slower to trust but faster to reject (and why "not right now" is everywhere). ➡️ The trap of confusing output with progress (AI makes it easier to produce… not necessarily to grow). ➡️ My key question for every decision this year: "Does this make the business calmer or more complicated?" ➡️ What wins in 2026: clarity over volume, reliability over novelty, calm invites, clear next steps, confidence without hype. ➡️ The trust line: how to remove distance, stop hiding behind brands/tools, and build certainty faster. ➡️ Why great people are gold dust and why energy might be your biggest advantage in a tired, robotic world. If you're an established business owner and it feels like people are hesitating more, trusting less, and it's getting harder to stand out… This episode will help you simplify, sharpen, and stop doing sh*t that burns energy without building trust. Your move: Where do people hesitate signing up with you? Where are you being vague? What feels messy? And what would remove doubt fastest? 👇 Subscribe + drop a comment with your biggest insight. Right now, I'm seeing it everywhere. Business owners with experience. Skills. A decent income. But they've hit a wall—and no matter how hard they push, they can't break through it. This episode is for the business owner who's doing "all the right things"... but is STILL stuck at the same level. You've grown to a point—but now? You're coasting. Plateaued. And deep down, you know it's not because you're lazy or not good enough. It's something else. And that's exactly what I'm diving into today. Here's what I get into: - The REAL reasons experienced business owners hit income ceilings - Why "more leads" is NOT your actual problem - How your effort and energy might be keeping you stuck - The 2019 moment that changed how I grow businesses forever - And how to finally regain control over your time, energy, and results This is raw, practical, no-fluff talk from someone who's been in business 25+ years.
